I just finished this project...my first cardigan! Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas and excellent instruction.
was the pattern true to size? I’m doing the small and i’m worried that 151 stitches is too big?
This tutorial was exceptional! Finished my first cardigan, added some contrasting colors and a small border. It was gorgeous. Thank you!
Wow! Thank you so much. My grandson asked for pockets in his sweater. Now I can do it for him. Love this!
Glad you found this helpful! I hope your grandson likes his sweater :)
Merci pour les modèles. J'en ai fait plusieurs. Et même sans comprendre, les vidéos sont très explicites. Merci encore et bravo. 😚
What you did to hide the pocket was brilliant. Wish I knew this before starting my current cardigan project! But as soon as I am done, I am making this! Thank you.
Thank you! It's such a fun project :)
Omg I'm so glad I found your channel because my new years resolution is to crochet myself a cardigan because I love them. Then i make several instead of buying them. Thank you so much. I definitely subscribed. ❤
Good luck! Its so much fun making your own items :) Thanks for watching!
This cardigan is absolutely beautiful!!!🧶🧶🧶😊
Thank you so much :)
That's a very pretty, yet simple, sweater. Looks easy so I'll give it a try. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching Judi!
Beautiful and very well explained 👌
hi from the netherlands. i am making this sweater right now and i am half way. thanks for the easy patern. my daughters all want one now. so after this one i have 2 more to go.
Hi Jonie, I'm so glad you like this pattern! Your daughter's are very lucky to have you crocheting for them! Grace :)
Love this. Great way to make a pocket.
Thank you Carol!
Very clever pockets. Lovely cardigan
Thank you :)
I’m very excited to learn about invisible pockets :)
This is so easy to follow!!! Really glad I found this video! Can’t wait for part 2 😊
Thanks Alyssa! I'm glad you found it easy to follow :)
Another fabulous creation and tutorial. I get excited when I see you’ve posted a new tutorial cause I know I’m making another piece for my wardrobe! 💜💜🙏🙏💜💜
Aw thank you so much Vicky! Thank you for always be so supportive :)
Just started this. I'm on row 15. I'm so excited for the finished product. THANK YOU so much for this tutorial as I am a visual learner and find that reading patterns is a bit of a challenge for me 🤗🤗🤗
Hi Julie, I'm glad this tutorial is helpful! Thanks for watching :)
Could you give me an idea how much yardage I need to do this? Also I need a 2x..
What would I need to do to increase this?
I really love this yarn, it is so gorgeous, airy, and light; just my kind of yarn! I love the style of this cardigan. I need to make one, as soon as I can find some yarn that is comparable to the one you are using! 💚💙
Лайк!
Lovely cardigan. I will definitely make it. I’ll wait for the second part before I start it though, as I prefer to work things in one go. I’m impatient lol so never follow along with cals or tutorials in separate parts, I just wait for the whole pattern to be released then I start them. Great work. Look forward to starting it. X
Thanks Donna! Haha I'm a bit impatient too but since this was such a big project I had to separate the videos or my laptop crashes when editing 😅I'm releasing part 2 (final part) next week and the body takes quite a while to make (since its so long) so if you start now it might be perfect timing to start the sleeves next weekend :)
forthefrills lol I think it’s just I get excited and want to do things as fast as possible hehe. I did the mandala madness once it was all released. I’ve heard of quite a few people having issues with uploading longer videos, can be a nightmare. I know how much work goes into each videos/tutorials my hubs do YT too. So I understand why you/other people have to do things in parts. I look forward to seeing the rest. 😊 x
I bought the pattern and I recommend it highly :)
Thanks! The project looks great. Love the finished look
I was planning to start the Oversized Pocket Cardigan that you have a tutorial for. But now I see this one. Which to make first? Decisions, decisions. Thank you for a lovely Coatigan, Grace. You're very talented
Aw thank you so much Amy! I'm so glad you like the designs. My to-make list is a mile long too :)
Absolutely love this pattern thank you so much for sharing beautiful
Thanks Linda :)
Beautiful design!
Thank you Paula!

Thank you so much Trish :)

I love this cardigan thank you for sharing...I'm gonna make it
It is nice and cozy.
EXCELLENT!!! looove it thank you for sharing your valuable time thank you....
ooooh, i love it. you are very clever 😊
Thank you! The hidden pockets are so satisfying :)
Can you use big twist yarn for this project?
Can't wait to try this. Great tutorial!
Thank you for sharing, I want to make this in a large for my daughter-in-law how many skeins of the yarn that you are using. I want to order the same yarn. Thank you.
My bust is 32 inches. I'm making small size and I'm on 25th row now. I'm worried that it'll look too big on me but I guess I could make another one with extra small size next time.😅
BTW, Grace, I love your clear instructions and pattern.🥰
Edit: I'm making pockets now and I reached 40th row with just 19 pocket rows. The stitch markers for pockets are on 21st row. So, I think we only need to make 19 pocket rows to reach 40th row.
Muito lindo. amei.
I love this too! Making it!
Thank you Linda! :)
It s very nice
The suspense of part 2 is killing me. Lol. Great, simple instructions! This is a definite must do! Subscribed and impatiently waiting for part 2.
Part 2 will be out this weekend so hopefully its not too long of a wait :) Thanks for your support!
Love This! Waiting for part two! 😀
Wooooow thanks for sharing your skills 👏👏👏👏👏
Love your work. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much :)
Can you please tell me for XXL how many chain we should make
Thank you so much for this EXCELLENT tutorial!!!💜💜💜 I want to know if I can make this coatigan longer. Would it change the look?
Could this be done in Aran wool?
On row 22, are you crochet back loop or front loop
Hi how much yarn yards did you use? thank you
I love it!!Can you give me some examples of the size of light weigh yarns that could be used? Thank you!!
Thanks Carol! I talk more about the yarn with suggestions for other yarns in the blog post :) - forthefrills.com/easy-crochet-cardigan-pattern-stonewash-pocket-coatigan-part-1
Muy lindo ,te agradecería mucho si lo tradujeras.☺
Are these back loop only hdc in order to get the lovely striped look? Or do we use both top loops on the top of the prior rows? If both loops, how do we get the pretty ribbed look?
Buennos dias , me encantaria que los explicaran en español gracias.
Thank you so much, your instructions are excellent, very clear and to the point. I will make this. Is there a different yarn that would work well for this pattern? I am also interested in a pattern for a cardigan that has rounded front corners, with a wide boarder all around the front and neck edge.
Hi Sigrid, I talk about different yarns and what type of yarn to look for if you want the same look in the blog post :) - forthefrills.com/easy-crochet-cardigan-pattern-stonewash-pocket-coatigan-part-1
When you say do 94 normal stitches, does that mean in front and back loop together
Yes
Which size you crochet please the cardigan
Are we still doing back loop for 40 rows
How many skeins of yarn did you use for the video and what size is it?
Hi from the UK!🥰
I’ve just seen this and it’s absolutely my style - I love it! Thank you so much! Love your other garments too. I’ve subscribed and wish you well.💐😊
Hi Geraldine, so glad you found my channel and you like the coatigan :) thank you for your support!

