I don't get the Prowl hate, I love that figure. Is it because he looks bulkier? Because that just makes me think of his Samurai Prowl look from later in the series, but without having to worry about accessories falling off. Though I will admit Animated Optimus and Bumblebee look WAY more like their original depictions than him
i mean a similarity i've noticed from review to review is that it's mostly the alt mode that gets the negative feedback since the sides (where the legs are) aren't that nice to look at as well as the transformation w the handlebar parts on the sides are a tad difficult to transform. That's just my opinion though, I like the figure and all but I can give credit where it's due
His transformation is trash, his motorcycle mode is incomplete and hollow, his robot mode doesn't match the aesthetic of what it is suppose to represent. Your samurai idea makes no sense. The whole point of samurai Prowl is having transforming armor. That's like having Armada Optimus that just has a super mode and no normal robot mode
Tip for the green shoulder, it clicks into place flush with the body. Do that and the tiger chest goes together easily. Noticed there was a gap between the shoulder and body in the video, if you click the shoulder in correctly it wont be there.
From what I remember, the transformation looks very similar to the original figure. Oh, and yes, the a-symmetry was there on the original figure as well. All the Transmetal 2 figures were a-symmetrical.
I just bought a new, in-box one and still have another from when I was a kid... Probably my favorite Transformer.... Doesn't look anything like this one, in my opinion.
7:55 Can't blame you. You probably thought of Leo Convoy. 13:52 AYOOOOOOOO! Anyways, Tigerhawk definitely looks awesome in both Bot mode and Chimera/Fuzor mode especially with the wing cannons attachments!
I just wish it had the bird mask but otherwise, as someone who had the original, I love this thing Looks amazing with the rest of my Beast Wars collection
I am not very familiar with Tigerhawk since I didn't make it all the way to the end of Beast Wars but I got him at Target for 34 bucks so I grabbed him. I love this thing. Him and TM Megatron are a couple of my favorite beast figures as of now.
This figures transformations is such a glorious mess. My only real complaints of the figure are the lack of wrist swivel (did laser Prime not sold this issue, Hasbro?), and the leg joint having this massive jump from being straight to a rather wide angle. Makes it impossible to put him in a more relaxed standing position.
SS86 Ultra Magnus had a springloaded chest for his matrix chamber. As far as I know, that’s the most recent spring gimmick. Edit: Just remembered that Haslab Deathsaurus ALSO has a springloaded chest, making him the most recent.
as someone who has a Haslab Deathsaurus I confirm that the chest is not springloaded. there is a hole in the back of the robot mode you put your finger through to push out the bird out of the chest.
Why would you want Tigerhawk to be retooled into Silverbolt when they're not even the same size specially when they already revealed Voyager Silverbolt last year
Does the green shoulder orb still have that dumb cockpit chair? I remember the plan was to release pilots that would ride in the cockpit orb of Tigerhawk & Megatron Transmetal 2 was all about asymmetry & pilots.
Also I would like to see hasbro do an update on transmetal airrazor all they would have to do is modify the studio series airrazor to be more in line with the original figure. And I want a transmetal 2 blackarachnia and animated blackarachnia
Thank you for the review. I don't like those skinny little back legs. They look skeleton hind legs and the rest of the body has the robotic flesh. I guess some scraplets were chewing on him?
I agree, the chest is an absolute bitch to get tabbed together in beast mode, though I attribute it to the arm not quite having enough clearance even when everything is properly positioned, because I can get one side or the other tabbed in easily, but getting both of them on at once is near impossible. On my figure, the friction joint that holds the faux piston onto specifically the left foot lets go if you so much as breathe on it, and the breast plate keeps popping off as well. Also worth noting is that if you open the panel on the tiger's head, the upper arm has a series of tabs, slots, and hinges that allow it to better position itself in each mode. Aesthetically, I think this figure is fantastic, but I'm worried that it will develop gold plastic syndrome with age. I also wish they'd included the falcon visor and jointed thumb talons on the bird legs, as well as the ability to swing them around as a second pair of arms like on the original figure.
I am in the minority here but the more complicated these toys have gotten, the less impressed I am. I like that the normal toys are becoming more like Masterpiece figures but I don't see that good for playability. I do appreciate the engineering involved. It seems to unfold and turn 90 degrees and fold back up again. I would love to see the animated version of the transformation - either CG or anime. (EDIT: not the original Beast Wars, it's disappointing: ruclips.net/video/-Sy4hd3Npis/видео.htmlsi=_qVyBSiBAcA2H2G4&t=136) I know Hasbro makes 1 step changers and such though but I prefer something simple like the Classics line.
I don’t want springs in my collectibles. They just don’t last and always make the toy unusable in a short few years. I’m extremely glad we aren’t seeing that anymore for the most part. I think I’ve broken like 4 or more spring loaded figures in the last year alone from Cyberverse
Although I do want to see a Razorclaw repaint exist, I’m not going to be buying this mold. Just seems overly complicated and frustrating. I have the original Universe Razorclaw which I will make do with.
The engineering isn't that much more complicated than the original, just a couple more steps. Honestly, once you figure out how it goes, it's VERY fun to transform. I usually have recency bias when it comes to new Transformers with how often I transform them, but after getting Chase and the rock lord dudes after tigerhawk, tigerhawk is still the one I transform the most.
The wing’s definitely seemed heavily inspired by kingdom airrazor and is definitely a great representation of the character that in my head cannon is the child of airrazor and tigatron
"I know it looks messy it's going to get worse" I love that quote

