I was just saying how underrated the 1997 Skybox E-X 2001 set is looking at my Mussina last night. In all sports! Such great looking quality cards. One of my all time favorites.
The PSA grade curve is ridiculous. That "10" is really making the industry suck. As a collector, I'd love any of these iconic rookies at a 9, that could technically be a 10 on a different day, to save the money.
Steph Curry for the teammate question. Either Steph or Kobe bcse now I've confused myself but those 2 are my FAVS so I absolutely know without a doubt they've never been on the same team.
That’s the problem with modern cards of a player like Wembanyana, his values are already baked in. Collecting modern cards for long-term value makes no sense and has created the hobby we have today of flippers.
Chris, I would love to see a video on the biggest 9 to 10 multiplier. Some of these are 10x from 9 to a 10. Would like to see it with fairly common cards, like the 1992 leaf Jeff Kent in a PSA 9 is around $10 but a 10 is around $220, that card is a $1 raw and junk wax. Just crazy multipliers from 9 to 10.
I was wondering, for raw cards, are the prices considering it is the equivalent of a PSA 10 ? I guess so, most of the time PSA 8 is equal or lower in value then the raw version 🤷🏻♂️
Imagine paying at times thousands more for a PSA 10 when it has an element of subjectiveness or could be something you need a magnifying glass to see. Give me a Psa 9 and a few grand anyway. Has to be some spectrum involved in being willing to part with money just to say you have a better card.
It’s a purely status thing of high end buyers. That’s why PSA 10’s are so ridiculously high because the average collector like us thinks those prices are ridiculous. PSA 9 prices aren’t ridiculous as their values line up with 99% of the hobby. The problem is the RUclips community constantly focuses on PSA 10 prices, despite the fact that 99% of their viewers are in the PSA 9 price bracket. If this video didn’t even mention the PSA 10 prices and was the top 15 PSA 9 cards of the 90’s, all of us here could relate because we could afford everyone.
My guess would be Chauncy Billups not in the hall of fame and Allen Iverson which is hard to believe he never played with one of these hall of famers. I might be wrong please let me know.
The PSA 10 multiplier is nothing short of ridiculous
This was a fun blast from the past. Felt like I was reliving some of my childhood.

Agreed!

1. Anfernee Hardaway 2. I believe it's Duncan
Correct on both!
Thank you for your efforts
Gread vid!!Two thumbs up 👍👍
Steph Curry for the teammate question.
Either Steph or Kobe bcse now I've confused myself but those 2 are my FAVS so I absolutely know without a doubt they've never been on the same team.
Steph Curry did not start playing in the 1990s. Sheesh.
So basically, if you've got a Wemby that might have some interest, now is the time to move it, because there's no appreciation. Cool

Also penny hardaway is not HOf
Correct! And great idea for a video...
1) Penny
2) Duncan
Correct on both!
@ thanks!
They don’t make cards these days like they used to!

Iverson & Hardaway
1-Vince Carter (just got voted in)
2-Tim Duncan
Correct on #2, but not on #1
1. Penny Hardaway
2. Allen Iverson
Iverson played with Webber ih Philly
Correct on #1, Iverson played with Webber
*running to old 5k boxes of basketball I haven't opened since the 90's....* My weekend is set-- thanks research division! 😂🤣😅😆

Imagine buying any piece of collectible paper sealed in a piece of plastic. Yet for some reason I keep doing it
@ i don’t have a single graded card in my collection. I’m not against grading, but don’t get the amount people will pay for a PSA 10 over a 9.🤯

Ex2000 my favorite set in my favorite era of basketball. NBA is trash now especially the million Panini cards out there!
1. Penny Hardaway
2. Allen Iverson was my first guess but he might have played with Billups in Detroit, so I’ll say Webber.
Iverson actually played with Webber
Correct on #1. Iverson played with Webber
My other guess would be Penny Hardaway not in the hall of fame
Correct!
I have a chrome Duncan but it is showing a little greening unfortunately.
Anfernee Hardaway is not in the hall of fame and Tim Duncan didn't have anyone on his team from this list
Correct on both!
Penny/TMAC
TMAC played with Chauncey
Correct on Penny. TMac played with Vince Carter
First glance, Penny Hardaway not in HOF and Tim Duncan with no teammates on list.
Correct on both!
@ oh good! I was worried after I commented and started reading through others’ comments 😆
My guess would be Chauncy Billups not in the hall of fame and Allen Iverson which is hard to believe he never played with one of these hall of famers. I might be wrong please let me know.
Billups is in the HOF and Iverson played with Chris Webber
1. Penny.? 2. Dirk? Excellent question as the Olympics put allot of these players together.
Dirk played with Kidd and Nash
Correct on #1, not on #2
Hmm, is it Vince Carter for non-HOF and Jason Kidd for no teammate connection?
Try again :) Carter is in the HOF and Kidd played with Dirk.
ESPN ranking Shaq #11 criminal probably got Bronny at #3
Jason Williams didn't make the list? I think his 1998 spa should've made it.
Kobe and Shaq > Duncan
First?😂
That was so fast ⚡
We have a winner!
First!