Hi dear. Ur work is sooo gud and I just want to know something how to many quantity of yarn need for this cardigan?
Hi Farha, the yarn amounts are in the blog post :) forthefrills.com/easy-crochet-cardigan-pattern-stonewash-pocket-coatigan-part-1
Thanks a lot😍
Are you using a different ball of yarn for the pocket? I got lost here 🙁
Hi Angie, yes I attached a different ball of yarn for the pocket. Since we're going to continue along the body I just left that ball of yarn alone :)
@@forthefrills I look forward to part 2. I love your patterns and your clear instructions, thank you for sharing!!
That yarn is gorgeous, but I wouldn't use it for a garment like this since it is hand wash only.
Be lovely if you could crochet jumper dress for the winter. You are tilted young woman. I crochet the cardigan. My friend loved it, she would like buttons and collar, how do I do that
Hello mam. In 3rd line are you only taking the back loop or both which makes me confused please reply me
I"m always crocheting a normal HDC unless otherwise noted!
@forthefrills i am a new crocheter ,never have done a sweater. I understand and know the stitches on this pattern. I really want to try one but so nervous. Want to get enough yarn, it will be for a large size . How many yards would I need pls?
Did you use 9 balls for the xsmall size at 150m on each ball?
Thank you
Hello, all of the yarn information is in the blog post :) forthefrills.com/easy-crochet-cardigan-pattern-stonewash-pocket-coatigan-part-1 You can multiply the number of skeins by the yardage of the yarn, if you'd like to use a different yarn :)
Can I use any kind of worsted weight yarn
Hi Dorothy, since this coat/cardigan is so long the type of yarn you use will really change the drape. I go more into detail about what type of yarn I suggest and what this design might look like in the blog post :) - forthefrills.com/easy-crochet-cardigan-pattern-stonewash-pocket-coatigan-part-1
Hey...what size is the sample??? I am really confused as to which size I should crochet for myself?
Hi Maria, I'm wearing a small and all the extra details (measurements + yarn amounts etc.) are in the free written pattern - linked in the description!
Grace
Mam i want sleeveless jacket ,if that tutorial we do not join sleeves ,than my sleevless jacket made good or not .please ans
Hi, I'm not sure a sleeveless would work with this pattern because the armholes are a square gap not a slit so I don't think it would sit properly sorry!
Thanku mam please give sleeveless jacket tutorial

At 15.02" what is the length of the crochet in cm? Thank you
Hi Maya, the written pattern (link the description) has both cm and inches in the measurements :)
Cuantos puntos montan y si podrían dar las instrucciones en español
Added your pattern to my crochet list. I tried to find you on facebook, but with no luck. The link said "broken". 😥
Thanks for telling me, I'm trying to fix it now :)
From where we can buy the crochet hook
Hi, the blog post (in the description bar) has links to where I purchase all the materials :)
How many grams of wool required for this project?
Hi Areesha, all extra info (yardage, gauge etc.) is in the blog post :) forthefrills.com/easy-crochet-cardigan-pattern-stonewash-pocket-coatigan-part-1
Me gustaria q lo dieran tambien en español
how many yarn do we need
Hi, all the yarn amounts are in the blog post - linked in the description! Grace :)
Is it just me but it looks like you're crocheting in the back loop only (BLO) but you don't say that nor does the written pattern say that. What am I missing? Are you doing half double crochet in BLO in rows 2 through 20?
Hi Cindy,
I'm crocheting normal HDCs, the yarn is just very fuzzy and doesn't have great stitch definition. If I was only crocheting Back loop HDCs the entire coat would be ribbed :)
Grace
Salut du Maroc
C est bien dommage il n y pas la traduction
You didn’t finish. What happened? Also where did you get the yarn? What is an alternative to that one? 4 ply is too stiff , is that one sold on line? At the stores?
Hi, Part 2 will be released next week :) This yarn is called a 'blown' yarn and I got it from woolwarehouse.co.uk. The blog post has all the information, links and suggestions for alternative yarns :) - forthefrills.com/easy-crochet-cardigan-pattern-stonewash-pocket-coatigan-part-1
Bonito prenda pero por favor el tutorial q sea en español
