I have the same opinion of Depp. He played with Beck, he tours with Joe Perry, Alice Cooper sings with them so it’s not a fake band. I don’t listen to him play but I have to believe he isn’t awful.
Jordan Mailata (Tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles) is an INCREDIBLE singer who happens to play guitar. He’s also a huge man so it’s funny to see a normal sized guitar on such a big man.
I played a few gigs (separately with some) MN Vikings. I did a few songs with Esera Tuaolo, who is a phenomenal singer. I also played a gig with Chris Kluwe, the kicker (we were in separate bands), who played bass.

Stephen King is playing a "Kramer Ferrington" they were made in the 80s.... thinline acoustic with an electric type neck and jack for amplification That's why the headstock looks similar to the hockey stick. There was an ad floating around of EVH holding one
Just started watching, Tyler. That song Antonio played was One Note Samba, originally played by Jaio Gilberto with the legendary Stan Getz on the Getz Au Go-Go and the Getz and Gilberto albums in the early-mid '60's.
You can see a glimmer of Bandera's playing in 'Desperado' where he starts to play a piece for a kid, then decides NOPE, but not before he plays a *_lightning_* fast Spanish lick before putting his guitar away... BTW...umm...Jared Leto...?
Kevin Costner has a terrific band, and he's a really great rhythm guitar player. Samuel L. Jackson, Ryan Gosling, Kieffer Sutherland are competitive too....
Some mentions of specifically actors who actually are surprisingly talented musicians is Oscar Isaac who sang and played all his parts in Inside Llewyn Davis (which is one of the best music films I’ve ever seen) as well as Garrett Hedlund who’s performance in Country Strong has ever since made me think he should have stayed in Nashville and been a country singer. Voice reminiscent of a bottle of Jack Daniel’s and a pack of Marlboro reds.
Jason Momoa also plays bass very well. There's a clip of him playing with Les Claypool, and him performing Higher Ground with another band I don't know the name of
Adam Levine’s guitar playing on the live cover of Purple Rain was pretty nasty not gonna lie. I Knew he could sing. Solo came out of nowhere. Pretty sweet cover.
That guitar is either a Kramer Ferington or just a Ferington. They were originally designed for bands like Kiss and Motley Crüe for their MTV unplugged albums, although Kurt Cobain also had one.
1. Kiefer Sutherland. He has a Signature Gibson guitar - the KS366. 2. Russell Crowe. He is touring Europe again this year. 3. Hugh Laurie. These guys are serious players. By the way, what is that watch you’re rocking on your wrist?
You made me do a web search - LOL. A couple of surprises were 1) Hugh Laurie - it's pretty well known what an amazing musician he is, especially on piano, but his slide blues guitar chops aren't bad at all. 2) (the surprise) Kristian Nairn (played Hodor on GOT) - pretty good!
The Rock does play guitar. Search his "Rock Concert" where he does a parody of "Tears In Heaven" for Vickie Guerrero. Looked like a Kramer Ferrington that Stephen King was playing. You need to see more of Steven Seagal playing guitar. It's a good laugh.

saw johnny deep play with jeff beck half a year before he died, they were touring together, if jeff beck wanted him there he can probably play
I have the same opinion of Depp. He played with Beck, he tours with Joe Perry, Alice Cooper sings with them so it’s not a fake band. I don’t listen to him play but I have to believe he isn’t awful.
Nope
Heard him play blues in a Details thing (on RUclips) and it’s awesome. Wish he’d play more of that!
😂Dude imitation of Segal pretty damn funny , wasn't expecting that
Kristian Nairn, the "hodor" from "game of thrones" is a metal head and a decent guitarist. There's a video where he plays holy wars with megadeth
How about Tia Carrere or Mike Myers, ..... Gary Busey, Keith and David Carradine, Steve Martin, to name a few.
Tia Carrere has a Grammy for Hawaiian music, good ukelele player too.
I think it was on his Inside the Actor's Studio interview that Cinan was asked what he would do if he wasn't a talkshow comedian and he said he'd be in a rock and roll band, and I think he meant it.
Kevin Bacon's had a band with his brother for decades.
The Bacon Brothers!
I enjoyed that. Thx! How about Bruce Greenwood, Kiefer Sutherland, Bruce Willis, Keanu Reeves and Kevin Costner?
Hey, your strat’s broken, man 😂
Take a look at (imo) Japan's greatest guitar player Kazumi Watanabe! He was recently hospitalized and I'm sad that people in the west don't know enough of the guy.
I got a free record of "Unicorn" in a guitar magazine back in '86, very tasty musician! Sad to hear he's having medical issues, I seriously hope he recovers!
@@KainzMusic I actually have that exact magazine! It has Geddy Lee on the front page and on the back of the record it had Steve Morse i think testing out JBL products
Stephen King is playing a "Kramer Ferrington"
they were made in the 80s.... thinline acoustic with an electric type neck and jack for amplification
That's why the headstock looks similar to the hockey stick.
