Wow, they did a good job on this guy, looks like. I'm loving the remakes of these Beast Wars figures - my new and my old Transmetal 2 Megatron are guarding the top of my shelf on both sides. I would KILL (aka, gently plead) for a new Depth Charge. He's the one I've always wanted and a new mold would be great.
thank god, less pieces that can be lost. I got one of the original versions from a friend 17 years ago and it was missing all projectiles and one of it's lower arms
Now to truly finish beast wars we only need 3 more characters. Rampage, quickstrike, and depthcharge. And when it comes to depth charge he can be done in a very easy remold of kingdom cyclonus. If you have him look at him in vehicle mode from the back and tell me it doesnt already look like the beast mode.
@peaugh there is that slot on the head that is not used for anything so there is hope that an eventual razorclaw repaint may come with it, a takara release like all the other beast wars figures may come with it, or if push comrs to shove dna or some other 3rd party company can easily impliment it.
Thanks for the review. I've never owned a figure of this character before but i have purchased this one and it's in transit. I looooove the presentation in both modes. Also, the number of configurations in robot mode with the wing and cannon positioning just adds more to the figure.
Looks fantastic! Not necessarily interested in this usage of the mold, but a Razorclaw redeco would be a day 1 preorder. What would Hasbro even call it? Universe Universe Razorclaw?
I enjoyed this figure so much that I got TMII Megs to go with him, since Megs was on sale. And, they’re both very nice, but I think Tigerhawk is a nicer figure overall, since their bot mode is naturally more balanced than Megs’. I am a little disappointed that there are some areas painted white which don’t have such a solid coat so the colors underneath are showing on the edges, and the paint looks like it will definitely scratch. I also wish the robot head could look up more, tho I could easily mod to do so, but I’m not that interested that I want to do that. And, just opening the panel on top of the beast mode head lets that look up plenty, at least. Besides that, tho, Tigerhawk is really fun and a feast for the eyes! 😽
Spoiler Fun Fact: Tigerhawk was killed off in the finale of Beast Wars because they had no plans to release the toy. But they changed their minds and it was too late to to undo his death. So the original figure was released after the show had ended.

Yeah, I feel like removing the disc launcher gimmick could allow them to really streamline the robot mode if they update him.

the "tech headband" is show accurate, he never had the battle mask in show but one of the mobile games did give him the battle mask
Oh yeah, he’s absolutely more show accurate all around, I just really liked that battle mask on the original.

He is way better in hand than most people were saying. Ive had mine for just over a week and he's been my favorite since Inferno

I hardly remember that Tigerhawk ever transforms in robot mode. It's like most of the show - all characters was all time in beast mode.
Always nice to see S2/S3 character designs getting updates. Any plans to review Magmatron when he releases?
