a great one i literally watched at 2am last night was "in this corner of the world " and it left me absolutely demolished and in tears, but i really loved it! the animation style was so unique and comforting, i thought it was amazing!
Have you watched Okko’s Inn? It’s a really sweet movie about a girl who goes to live at her grandmother’s inn and finds out she can see ghosts (but not in a scary way), who help her heal from her parents’ death. It’s very cute and I def recommend! :D
This is already my 4th comment haha 🙈 Your Name is one of my favorite anime movies ever, like right up there with Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, and other Studio Ghibli movies (I love so many), and one of my favorite romance movies ever! I adore the concept of time and space mixed with love and memory, and how it affects destiny and free will. The storytelling is so ingenious with certain sound effects and transitions. Taki and Mitsuha's relationship is so engaging and imI just love how the concept of remembering plays so much into their love. And the soundtrack and all makes it all much more emotional (I was a MESS the 1st time I saw it) 🥺 It's simply amazing! It's a 10/10 movie for me ❤️
Please watch the anime movie " i want to eat your pancreas". Yeah, the title is a bit weird, but you will understand the meaning! ;-; Edit: its not a horror movie xD
perfect blue was so mind-blowing, i was left agape at the end of it! but it does have plenty trigger warnings, people that don't cater towards thrillers should stay away from this one.... millennium actress was very interesting to watch too! and YOUR NAME AAAAAA easily one of my favorites too!!!! it's so beautiful T-T i'll add all the others i haven't watched to my list!!! tysm!!! also, you mentioned you like time travelling + "makes you cry kind of movie" (in terms of anime), i'd recommend you watch "tomorrow i will date with yesterday's you", although it isn't anime, it's still Japanese! i won't spoil it to you but it's a very calm and sorrowful film, left me a bit empty-hearted too but still fulfilled my hopeless romantic heart

@@modecirtautaite2297 from what i remember, some trigger warnings include: blood, rape, themes related to stalking and murder; the film is pretty serious from what you usually see in animations, it's a psychological thriller
The boy and the beast is my ABSOLUTE favorite Japanese animated movie and I'm so glad more people are finding out about it through you, so thank you!!!!
"The Castle of Cagliostro" is one of my favorite animated films, it's more on the action side, but it is still fun to watch. The colors and landscapes are beautiful witch makes sense as it is directed by Miyazaki!!!! I believe it's on Netflix
Cagliostro is the first movie in my Ghibli box set lol. I'm not sure how it all works, but it definitely says "Studio Ghibli" all over the thing. I'm not complaining either it's a fantastic Miyazaki film. Ghibli definitely didn't exist when that movie was made though lol.
I finally watched Your Name after hearing you talk about it a few times. It was soooo good!!! Beautiful animation, great characters, and some really unique storytelling. Be sure to have a box of tissues handy for this on for sure! 🤣😭😭😭
My favorite Kon movie is Tokyo Godfathers! Also some of my favorite non-Ghibli anime movies include Metropolis, The Night is Short Walk on Girl, Summer Wars, and Macross: Do You Remember Love?
since i haven't see anyone mentioning this, I'd recommend Anohana (the flower we saw that day) there's also the series, but i think the movie is also pretty great!
Some cool Anime movies that I have watched is: Ride your wave Lu over the wall Anthem of the heart In this corner of the world Summer wars Weathering with you I want to eat your pancreas
I still remember subbing you as your 3000th subscriber a couple years back. Now you are almost at 100k subs. I'm really happy for you 😊 Your Name is one of my favourite movies♥️
I watched all of the Studio Ghibli movies so thought I'd see what other anime movies were like. I saw that Your Name was very popular, so thought I would give it a go. And wow, Your Name completely shocked me, I absolutely loved it!!! It actually has everything; beautiful animation, emotional soundtrack, humour and sadness, the main characters are soooo likeable, I could go on and on. Since then, I've seen a few more anime's, and Your Name is still 100% my favourite!
