💜 PART 2 IS UP! 💜 I mentioned all the movies I didn't include in this one. So if you're looking for Marnie, Arrietty, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, Princess Kaguya, Ocean Waves, Poppy Hill, etc... you can find them in the 2nd part of this video here: ruclips.net/video/deZAhqUOils/видео.html Hope you like it!
The line where Sophie says “I’ve never been beautiful once in my life” always made me cry as a kid, because I resonated and still resonate with her as a character; anyway Howls Moving Castle and Princess Monoke are my favorites, and you were hella accurate so thanks 😅
This always breaks my heart because how many beautiful people are out there that go unnoticed because they're not (by society standards) "beautiful" on the outside. I think inner beauty trumps outer beauty all the time. But I know most people don't think like me and it saddens me.
Beauty is a trend! You might not feel beautiful now because of the current standard but you might have been beautiful by an old or a coming standard. Beauty is also always in the eye of the beholder and has a lot to do with self esteem, which has nothing to do with how you look, necessarily. Remember that! I bet you're beautiful.
I feel like whisper of the heart is a movie that can bring you so much comfort cause it gives you an everyday life kinda a vibe plus little bit fantasy ,just like you're daydreaming! It is simple ,but equally holds a deep meaning ! Who are we kidding , every ghibli movie has a meaning , tons actually!
It’s hard to say it would be my favorite Ghibli film but the message resonates so hard as someone who wishes to be more creative but often feels too perfectionistic and afraid of failure to start and make significant strides. It helps to hear that it’s important to be easy on yourself and allow yourself to pursue your passions as deeply as you would like to. Take chances and don’t let your failures and mistakes define you.
Whenever I tell people Grave of the Fireflies is one of my favorite Ghibli movies people assume I have no heart, lol but really it's because that movie makes me feel such feels and I am an absolute history geek, who loves to learn about other cultures and shared history
I've seen it so many times that I no longer cry but I do still feel terrible for the main characters. In other words, I still have a heart and you do as well
Alexandra Zelek Nausicaa is not exactly a ghibli studio film, as it predates the creation of the studio (a year before). However, it's a hayao miyazaki film so it would be more like an honorable mention. Its indeed one of my favorites movies :)
I think the reason is Nausicaä of the valley of the wind is *NOT* a Ghibli film it was made by Miyazaki but it was made 1 year before Studio Ghibli was made
I'm somewhere between Kiki and Totoro. I want to live in the countryside and befriend fluffy creatures but instead I'm stuck in a city with my magic depleted and with my cats making demands.
I love Whisper of the Heart and Kiki's Delivery Service. Both have such comforting messages for creators who are down on themselves, and really explore how to get through failure and rise again better than before. I can't begin to describe how comforting it is to have movies that dive deep into the message that it's okay to fail, because it means you're growing and learning.
Yay! I'd love if you could make a part 2 with Arrietty, Marinie, Porco Rosso, the wind Rises, Earthsea, up on poppy hill, the cat returns and castle in the sky. 💛
Oh yes, me too! My mood decides at that moment which film is my favorite. Ghibli has a movie for every mood! Sometimes you have to take it easy like in whispers of the heart or only yesterday or a little more fantasy like in spirited away or mononoke ... They are all beautiful!
My favorites are: Whisper of the Heart, Princess Mononoke, and Spirited Away. I love what you said about them all! There’s truth in all of those for me.
Whisper of the Heart really resonated with me when I watched it and I think your analysis of it is pretty spot on. I'm introverted, love to write for fun, and the crushes that I had on guys in the past I normally kept it to myself.
Sad that you didn't do The Cat Returns, it's my absolute favorite movie and really makes me happy! I feel people who like The Cat Returns are trying to find themselves and seeing the main character they often put themselves in her shoes as she's very relatable. I feel like if that's your favorite Ghibli movie you clearly have a love for cats and magical adventures. You may also not always feel confident in yourself and this movie can serve as a great reminder that being yourself is an amazing thing to be! Second favorite is Howl's Moving Castle ❤️
whisper of the heart, ponyo, my neighbour totoro and kiki's delivery service are just some of my all-time favourite films and i don't know how you got all of them right !! also i'd love to see your take on from up on poppy hill since it's also one of my favourite ghibli films
if you do make another video, could you please include Only Yesterday? I didn't see it in the other ghibli films that you pictured and it's criminally underrated so I'd love to see what you say about it! It's also my favorite (along with Nausicaa and Castle in the Sky)!!