i love prowl to
Honestly I think prowl has an overall more animated accurate anatomy than bee, which just looks like a normal transformer outside of his head sculpt.

Fusion of tigratron and airazor those two were adduced by the vok

FYI… if they ever make a 2003 universe razorclaw… I will never doubt hasbro again. The original toy was one of my favorite transformers of all time.
Same he was my favorite as a kid
Meanwhile they're still grooming children.
This is a good microcosm as to why people still give Hasbro any credit at all. Nostalgia and cope.

The beast head has a peg hole on it, so the mask was presumably planned to be there at some stage. Maybe a hypothetical redeco/retool will have it.
Missing the Transmetal, it’s just not the same without it.
Balt I don’t know if this counts but doesn’t kingdom/legacy blaster/Twincast have a spring?? Correct me if I’m wrong. Also amazing review 👌 5:06
It does, and so do both soundwave molds from WFC
Siege Starscream had springloaded panels in the legs if I remember correctly

Am I the only one that thinks of the Transformers Superlink/Energon combinations when seeing the transformation?
He's actually really faithful to the show design
Is it just me or did Balty break out the 2008 camera?
now that I think of it, outside of retro re-releases there hasn't been a spring loaded launching gimmick/weapons since transformers prime
Your "tail gun" joke wasn't so bad. I'd have made a Klingon reference.
So.. its kingdom megatron with more steps, gotcha lol nice vid btw

I really hope we get a repaint/ remold of this figure so we can have a modern version of beast wars silverbolt

It's an interesting reinterpretation of a Griffin...

Shouldn’t he have come with some electricity blast effects? I’m pretty sure I have some somewhere
Does it has GPS problem?
I like it, much cheaper than original one.
Waiting for mine my package center got mine but hasn’t let me pick it up yet😊
I keep waiting for Silverbolt
i want to belive that this is a sing that takara will get to him soon
5:10 Dude…Ultra Magnus? You even showed him like five seconds later. Also Dino Megatron.
the leg split made me laugh
i call that the banaeg split
banana +leg=banaeg
I have the original. But as a grown Man I have locked it away somewhere that I do not know. So that justifies buying this one right?
Very enjoyable video
Ultra Magnus' chest is spring loaded
I never seen this, when did it come out
2004
There's Tasmania Kid
He looks cool
His tiger head looks more like a wolf furry costume.
Polarclaw might be a remold down the line... looks good. I might be insane enough to buy it AND the inevitable Razorclaw repaint. And Polarclaw too.
Polar Claw is at MOST gonna be as voyager, theres no way theyd turn this thing into him
@@aph1dqueenyeah that'd make sense, he should be dinobutt or rhinox size.

I hate that he only has 1 arm blaster.
Let the power of the Vok end this!
Convenient time to check RUclips...
Toy accurate, show accurate, ir Razorclaw?
Tough choice, I like all 3.
Spring gun? The new giant primal
Hello Internet? 😅 And the hands are not in proportional to the body.. Still overall pretty unique figure.
I like him got my little brother the original great toy this one sweet to but Megatron better