Some really great anime movies ive watched : - Patema Inverted (sci fi, great story and ending even tho u need to think a lil bit to understand) - I want to eat your pancreas (drama, romance, very sad, cried 11/10) - Hotarubi No Mori E/ Into the forest of the fireflies (romance, drama, very sad, cried 11/10) - Her blue sky (drama, very good, 10/10 has a crush on the main lead) - Ride your wave (Super sad, cried, i dont recommend watching the trailer before the movie.) - Mirai no Mirai (wholesome) - will come back if i have more.
Wolf children is literally my favourite movie OF ALL TIME, like it was my first ever anime movie and it got me so emotional and nostalgic, also now I want to visit the countryside lol, and also hanas is literally the most amazing mum ever, I hope I can be like her some day.
two movies that have stuck to me are in this corner of the world and whisper of the heart. i relate to shizuku so much, i watched it when i was fourteen and i had trouble deciding what i was gonna do in the future. i don't have any big goals so i felt aimless but watching whisper of the heart made me feel a lot better. we can't miss the cute romance too hehe, keiji and howl are my two ghibli crushes ♡♡
i highly recommend “in this corner of the world” or the extended version “in this corner (and other corners) of the world. just finish watching it. it’s beautiful. i definitely did not get bored watching this 2 hour plus movie.
You definitely need to watch Liz and the Blue Bird. Its one of my favorite films and its amazing. It was made by the same studio that made A Silent Voice and the same director. The story feels so small and yet so huge. Most of the story is told through body language and music. Its very slow but it helps the story and characters. When I originally watching I didn't think much of it, but it has stayed in my head for so long and its just an amazing film
I watched Your Name on your recommendation, and the best word I can use to describe it is intimate. It just portrays so many different levels of intimacy...I never wanted it to be over! I want a sequel, but just where they live happily ever after and never forget one another again. Thank you for your thoughtfulness & sharing your taste in movies! 🙏🏻
I have just watched 3 anime movies (that are not studio ghibli) - your name, weathering with you and 5 centimeters per second - and i finished this video with 5 more movies on my list! thank you so much for the recommendations!!! also, in case you want to know, my favorite is (for now?) weathering with you
thank you!! you have explained it all very well!! here are others i have watched that are not ghibli (but ofc go watch every ghibli movie if you havent): - Ghost in The Shell (a classic, sci-fi, very great animation and character design) - Summer Wars (this is by Mamoru Hosoda!! fun concept, abt online gaming but next level!) - Paprika (Satoshi Kon's, sci-fi, concept: entering dreams) - Akira (a classic, sci-fi and cyberpunk, really cool animation!!) ive watch all of the movies in the video except wolf children and millenium actress, but i heard they are great too! i really want to watch millennium actress since its Satoshi Kon's and i really love his movies, i really love paprika and perfect blue. when i knew he had passed away i was really sad.. but the works and legacy he has left behind will never die. rest in peace Satoshi Kon.
Just finished watching your name for the first time today and oh god this has to be one of the most beautiful movies that I have seen in my life, and the ending was just wow. I'm honestly speechless. If anyone still hasn't watched it, please do. It was such a magical movie.

Why am I not seeing anyone comment about Akira? Not only is it one of the greatest animated movies I've ever seen, but also one of the best movies I've seen in general. The animation and music is absolutely mesmerizing and unique, and the story is awesome as well. The movie is packed with action but also discusses deeper subjects such as the human mind, religion and the meaning of life. The film was released in 1988 but was waaay a head of its time. Such an underrated movie that has aged beautifully! Anyone who's interested in anime should definitely check Akira out because this movie had a huge impact on the anime industry and what it has become today.