of course! only yesterday, from up on poppy hill, ocean waves, i'll see if i can include all of the remaining ghibli films i didn't mention in this one
Monika: If Kikis delivery service is your favourite, you’re probably a dreamer and procrastinator. Me: Literally procrastinating by watching this video while daydreaming of my studio ghibli life
I'd watched whisper of the heart once when I was a kid and didn't fully appreciate it but I'd always remembered it - I re-watched for the first time in forever about two years ago and since then, it has remained my all time favourite. I swear only Ghibli makes movies that are heart-felt, funny and honest yet dreamy all in one, and I'm in love! hahaha
It's so hard to choose favourites but I think mine would be howl's moving castle, spirited away or Porco Rosso Btw calling us all out on that wanting howl thing huh 😅😂
Princess mononoke and you were wayy too accurate ngl listening to first ones I thought it wouldn’t be but you hit the nail right on the head. I’m impressed
My favorite Studio Ghibli movie is “my neighborhood totoro” and you are soo right when you talk about this movie i was felling like you know who I am and like you read my mind or something 😂🍰 I love your video and i hope you make another part of This 💕🏩
your fav ghibli is spirited away/howls moving castle: you can enjoy a spontaneous adventure but youre afraid to throw yourself into one and are waiting for someone to take you by the hand and lead you into it
Kiki and Whisper of the Heart just HIT DIFFERENT! I love these movies so much! 🥺🥺 Howl’s moving castle and spirited away are genius obviously but the first two will simply always always have a special spot in my heart because they’re sooo nostalgic and hopeful and cozy to watch
As a Filipino whose country also suffered the extremities of Japan during World War 2. Grave of the Fireflies really shows that during the war, nobody wins. Not even the country who claims victory nor does the one who surrenders.
My favorite is My Neighbor Totoro, and your description is almost spot on. It's so accurate it's almost scary haha. Also you made me laugh out loud when you ended with a reference to Animal Crossing because that is also spot on, wow.
One of my favorite Ghibli Studio movie is "Whisper of the heart" ,I literally resonated with Shizuku and her story on a soul level. I felt as if that story was about me. 😊❤️. I also love the fact that it's so realistic and teaches us to learn to find magic in everyday.
Howl is my fav. of course im a simp, but i find him to be a super relatable character. A lot of ghibli characters are super conpasionate and see good in everyone and are overall good virtous people. Howl isnt that. He's a mess, kindof full of himself, and pretty depressed. He's not perfect and thats what i love about him. I also love the symbolism in his hair color. At the beginning of the movie when he has his blonde hair, he seems super confident, mysterious, and powerful, but thats basically a front that he's put on for himself. When his hair goes to its natural black color, he reveals his true self, and he doesn't know how to deal with it, because he had been hiding it not only from the public, but also from himself. I just love his development from start to finish. I could go on about it, but i think i have already done enough, so i will spare you. anyway, thank u for coming to my ted talk.
my opinion for howls moving castle enthusiasts they're mostly lonely and want to belong somewhere that is heartwarming and peaceful. they feel lost and want to be found.
You really described my ideal day talking about kiki's movie, I would love to live in a city like the one in the movie, has everything I want close to where I live, the landscapes, the aesthetics, the rush in the city and the calm in parts isolated... And yes, I daydream a looot about it
My favorite is probably princess mononoke but I definitely have a soft spot for howl’s moving castle and your analyse was so spot on! It combines my love for art or connexions and my need to believe in strong values !
I gotta say that I'm quite taken back by your perspective on Princess Mononoke. I saw it for the first time in elementary when my friend recorded it on vhs from cartoon network in the 90's. I was already a zelda fan before I saw it but that movie and those games were my life. I think you got that spot on and I'm happy to know that I grew up with all those principles you mentioned (except cosplaying San). You really made my day. Thank you and God bless (: ✌
Kiki's Delivery Service is my favorite. I love the story and her struggles with accepting who she is. She never feels normal, sometimes people don't accept who she is and her powers and she has to figure out where she fits in the normal world. I think a lot of artists go through similar struggles of feeling different but wanting to express themselves like this. I liked your description I just wish there was more analysis of Kiki like some of the other movies i.e.) Spirited Away/Howl's Moving Castle, etc. Love this video though! :)
For me it was right! My fav is “Princess Mononoke” and all you said was right... people do think that i’m a bad ass, but on the inside i’m not, is just my outer appearance... i love this video!
