The Countryside Cardigan is a boxy, cropped crochet cardigan features tapered sleeves finished with bobble cuffs and neckline. This drop shoulder design is created in five panels that are seamed together with optional elbow patches instructions to create a rustic à la campagne look :)

You can use whatever you like but changing the hook size, working out the guage of stitches, sizing ? That can be challenging. That is just my opinion. Others may think differently. I usually try my idea, if it doesn't look right, I frog it ! God's favor 🙏.🌞

Every skien and Hank of yarn has different yardage. Depends on style ,weight , etc. They always give more yardage for plain colors but cut yardage for mettalics added, or marked, or any " fancy " coloring added.

Hello, I'm not familiar with 'madala' yarn but I'd recommend using a DK weight yarn :)

Mandala is a #3 weight yarn . DK is "double knit " yarn and falls into the category of #3 - light yarn weight along with light worsted weight yarn. ( Worsted weight is more than 2 strands woven together- usually 4 strands). Confusing ? Not really. It all works out . Go for it !
So, yes, Mandala would be ok as per this pattern and tutorial. . 🌞 🙏 God's favor .