This video came at the PERFECT time for me because I made it a goal to watch every studio Ghibli film over quarantine and now I’m getting to the end of the list and I can’t wait to watch these afterwards!! Thank you for this ;w;
I haven’t seen many other people talking about this one, but weathering with you is a amazing movie. It’s directed by Makoto Shinkai, and it’s fairly recent (I believe it came out earlier this year) and as usual the animation is stunning. I don’t remember the story line very well, but it’s about a runaway boy who meets a girl who it appears can control the weather. Definitely recommend it! :)
I literally watched most of these films and they are amazing!!! And let me tell you, whether you watched them once or twice, if you understand most of the plots of the stories or not, whether you first cried or had the feels to these movies. You can’t deny that you just need to watch them only once or twice cause these films are the most common to watch, enjoy, and to bond over them. Plus you may have more memories and moments with someone or by yourself, whether it be the animation or the characters or the music for the second time or infinite time, you’re still gonna love it and never regret watching these amazing films. 🥰 Also thank you for making this video I been waiting for so long even though it’s has been almost two weeks but it felt like forever in a good that you finally made this video and that you enjoyed some of ours favorites. Mine being A Silent Voice. Maquia, Wolf Children, etc. And I love and adore Makoto Shinkai’s work, he’s literally my favorite anime Directors as well as Hayao Miyazaki and both are inspiration for me to becoming an artist and to achieve my goals. And Yes “Your Name” will be one of his best Works and best anime film ever as well as “Spirited Away” and it’s Beautiful. And for those people who haven’t watched these or starting to watch anime, I Highly Recommend theses as well!!! Also I’m loving your channel and your amazing person by the way! 😁😍🥰

I could write an essay about anime movies that I like but i wont in here, Im glad u've featured Satoshi Kon because he is one of my all time favorite directors and his movies are so unique, adding to ur beautiful list "The garden of words" and 'Weathering with you" by the same director of 'Your name', "Akira" which in my opinion deserves an Oscar, 'Colorful" is a really good movie with a strong message and a great soundtrack, "Hotarubi no mori e" or more known as "top 10 plot twists in anime' , for people who like shoujo anime ' Anthem of the heart" and "I want to eat your pancreas" are definitely for u, "In this corner of the world" is a really chill heartwarming movie , and I will end this list with the masterpiece 'Metropolis". Thank u for reading
@@CristobalMoonlight2001 just curious, do you like Big Fish & Begonia mainly cause of the concept (&lore) + characters or because of the story? Cause to me the storyline wasn’t good, it didn’t flow well, pacing was too fast, didn’t really enjoy it. But visuals were awesome, concept was nice, i just wish Chun interacted with Kun more (before all the main stuff happened). Millennium Actress - I felt was so sad seeing her life move through her career but it was fascinating Wolf Children - Made me cry I still wonder how she copes alone The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - I had so many questions by the end and wondered how much their relationship changed as a result. The Live action version is also interesting The Boy and the Beast - moving and sweet at the same time Silent Voice - Incredibly powerful and a very moving film, i was fascinated by the Japanese sign language too Your Name - Another one that made me cry and had so many interesting events, ancient and present that had so much meaning Have you seen: Brave Story Children Who Chase Lost Voices In This Corner of the World Patema Inverted Legend of the Millennium Dragon Summer Wars The Magic Tree House

Family, Sci-Fi Hoshi No Koe (Voice From A Distant Star) - teenagers separated, love and distance, Mecha, Sci-Fi Paprika - If you liked Inception, this is better. Ghost In The Shell - The reason why The Matrix even exists. Read Richard Dawkins' A River Out Of Eden to really blow your mind. Blood - the original film, not series. Aged well for it's time, multicultural Vampire hunter. Feels like living in Okinawa. Perfect for Halloween !

Hell yeah ! I feel like I've already watched everything :(,
Can you recommend me some not too famous but absolutely fabulous movies ? I like sad ones the most 😉
Another great Director is Masaaki Yuasa!
His movies like:
-The Night is Short, Walk on Girl
-Lu Over The Wall
-Ride Your Wave
-Genius Party and etc..
His art style is unique and distinct which is easily recognizable and i definitely reccomend these
a great one i literally watched at 2am last night was "in this corner of the world " and it left me absolutely demolished and in tears, but i really loved it! the animation style was so unique and comforting, i thought it was amazing!
YES THAT WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL MOVIE
one of my favourites
where do you watch that?