My pure favorite is probably Ponyo, but I have a very funny story about Spirited Away that bumps it up to the top for me. Basically, I loved loved loved the movie Spirit as a kid (the one about the horse). When I was maybe 4 or 5, my aunt unknowingly took me to see Spirited Away, thinking it was a sequel to Spirit... Let's just say I was definitely too young for it. I was so scared that apparently I climbed into my aunt's lap and covered my eyes. I vaguely remember being scared of the bridge scene where Chihiro has to hold her breath and also her parents getting turned into pigs.
I love Porco Rosso! Everything about it is amazing, The characters, amazing! The dialogue, amazing! The visuals, amazing! I know it wasn’t in the video, I just feel like it needs more attention than it gets
tbh whisper of the heart really resonates with me as a girl who likes to write stories and play the violin, but more so because of the whole "not knowing what i want to do" concept- cuz i feel all of us have/will go through it at least a couple of times
Anyone else love every movie? However, princess mononoke hits the spot for me, the art, the meaning behind it, the gods and the demons. And of course, Ashitaka❤️❤️❤️
This was a bit too accurate for me... XD I havent watched all studio Ghibli Movies yet, but all the ones from this video I have already watched . And my favorite are, my neighbor Totoro, Kiki's delivery service, Howl's moving castle and whisper of the heart and you were so accurate about how I feel for just knowing what my favorite movies are.
I relate A LOT to Howl's Moving Castle, Whisper Of The Heart and Kiki, they're all on my Top 5 Ghibli movies!!! I'm looking forward to hear what you have to say about Nausicaa and Castle In The Sky since I love these two movies a lot too ❤️
Wow same I love these 3 films a loot but howls moving castle is just my fav since Im little because of the beautiful romance and the magic (and howl too) ahah ❤🍃👒
You're pretty spot on with My Neighbor Totoro (other than Animal Crossing)! That was my first Ghibli film and glad I resonate with your perspective on liking that movie as well.
When I watched Grave of the Fireflies, I literally felt like a part of me died. That was a hard movie to watch. I honestly haven’t watched it again since, but I would like to watch it again.
I think I love Howls moving castle so much because of Sophie. She gets hit with a curse and has a family that she doesn't want to burden with it, but instead of wallowing in self pity she carries on and tries to make the best of it. And while she really has it hard herself she is kind to others and takes care of them in a somewhat stern manner that I've always really liked. Something about the slightly tough love she has for the other inhabitants of the castle just makes me want to be like her. I'd think I don't care for the romance as much but more of the found family and the way Sophie becomes more relaxed as the movie goes on
I'd really hope for you to do a pt 2 including "up on poppy hill". I love this film because of the historical aspect and overall 60s aesthetics. (I also related a lot to the grave of the fireflies part even though I didn't watch it yet)
whisper of the heart, the wind rises and princess mononoke are my personal favourites! the whisper of the heart description was really accurate to me! great vid nice work :)
Wow! You really nailed it with whisper of the heart. I only watched it for the first time last year but it instantly struck a chord with me so this was cool to watch
Ok Spirited away - you probably have watched this more then 1 time My neighbour totoro - nostalgic Princess mononoke - you mite have a crush the price Howl mowing castle - you definitely have a crush on Howl Kiki delivery service- you are me Other - I haven't watched it so I can't say
Personal favorites are nassuicaa, porco rosso, laputa, and kikis delivery service 😕 it’s so hard to pick all these movies where like a huge part of my childhood lol, PLEASE make a part 2
It's reealy hard to choose... but when I realy have to it would be Totoro, because this movie makes me always be happy and gives me comfort. And what you say about the "Totoro people" is 100% true. I love nature, my house looks like a little jungle, I love little simple things, and my Dream is living in the country in a little cottage! I always be melancholic and miss the simple days at child! 😭 I wish we adults can be a little more like children, honest, open mindet, playfull and simple without thinking so negativ!
💜 PART 2 IS UP! 💜 I mentioned all the movies I didn't include in this one. So if you're looking for Marnie, Arrietty, Nausicaa, Castle in the Sky, Princess Kaguya, Ocean Waves, Poppy Hill, etc... you can find them in the 2nd part of this video here: ruclips.net/video/deZAhqUOils/видео.html

It's a great movie, but too painfull
I guess my personality type is underrated and nonexistent because no one talks about Nausicaa. Nausicaa is the best protagonist ever created.
Yesss. I recently got the Nausicaä manga and it's pretty good. Nausicaä is my second fav ghibli movie, behind The Tales of Princess Kaguya
Alexandra Zelek Nausicaa is not exactly a ghibli studio film, as it predates the creation of the studio (a year before). However, it's a hayao miyazaki film so it would be more like an honorable mention. Its indeed one of my favorites movies :)

I liked your description I just wish there was more analysis of Kiki like some of the other movies i.e.) Spirited Away/Howl's Moving Castle, etc. Love this video though! :)
Kiki's delivery service and Ponyo are my top 1 and 2 respectively.
