One week they had this new finest product , 20 a pack, which was crazy at the time and my father thought I was crazy for using all 20 on one pack. Hit a John Kruck refractor from that pack. Great video, Chris. So many great cards and sets in the us era. I think my favorite is the 1993 Finest refractor set. The fact that they are the absolute first refractors in hobby history, and the scarcity, it’s just hard not to love them. 241 copies of each and you’re right, raw copies, and honestly even graded copies, don’t pop up a bunch. Most people who own these are collectors and won’t be selling.

You said when Kirk Gibson coming off the bench injured in the 1st game of the 1988 World Series - Oakland A's vs. the LA Dodgers with a walk-off homerun. I said it was the walk-off homerun by Joe Carter to repeat Championships in 1992 and 1993. I also asked you prior to the 2023 MLB Season if you were pumped up about the World Baseball Classic. I recently bought a lot of cards from an estate sale. All of the cards are between 1989 and 1994 and I have at least one of the cards from every player in this video. I really don't know what I'm doing or going to do, but I feel like I either want to have cards graded and keep them or sell them.
    With that in mind, I get the impression that this generation of cards only has value if the cards are perfect and from what I saw here, the likely hood that this generation of cards is a 9 or 10 is low.
    What would you recommend someone who has never collected before do? My collection looks like it's in good shape, but the cards don't pop like current cards, I assume that was the limitations of printing 35 years ago.

He passed away and I found these unopened boxes in a Rubbermaid of things he collected. I don’t want to do the wrong thing and open them, how do I see if anything is in there? I like the black gold inserts, but honestly they’re not worth grading. Plus you could probably still pull the Griffey from a pack without it costing an arm and a leg. Good luck getting a hold of much unopened 93 finest wax…

    Chris;
    You never told us if you own a copy of that rare Cal Ripken card you had at #10 on your list. If not, maybe one of your loyal viewers might have it socked away somewhere? As for myself, I don’t own one!