@@thundermoon5838 it's available on Netflix I think
@@thundermoon5838 it's on netflix! at least it is in the UK, but i think it is in the US as well :)
I would like to add The Wind Rises to the list, a seriously underrated masterpiece.
It wasn't included cause The wind rises is a ghibli movie, though I admit its severely underrated and more people need to watch it
It's ghibli.
WAIT! What do you mean not every single anime movie is Studio Ghibli????
Unacceptable.
lol i know! that's all i ever talk about but i thought i'd give some love to other anime films too!
@@cinemoni Great video as usual!
I thought the same thing at first! Lol
Have you watched Okko’s Inn? It’s a really sweet movie about a girl who goes to live at her grandmother’s inn and finds out she can see ghosts (but not in a scary way), who help her heal from her parents’ death. It’s very cute and I def recommend! :D
Love the Totoro in the background! And my favorite non Ghibli movies are Your Name and The Boy And The Beast, Fireworks is cool too!
haven't seen fireworks yet! i need to
This is already my 4th comment haha 🙈 Your Name is one of my favorite anime movies ever, like right up there with Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, and other Studio Ghibli movies (I love so many), and one of my favorite romance movies ever! I adore the concept of time and space mixed with love and memory, and how it affects destiny and free will. The storytelling is so ingenious with certain sound effects and transitions. Taki and Mitsuha's relationship is so engaging and imI just love how the concept of remembering plays so much into their love. And the soundtrack and all makes it all much more emotional (I was a MESS the 1st time I saw it) 🥺
It's simply amazing! It's a 10/10 movie for me ❤️
Can't wait to watch these movies :)) also i just really like the way you explain movies, it makes me interested in all of them
thank you so much!! ❤️
Hi, just finished Maquia, ma’am you did not tell me I would be crying like this.
the girl who leapt through time has been on my watchlist for the longest time, thanks for reminding me! now i really have to watch it 🤍
satoshi kon’s tokyo godfathers is so underrated
That’s a masterpiece.
Pach Pacheco one of the few i would give 10/10
Great Movie, it doesn't feel like anime at all
i love this movie and its like a little tradition for to watch it in winter ^^
Please watch the anime movie " i want to eat your pancreas". Yeah, the title is a bit weird, but you will understand the meaning! ;-;
Edit: its not a horror movie xD
I couldnt stand the girl character in this one tbh
This was okay but i dont wanna spoil the only thing that I really didnt like in the movie
That anime utterly had me break down for a very long time. Whenever she got stabbed on tv- that sent me-
This movie is lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wolf Children is so underrated, thank you for including it in the thumbnail!
Be my friend?
perfect blue was so mind-blowing, i was left agape at the end of it! but it does have plenty trigger warnings, people that don't cater towards thrillers should stay away from this one.... millennium actress was very interesting to watch too! and YOUR NAME AAAAAA easily one of my favorites too!!!! it's so beautiful T-T i'll add all the others i haven't watched to my list!!! tysm!!!
also, you mentioned you like time travelling + "makes you cry kind of movie" (in terms of anime), i'd recommend you watch "tomorrow i will date with yesterday's you", although it isn't anime, it's still Japanese! i won't spoil it to you but it's a very calm and sorrowful film, left me a bit empty-hearted too but still fulfilled my hopeless romantic heart
ohhh i will watch it, thanks for the recommendation! and yes i love love love movies like that ❤️ there's a series called orange that's also in that vibe and it made me cry so much
@@cinemoni i've actually read a couple of pages from the "orange" manga!! i have to pick it up again and watch the film one of these days, thank you for the reminder!!! ❤️
I am thinking about watching this movie and I wanted to ask what triggers I should be aware of? If you don’t mind sharing:)
@@modecirtautaite2297 from what i remember, some trigger warnings include: blood, rape, themes related to stalking and murder; the film is pretty serious from what you usually see in animations, it's a psychological thriller
nes okay, thank you for the info!
maquia is literally one of the best anime movie ive ever watched so far
I literally watched Your Name today!!! It was beautiful and the animation was stunning. I loved it ❤️
Maquia made me cry so much! A real masterpiece. Its really underrated.
