Chuck might have been called the father of rock and roll, but the first rock and roll song was Rocket 88. Jackie Brenston and his Delta Cats recorded it back in 3/3/1951. Song went #1. Inducted into the Blues Hall of fame, Grammy Hall of Fame, Rock and Roll Hall of fame. And this year, The National Recording Registry. Chess Records first number 1 song.

When it was time to go chuck asked me to pick out an air freshener for his 1965 mint condition black caddy. It was so Awsome. RIP CHUCK AND RIP GRANT MOLER JR.( DADDY) wonderful memory. This was in 72, you realize he'd been popular only about 15 years at this point but was already a legend. He was around 40 then and still rocking hard! Nobody knew how long rockers would go because he was the first of his kind! I think Jagger said if he was still singing at 40 he wanted someone to kill him. Now he's near 70 and yes, still singing. Chuck is 83 now? Still performing! That's how long rockers can keep going!

Watching and listening to this just puts a smile on your face. It had to be a privilege being a cat in Mr. Chuck Berry's band. With Chucks lyrics, how do the cats keep from laughing and staying in time. Alot of rehearsals..
