This is the first time where it actually /feels/ like a unit has 150+ speed. Good work ca for finally making legitimately fast units. Just a bit of a shame that they can become involuntary airforce.
I think it is only in those Cathay maps, but I'm not 100% sure there.
Honestly that's better imo, your chariots *should* go flying and crash if they go full speed down a rice terrace.
@@marconarvaez9871 thats not the problem. chariots should indeed crash. the question is: how did a map that contains such a feature even make it into the release? they seriously did not playtest this.

@@nvmtt1403 something tells me they weren't gunna test chariots with a 70% speed boost to see if they'd die from going off one of the very few inclines like that, that you can actually traverse

Seems like legion of chaos has the most potential for doomstack.
Also… a daemon died due to fall.
mostly cause you get access to ALL the hero units except cultists, so single entity doomstacks with a single nurgle hero are great
Healings form nurgel makes a big difference
Its a pleasant surprise tho. Nurgle hero being very vital in a doomstack.

The aluress that died to fall damage was probably happy with the pain they experienced.
It is a good pain
Dying during a phat stunt is the highest of pleasures.
Plus you gotta take into account the pleasure of being a serious speed-freak, the rush before the splat.

Turns out they died from the pleasure, not the damage
pov: you're a cathan general, you see your entire army save a couple of skyjunks get wiped out by this chariot army and you get ready for a rematch were you will certainly die. They instead of attacking just race each other to see who is the quickest and leaves.
And then you get the win. What a day.
Quite on brand for the craziness of Chinese history to be honest

I always liked the idea of dozens of wizards channeling massive amounts of magic. It's a shame they changed it in WH3.
Yeah collecting massive amounts of magic and unleashing it to wipe out unsuspecting armies was exciting to me.
I know you don't mod your game, but hopefully you'll agree that the mod to remove the souls race would be one worth considering doing a live stream with. Come on Legend break your rule this one time!

Legend when you search through abilities, you can click the + button before Abilities to expand it - it's easier.
When the video feels as if he had set the game to max speed, but then it's just normal speed with the units moving as if it was max game speed :D

Watching that chariot die at the start is like watching a horse-drawn race car catching air underneath itself to flip out and crash.
That second battle Cathay army must've been super confused just looking at the chariots racing.
lol this reminds me of a doomstack i made in my Ikit Claw playthrough where it was just all doomflayers. The story behind them was that they were a motorcycle gang that roamed the country side killing anyone that got in their way. Sometimes they would support the main army, which was a bunch of guns and artillery, if need be.

The doomstack we didn't know we need
You can actually build something similar with Exalted Seeker Chariot (it's a unit after all), not as fast but still fast enough (I think the base speed of the Chariots is around 100), put an Exalted Keeper of Secret for anti Large and you are supposed to be fine.

Hardest part on hero doomstacks is to get sufficient numbers of heroes with a specific trait if that´s what you want.
Like me for my Hunter Doomstack, i´m trying to get all Disciplined Hunters, but until i get enough, i use Stonehorns with Harpoon as a placeholder. I still need 5 more... just 5 MOAR....!

Looks like a fun doomstack, unless you are the hand that has to do all the clicking. Moving your army so it won't get stuck should not cost 4 clicks per second :)

All the speed boosts make me wonder just how fast can you make Nurgle units like the Great Unclean One run. If at all.
I did see units take fall damage one day and I didn't understand why at the time but it screwed my battle right up.
That makes me wonder if a Cultist stack might actually be viable for N'Karis campaign. You can spam them pretty easily, they get a summon ability around lvl 10, and it's not like you need them for anything important later in the game.