I love Your Name so much, it is one of my favorite movies for sure. I really need to watch all your other recommendations!
The boy and the beast is my ABSOLUTE favorite Japanese animated movie and I'm so glad more people are finding out about it through you, so thank you!!!!
Sameee
"The Castle of Cagliostro" is one of my favorite animated films, it's more on the action side, but it is still fun to watch. The colors and landscapes are beautiful witch makes sense as it is directed by Miyazaki!!!! I believe it's on Netflix
Cagliostro is the first movie in my Ghibli box set lol. I'm not sure how it all works, but it definitely says "Studio Ghibli" all over the thing. I'm not complaining either it's a fantastic Miyazaki film. Ghibli definitely didn't exist when that movie was made though lol.
Things needed to watch an anime movie:
𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀
𝗖𝗼𝗸𝗲
𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝘁
𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗳𝘆 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀
𝗡𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲
Hell no, literally nothing on that list is needed in my opinion (except maybe comfortable clothes) XD
Thanks for the tip! But not everyone had LED lights even tho I have them!
Don’t forget to get some tissues
Blanket
No lights
Headphones
In underwear
😁YES LET'S FOLLOW OUR GREAT😎 LADY HOKAGE ONE AND ONLY ( UMARU CHAN..)😊😋
I finally watched Your Name after hearing you talk about it a few times. It was soooo good!!! Beautiful animation, great characters, and some really unique storytelling. Be sure to have a box of tissues handy for this on for sure! 🤣😭😭😭
I literally got goosebumps while you were talking about your name and a silent voice because both of them are so amazing!
Warning. This film is a tear jerking movie all time
😭
Some cool Anime movies that I have watched is:
Ride your wave
Lu over the wall
Anthem of the heart
In this corner of the world
Summer wars
Weathering with you
I want to eat your pancreas
I want to eat your pancreas... Ahh this movie was so beautiful.. Still can't get over the ending.. Didn't expected that kind of ending
I know 'I want to eat your pancreas'. I also know that it's not gonna end well. So im skeptical on watching the movie.
Kriti Shrestha it does get really sad, but it’s definitely worth a watch!
I want to eat your pancreas is a bullshit.. those beastars lied to us, no pancreas was eaten 0/10
Ride your wave
Uughhhh I cried several times on that movie Idk whhhyyyy
I still remember subbing you as your 3000th subscriber a couple years back. Now you are almost at 100k subs. I'm really happy for you 😊
Your Name is one of my favourite movies♥️
Funfact:
Ame means rain in japanese and Yuki snow !
Some really great anime movies ive watched :
- Patema Inverted (sci fi, great story and ending even tho u need to think a lil bit to understand)
- I want to eat your pancreas (drama, romance, very sad, cried 11/10)
- Hotarubi No Mori E/ Into the forest of the fireflies (romance, drama, very sad, cried 11/10)
- Her blue sky (drama, very good, 10/10 has a crush on the main lead)
- Ride your wave (Super sad, cried, i dont recommend watching the trailer before the movie.)
- Mirai no Mirai (wholesome)
- will come back if i have more.
the ride your wave trailer just appeared on my RUclips wall 2 days ago, it spoiled to much of the movie 😔
Children who chase lost voices & Hotaru is so SAD!!!!!
@@owllofi8138 yeah :/ movie was great nonetheless
@@zatannavolkoff ive never watched children who chase lost voice! Might watch it thanks! And yea i still cry when i think of hotaru
Wolf children is literally my favourite movie OF ALL TIME, like it was my first ever anime movie and it got me so emotional and nostalgic, also now I want to visit the countryside lol, and also hanas is literally the most amazing mum ever, I hope I can be like her some day.
