I think you misstransformed the legs. The waist shouldn't turn around but the hips, so there is less kibble to see. Still good video.
The lion butt will also peg in nicely if he hadn't mistransformed the hip.
To be fair, the toys for Beast Wars 2 and Neo were notorious for kibble. Felt like more than half of the toys were shell formers. I still have trouble transforming the horse one

An original Lio Convoy is pretty much my number 1 holy grail in transformers collecting, so I was ecstatic when this was announced (in the same wave as Tarn!). With the figure I’m hand, I’m really impressed, and have a have had a nonstop smile on my face since I opened the box.
The tail!!! Flip the tail in for robot mode!!! 😂 He’s a fantastic figure! I still have my original Lio Convoy and the transformation is a definite improvement.
They need to release Beast Wars Neo, Beast Wars 2 and 2000s Robots in Disguise on DVD 📀

Even if we don't get a Majin Zarak, we NEED a Flash Lio Convoy and Burning Convoy from these molds. THEY LOOK SO GOOD TOGETHER
Hasbro is milking every mould so I would almost guarantee they'll do this. Just to make their dollars go further.

It's nice to see a figure I'd this guy that isint a repaint of some other lion for once. Lio deserves that respect. Hopefully we can get more Japanese beasts after him....or at least Big Convoy to complete the beast cartoon trio.
I think this figure is overall pretty great. I just wish the lion's face wasn't so bland, and didn't have just dead, plain yellow eyes, especially when you compare it to the box-art, it just looks way more awesome, vicious, and badass. But at least you can still replicate its silly, but cool mane missile gimmick from the original toy!

What if Lio Prime was Cheetor as a prime?
We did get the original Magmatron back in the day with Beast Machines' subline of Dinobots. He was a Target exclusive as I remember though, but he was physically available in the states for a time. Don't remember why I didn't search him out more though... Missed opportunities...
Also, that Majin Zarak likely won't be a Haslab until after the Haslab that's done for the 40th anniversary of the franchise, but it might get done, considering that Victory Saber and Deathsaurus were highly successful Haslabs. They know we want the Japanese characters, it's just a matter of time at this point. (A new Big Convoy/Maximus Prime I would hope gets a Leader or Commander Class release to give us much of the toy's original gimmicks as possible, and gets a Selects release for the mold as Ultra Mammoth who was released in the Figure Subscription Service. I have the original FSS Ultra Mammoth, I love it, but the translucent plastic in that thing does worry me for its long term survival...)

Man, what I wouldn't give for a modern remake of Magmatron. Anything less than commander class just wouldn't do him justice, considering his beast mode is actually comprised of 3 separate prehistoric creatures. Each beast housed a weapon for him and could even combine to form a sort of "chimera mode".

Know its an old video but still. I love this figure. I had to grab Copy Convoy when it went on sale. Hes so satisfying how all the kibble assembles in to the lion. Copy Convoy is much looser which is a shame.
in the show in lion mode his bot bits did show on back of legs too so its very accurate
When you put him in beast mode, his back legs, you don't rotate his hips around. It doesn't show that in the directions. Just wanted to let you know

One of the easiest pass in Legacy.
Even compared to the pics Balt showed, this dude has double the kibble of what it should have!
The kibble compression is horrible and, boy oh boy, that lion head is straight up dead!
Of course 3Ps are gonna come out with upgrade kits for that, but a figure should be good WITHOUT the need for upgrade kits.
One last thing...
Yes! Please give us a Magmatron!
What? I have this figure and the kibble is (like what Balt said) a part of his design. If you handle this toy, the kibble barely interferes with his articulation.
Also, modern Beast Modes use realistic looking beast forms with neutral expressions, and that's what a real lion face actually looks like. It only looks weird because it lacks paint on the lion face.

"Barely interferes with articulation" is a weird way to say "horribly top heavy", but you do you.
That face looks more like Nina from FMA than any lion.

It being top-heavy has nothing to do with articulation. I would also suggest Googling "articulation".
@@slugmaligma9248 I've seen real-life lions, I've read books, I've watched documentaries and, guess what, that looks like the rotting carcass of a lion!
Being top heavy limits the poseability, making the articulation moot.
Imagine if they do Big Convoy or Ultra Mammoth...

Well, there was a Black Lio Convoy that was named Black Lio Convoy, and he showed up in the anime for an episode. Funny enough, his color scheme is a typical Nemesis Prime color scheme, though I can't remember if the yellow for the eyes was replaced with a different color or not and what that color was... But that was the first evil clone of a leader that had different colors, before the popular Scourge came out in RID 1.0. Basically the actual Transformers version of MOTC's Faker, but no mold changes. Yes, he was evil as he attempted to destroy the Maximals. I don't remember what his origins were, but I think Galvatron had something to do with it... At any rate, they could name him Nemesis Breaker, but I think they'll probably name that version Nemesis Leo Prime when they get around to it. I mean, they could call him Black Leo Prime for a bigger distinction, but I really doubt it.

Could you please start your figures in alt mode (beast mode) first then change to robot mode?
Been watching beast wars 2 since getting Leo Convoy and I have to say , he is one of the few characters I actually like from the show and I would never thought it was possible but the Japanese made a combiner group called the joinitors that are more racist than skids and mudflap from rotf but what do you expect from a show that was filler for the Japanese at until they got the other two season of beast wars .

My main problem besides the lion legs on the ugly king red ball joint strip but I can forgive it one thing I can over look but don’t like is the leg mushroom slide in connection thing is ugily on the outside of the leg and not inside like most figs also the back lion dose not peg in in robot mode

Lio had kibble, but not that much kibble. While the original fault lies with the original design of the character, does not excuse the current figure. This just seems lazy. Even in and I grimace at how phoned-in it seems.