You called me out so intensly 😭😭
My favourite is Kiki and your assumptions were on point about passions when young that were left behind but now are been revived! For me it's art.
the fact that her description called me out on multipule levels (°ー°〃) ...btw my fav is whisper of the heart
please include castle in the sky in the next one! good job on the vid:) loved the cute segment into the sponsorship
will do for sure! And thank youu🥺
No doubt at all it's Spirted Away. Was first one I saw, have since seen most ghibli ones but still think Spirited away is the best.
ahh i love studio ghibli films especially kikis delivery service :)
- amelie rose
I love Porco Rosso! Everything about it is amazing, The characters, amazing! The dialogue, amazing! The visuals, amazing! I know it wasn’t in the video, I just feel like it needs more attention than it gets
I would totally love to see a second part to this! Great video 💗
Yayy i’ll make one for sure!
tbh whisper of the heart really resonates with me as a girl who likes to write stories and play the violin, but more so because of the whole "not knowing what i want to do" concept- cuz i feel all of us have/will go through it at least a couple of times
Princess Mononoke and Kiki's Delivery Service are my faves XD
Anyone else love every movie? However, princess mononoke hits the spot for me, the art, the meaning behind it, the gods and the demons. And of course, Ashitaka❤️❤️❤️
You really called me out on the legend of Zelda part with princess mononoke
This was a bit too accurate for me... XD I havent watched all studio Ghibli Movies yet, but all the ones from this video I have already watched . And my favorite are, my neighbor Totoro, Kiki's delivery service, Howl's moving castle and whisper of the heart and you were so accurate about how I feel for just knowing what my favorite movies are.
Spirited Away is so accurate. It was also one of my first ghibli movies too. I was in live with Haku since I was 5.
I relate A LOT to Howl's Moving Castle, Whisper Of The Heart and Kiki, they're all on my Top 5 Ghibli movies!!! I'm looking forward to hear what you have to say about Nausicaa and Castle In The Sky since I love these two movies a lot too ❤️
Wow same I love these 3 films a loot but howls moving castle is just my fav since Im little because of the beautiful romance and the magic (and howl too) ahah ❤🍃👒
yes please do a part 2, bacuse i reaally loved this video 🤍 btw my favourite ghibli movie is the tale of princess kaguya.
My favorites are: when marnie was there, howls moving castle and up from a poppy hill
Omg- one of my favorite Studio Ghibli movies (I have three that I can’t decide between) is whisper of the heart and that’s exactly me!
My favorite is either Castle in the sky- or The Wind Rises
I think I love Howls moving castle so much because of Sophie. She gets hit with a curse and has a family that she doesn't want to burden with it, but instead of wallowing in self pity she carries on and tries to make the best of it. And while she really has it hard herself she is kind to others and takes care of them in a somewhat stern manner that I've always really liked. Something about the slightly tough love she has for the other inhabitants of the castle just makes me want to be like her. I'd think I don't care for the romance as much but more of the found family and the way Sophie becomes more relaxed as the movie goes on
my favorite is the secret world of arriety! please make a part 2 :)
Spirited Away is also my first movie and ever since my #1 favorite🥰
HOW
How do all of these describe me?
Help I need answers
Why do they all describe me
i feel you 😂
Howls Moving Castle and Whisper of the Heart are my favourites
Part 2 please. My favorite movies are Howl's moving castle and when Marnie was there. And yes, who doesn't like Howl. 😍
Totally correct. Whisper of the heart right here!!!!
Also laputa, I’d love to see what you have to say about that one!!
I'd really hope for you to do a pt 2 including "up on poppy hill". I love this film because of the historical aspect and overall 60s aesthetics. (I also related a lot to the grave of the fireflies part even though I didn't watch it yet)
It’s my fav ghibli movie too
whisper of the heart, the wind rises and princess mononoke are my personal favourites! the whisper of the heart description was really accurate to me! great vid nice work :)
My favorite is Howl's Moving Castle. (With Kiki's Delivery Service as a close second favorite. It was the first one I saw.)
I think we're the same person
Wow! You really nailed it with whisper of the heart. I only watched it for the first time last year but it instantly struck a chord with me so this was cool to watch

😭 I wish we adults can be a little more like children, honest, open mindet, playfull and simple without thinking so negativ!
me too same
i have that totoro plushie