Thank you for all the awesome recommendations!! My favorite nob-ghibli anime movie is the Wolf Children 💕
two movies that have stuck to me are in this corner of the world and whisper of the heart.
i relate to shizuku so much, i watched it when i was fourteen and i had trouble deciding what i was gonna do in the future. i don't have any big goals so i felt aimless but watching whisper of the heart made me feel a lot better. we can't miss the cute romance too hehe, keiji and howl are my two ghibli crushes ♡♡
hearing Maquia instantly gave me goosebumps.... such an underrated filmj
i highly recommend “in this corner of the world” or the extended version “in this corner (and other corners) of the world. just finish watching it. it’s beautiful. i definitely did not get bored watching this 2 hour plus movie.
I have just watched 3 anime movies (that are not studio ghibli) - your name, weathering with you and 5 centimeters per second - and i finished this video with 5 more movies on my list! thank you so much for the recommendations!!! also, in case you want to know, my favorite is (for now?) weathering with you
thank you!! you have explained it all very well!! here are others i have watched that are not ghibli (but ofc go watch every ghibli movie if you havent):
- Ghost in The Shell (a classic, sci-fi, very great animation and character design)
- Summer Wars (this is by Mamoru Hosoda!! fun concept, abt online gaming but next level!)
- Paprika (Satoshi Kon's, sci-fi, concept: entering dreams)
- Akira (a classic, sci-fi and cyberpunk, really cool animation!!)
ive watch all of the movies in the video except wolf children and millenium actress, but i heard they are great too! i really want to watch millennium actress since its Satoshi Kon's and i really love his movies, i really love paprika and perfect blue. when i knew he had passed away i was really sad.. but the works and legacy he has left behind will never die. rest in peace Satoshi Kon.
Just finished watching your name for the first time today and oh god this has to be one of the most beautiful movies that I have seen in my life, and the ending was just wow. I'm honestly speechless. If anyone still hasn't watched it, please do. It was such a magical movie.
One movie I really love and never see it being talked about is "Colorful" as it kinda deals with mental health and is just really interesting to watch.
i watched it recently and its really interesting
Is it good ?

@@goodboygonebald1964 thanks and it's actually cute that someone replied like after a whole year when i even forgot abt this questions existence :)

i'll try to add some that i haven't seen listed yet:
tokyo godfathers
the night is short walk on girl
the tatami galaxy*
ping pong
mind game
summer wars
liz and the blue bird (has a great soundtrack)
promare
penguin highway! (cute)
Colorful. I think this was the title of that particular movie that also one of my favorite. Worth to watch!
I don't know why I did't know about this channel, but... You get a new suscriber! Thank u for talk about japanese animated films. It is a huge part of my life and makes me, in a kind of way, the person that I am and I want to be. So , to share about this art and its messages is really important!
This video came at the PERFECT time for me because I made it a goal to watch every studio Ghibli film over quarantine and now I’m getting to the end of the list and I can’t wait to watch these afterwards!! Thank you for this ;w;
Where do you watch anime movies please? Are they on Netflix?
@@nellieken Not sure if these ones in particular are but I use animepahe.com :)
Maquia is so special to me. I was literally sobbing in the end. It was so heartbreaking yet so beautiful.
Glad to see Satoshi Kon on here
I watched your satoshi kon vid! Great work!
seconding the suggestion for a whisker away!! that movie is so beautiful... it makes me cry every time i watch it again, it gets to me so much
penguin highway is a weird one but it's really nice too
the most movies that efected me
is Howel's moving castle, Maquia and anthem of heart
"I Want To Eat Your Pancreas" is also one of the best anime movies ever made! ♥️
Yeah its awesome!
Yeah i cried!! 😭😭😭
I love Your Name. more than Spirited Away and I'm not afraid to admit that.
ohhh that's bold :o although i do love them almost equally lol but spirited away reminds me of my childhood
@@hope_in_luv When I first watched it I was like 6 so I couldn't even watch trough half of it because I got so scared, but now it's one of my favorite movies. I like the subtle creepiness it has.
