My friend screamed for his autograph and Chuck pointed right at him and said 'You come here' over to the limousine and he sat inside while Chuck gave him a most personal autograph for his book.
Many have copied, none have duplicated that Chuck Berry sound. Both in the studio or live, you know it’s Chuck within the first few notes. What a master. And a proud one too. Watching him berate Keith Richards - an uncompromising and proud man in his own right - in Hail Hail Rock and Roll was absolutely priceless!