I think it’s very cool of you how you only made positive comments instead of dissing, which would not have been hard to do on most of these clips.
Hugh Laurie.
He also plays some mean piano.
Look for his version St. James Infirmary.
Once you get into piano, you gotta give it up for Jeff Goldblum. Sam Neill plays a nice ukulele, by the way.
Momoa is big bass guy too, videos of him playing with Les Claypool
Wow I forsure thought Hugh Laurie would be #1 or at least on the list.
the bacon brothers are legit band, been around since 1994 and released like 7 albums so far. definitely worth a listen.
correct me if im wrong but i think Mike J fox played johnny B goode for real in back to the future. as in that was actually him playing
I believe so.
He did not...
Antonio's is playing the bossa nova "One note Samba"
You can see a glimmer of Bandera's playing in 'Desperado' where he starts to play a piece for a kid, then decides NOPE, but not before he plays a *_lightning_* fast Spanish lick before putting his guitar away...
BTW...umm...Jared Leto...?
I'm gonna go to the office: Rainn Wilson, Bob Odenkirk, Ed Helms, Hugh Dane sort of. Oh, that reminds me, Chris Pratt on parks n rec.
I am amazed that you didn't know that Banderas played the guitar in Cancion del Mariachi, the Desperado song.
You're a cool dude. Really love your positive slant on everything.
steve martin also a good picker
Sylvio from the Sopranos for sure!
You can tell how tall Conan is when that LP looks like a 3/4 scale.
Kevin Costner has a terrific band, and he's a really great rhythm guitar player.
Samuel L. Jackson, Ryan Gosling, Kieffer Sutherland are competitive too....
jack black and the school of rock movie is the reason i started playing or ever even had an interest in music when i was younger
Voice reminiscent of a bottle of Jack Daniel’s and a pack of Marlboro reds.
that's a samba, its called "the samba of one note" from Tom Jobim
One note samba
Conan O'Brien did an awesome version of George Harrison's Old Brown Shoe at a tribute concert.
Im convinced that Miles Kennedy is actually just another stage name for Kevin Bacon.
Jason Momoa also plays bass very well. There's a clip of him playing with Les Claypool, and him performing Higher Ground with another band I don't know the name of
Depp should form a supergroup with Corey Feldman and call it Jelly Baby!
Depp is so much better as a musician
Russel Crowe
Keanu Reaves(bass.....but he is the classiest celeb)
River Phoenix
Johnny Depp
Billy Bob Thorton
Adam Levine’s guitar playing on the live cover of Purple Rain was pretty nasty not gonna lie. I Knew he could sing. Solo came out of nowhere. Pretty sweet cover.
Oh yeah! The one at Howard’s birthday party. Legendary.
Conan just interviewed Brian Setzer on his podcast. It's great! He is deep into the classic electric guitars and players.
You've gotta give Steven Seagal some credit in using his thumb technique for the guitar while the rest of his fingers for killing other people
That guitar is either a Kramer Ferington or just a Ferington. They were originally designed for bands like Kiss and Motley Crüe for their MTV unplugged albums, although Kurt Cobain also had one.
Terrible guitars 😂
Steve Martin does crazy banjo stuff. I know it's not the same, but still cool
Stephen King looks like he's playing a Kramer Ferrington
Sasha Spielberg is Stevens Daughter. She was in Licorice Pizza. She is buddies with Haim.
Are we all going to ignore the fact that Steven Segal wasn't actually playing? Or is his level of sarcasm too high for me?
Looks like he was playing and there is lots of footage of him playing. I hate the man but he can do what he does well enough. Not bad not great.
If you count bass, Keanu Reeves.
Oscar Isaak, Hugh laurie, jeff bridges, Ryan gosling, Charles esten.
what about steve martin, dude is great and an even better banjo player! absolutely rips
1. Kiefer Sutherland. He has a Signature Gibson guitar - the KS366.
2. Russell Crowe. He is touring Europe again this year.
3. Hugh Laurie.
These guys are serious players.
By the way, what is that watch you’re rocking on your wrist?
That was something different and I for one, really enjoyed that. Who knew the Rock could play ukulele, and decent at that?!
Segal was surprisingly good!
He became lessons from Trevor Rabin in exchange for a pair contacts in the movies industry because he wanted to write music for films.
He’s a legend in his own mind.
Banderas played "Samba de uma nota só". A Brazilian samba/bossa composed by Tom Jobim. Look for Baden Powell's version of it. It's insane!
If you like the thumb technique check out Toy Caldwell from The Marshall Tucker Band...
Jeff Daniels can play exceptionally well.
why am I not on there?
ask yourself
Banderas was playing One Note Samba by Jobim !
Robert Pattinson played guitar on a Death Grips song, one of my favourite music fun facts
Damn.. got suckered by your thumbnail 😂
Jared Leto, Hugh Laurie, John McEnroe, Ryan Gosling, Damon Hill (who played with def leppard)
I read that John McEnroe has a band with ------------------------- Henrik Lundqvist. I'd like to hear how those two got together.
Damn I came for that and it's not there