Why would you be afraid to admit that? Your Name is one of my fav and Spirited Away is my fav but both are masterpieces
I watched 'Your name", and I was soo fascinated and pleased, I really got into anime and I started looking for animes that are not Studio Ghibli, and here I am, from just this video I just started to like you
You should see ‘in this corner of the world’ , it’s really beautiful, realistic and heartwarming
Wolf Children and Your Name were both so great and emotional! I’ll need to add the others to my list. This is a great video! Thanks.
"Tokio godfathers" it's actually a great movie too, it's super beautiful and heart warming but at the same time it is very real and sincere
I love Your Name
ahh i still need to watch big fish &begonia!!
@@cinemoni Please do it 🙏🏻
It's a wonderful movie and I think you're going to love Qiu
@@CristobalMoonlight2001 just curious, do you like Big Fish & Begonia mainly cause of the concept (&lore) + characters or because of the story? Cause to me the storyline wasn’t good, it didn’t flow well, pacing was too fast, didn’t really enjoy it.
But visuals were awesome, concept was nice, i just wish Chun interacted with Kun more (before all the main stuff happened). (And probably some other stuff i forgot since its been a while since i watched it) and well, tbh in this movie Chun is v hateable 😅. She’s v selfish for sacrificing her whole community just due to a boy she didn’t even properly meet.

Millennium Actress - I felt was so sad seeing her life move through her career but it was fascinating
Wolf Children - Made me cry I still wonder how she copes alone
The Girl Who Leapt Through Time - I had so many questions by the end and wondered how much their relationship changed as a result. The Live action version is also interesting
The Boy and the Beast - moving and sweet at the same time
Silent Voice - Incredibly powerful and a very moving film, i was fascinated by the Japanese sign language too
Your Name - Another one that made me cry and had so many interesting events, ancient and present that had so much meaning
Have you seen:
Brave Story
Children Who Chase Lost Voices
In This Corner of the World
Patema Inverted
Legend of the Millennium Dragon
Summer Wars
The Magic Tree House
I grew up with 5cm/sec and my heart still aches every time I hear the movie's name. In more than 10 years I've watched it only twice, and only dare to listen to the soundtrack...
When others complained to me that the ending of Your name does not satisfy them, I told them to go watch 5cm/sec and have a headache and heartbreak at the same time
Same here
I prefer anime movies more because we get fantastic stories in a short time and you are the first creator i have seen talking about anime movies in more than one video and you are the best
So, keep it up
I've seen somebody else mention it here:
Colorful. That movie had me crying 8+ times because it hit too close to home for me. If your currently struggling with your mental health I strongly recommend it.
That movie is highly underrated but must see, I love it.
you have great taste! Li Ziqi's RUclips channel has strong Ghibli vibes.
Maquia is really underrated, it made me cry a lot :(
I'm glad you mentioned "5mm per second". I wanted to suggest it to you but it looks like you have good taste already.
It's cm. Not mm. How dare I?

For the two bellows you need to watch the Tv show first ;-; but those movies are incredible
- Violet Evergarden : Eternity and the Auto memory Doll
- Violet Evergarden The movie
i'd recommend: Whisper of the Heart, I Want to eat your Pancreas, Weathering with You, Mirai no Mirai, Anthem of the Heart,
also Wolf Children and Maquia are two of my favourite movies... i sobbed while watching them.. i also cried at The Girl who Leapt Through Time and was a little confused when you said it was lighthearted haha..

The garden of words is another masterpiece the whole film is like reading a poem personally it's my favorite of Makoto Shinkai
Truth..especially the Tanka reply nearing the end 💕
YOUR NAME!!!!!!!! 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you for the suggestions BTW!
Why is no one talking about A Silent Voice?? It's one of the best anime movies imo
Not one of the best it's the best.
Your name , spirited away etc comes after a silent voice
Others beat me to it but
Summer Wars - online auctions affecting the real world, ghibli style heartwarming. Family, Sci-Fi
Hoshi No Koe (Voice From A Distant Star) - teenagers separated, love and distance, Mecha, Sci-Fi
Paprika - If you liked Inception, this is better.
