Random Trivia: Tigatron's role in the Beast War's cartoon was originally intended for Wolfang, his toy bio being very similar to Tigatron's portrayal in the show. But the time and cost of CGI animation made it difficult to have that many unique character models, so they opted to enlarge Cheetor's model for Tigatron instead.

I love the fact that despite him being born after cheetor, cheetor sees him as the bigger cat. Wonder what he would have thought of him now as Alpha Trizer.
Considering how weak a cheetah is compared to a tiger.
Tigatron may technically be younger than Cheetor, but he has a much more mature personality than him.
Maybe it was that the Cheetah Cheetor scanned for his beast mode was a pre-teen and the Snow tiger of Tigratorn was already an older oner

It's funny that he did make it to Cybertron... but it was dominated by Megatron's Vehicon army in the 3H Wreckers comics so it wasn't as beautiful as Earth as he imagined it.

Tigerhawk... talk about being united with your beloved... forever. One thing I find odd is that his beast-mode design did not resemble the traditional griffon, instead basically a tiger with wings stuck to its torso and a hawk tail.

A griffon is a lion mixed with an eagle, not a tiger.

Even though Kingdom massacred Tigatron in the series, they did a great job with the figure.
I think they might have gotten the voice actors for him and Dinobot confused because they seem to have each other’s voices

My only nitpick with Kingdom Tigertron, is the fact that, unlike his original toy,
his gun is completely exposed in beast mode, rather than being hidden in the tail piece.
Not to mention the tail is stuck in a downward position. Meaning putting him in a running pose looks stupid without tail articulation.
@@nine_tails137 The gun being exposed in beast mode doesn't bother me too much as I'm just glad they gave him a gun unlike Cheetor. But I agree with your criticisms.
@@legoawcstopmotioner9435 Yeah, the Robot mode looks great though. Especially as a cheap alternative to the masterpiece version. Although IDK if "cheap" is an appropriate word anymore, since Hasbro upped their prices on Marvel Legends?(I heard it from an acquaintance in case you're wondering.)
Tigatron is a seriously underrated and influential character. You can see resonances of his character in Prowl in Transformers Animated.
I would love to see those two interact and maybe even throw in somebody like G1 Beachcomber and Jazz. You can tell they would definitely vibe.

What a lame personality for an Autobot! He wouldn't join the other autobots, he just prowled around alone. So what use is Tigatron for the Autobots or even the PLOT? He had at best rare recurring appearances in the series.
Fun fact: the initial plan was for the Maximal Wolfang to be in the show, but they went with Tigatron instead to save production costs, since doing so involved simply modifying Cheetor's animation model.
Just typing that made me realize that if Wolfang and Airazor became a couple, would the Vok merge them into Silverbolt?
Something interesting of the Earth Wars game is that Airazor did appear in the game from an alternate timeline through a Vok vortice and met Tigerhawk, I hope they add Tigatron to the game and interact with Tigerhawk too, but since the portal closed I don't think that will ever happen, unless they try to help Airazor get back to her own time and Tigatron shows up, that would be amazing

Those mutant head designs are pretty weird, but I could imagine someone toying (no pun intended) with that idea for different purposes like that one comic you mentioned.
Anyways, Tigatron was a great addition to "Beast Wars" with his connection to nature, as well as his mentor-like relationship with Cheetor. The fact that they share the same toy mold and similar CGI models is kind of a clever way of illustrating this dynamic. His focus episodes in Season 1 were arguably some of the best from that season.
The fact that we've got a tigatron basics episode before a rattrap basics episode make it feels like a timeline lol

Granted.. took a bit to hit the leaders of the factions. Maybe he's just making sure Rattrap gets the quality he deserves?
Ugh, Rattrap is one of the worst characters in the franchise. Horrible face, grating voice and an annoying personality. An offence to all the senses.

My wife just got me Tigertron and Mutant Tigertron for my birthday! They are awesome additions to my collection
I just got “vintage” Tigatron at Walmart on Wednesday and the Kingdom one at Target the previous Tuesday.
Even though Tigertron is a Seriously and interesting maximal Tigertron is not only one of my favorite Maximals but also Tigatron is not only a Reconnaissance solider but also developed a deep bond with the Maximal aerial reconnaissance Airazor that culminated in their merging into the Powerful Vox Emissary Tigerhawk but also after the heroic death of the Maximal Tigerhawk the Vox gave Tigatron's spark a new body a Transmetal current form,also you're doing a wonderful job with all you're videos Chris👏👌 them coming stay healthy stay safe and have a wonderful day.☺

Good to see Tigatron get some much deserved attention. I feel like he often goes overlooked compared to other Beastwars characters because he was an outsider and then was super quickly killed off

Tigatron is honestly one of my favourite beast wars characters,the eye of the tiger will be probably with him,tigatron was honestly one of the best beast wars parts especially with his quotes,his friendship with airizor was so badass and cool,the fusion version of him with her (tigerhawk) was amazing,i wish if they show tigerhawk earlier in season 3,i also wish if tigerhawk didn't dies so fast

I just got the Kingdom toy the other day, so this was a really nice surprise!
I enjoyed his depiction alongside Airazor in the Windblade series. It didn't detract anything from his portrayal in the og BW and allowed a favorite couple to continue into the modern era of media.
Tigatron was always my favorite character in Beast Wars. Thank you for this video. I also had a Tigerhawk action figure. Tigatron was, to me, easily one of the characters the show needed to ground itself. His nature-inclined ways of thinking were a much-needed relief from Dinobot's more edgelord angst-filled personality in my eyes.
He wasn't just a part-time partner to Cheetor, he was also a bit of a big brother figure to the younger cat. After his disappearance, Tigatron's role as mentor was replaced by Optimus Primal.
I often compared tigatron to an monk while dinobot to an samurai
Cheetor is older than tigatron so tigatron is more like a more mature little brother
He was integral in helping Cheetor grow into a capable leader, Optimus Feral. i wish they actually made a concept of Cheetor as a prime instead of leaving him as he looked.

I was so afraid that you were gonna end the episode mentioning his last days as having no more further appearances in shows, comic books and only toys but thankfully you ended it on the newer series incarnations and his role in the comics and that last part with his quote is just "chefs kiss👌" perfect

A neat little tidbit: Tigatron's beast mode is likely female because he scanned Snowstalker and they are the same size (tigers have a considerable size difference between male and female).

Tigatron was the first Transformer I ever saw when I was three years old. That may be why he is my favorite character in Beast Wars.
Well that explains why I never found a Tigerhawk figure back in the day. Such a missed opportunity.

I love everything you've done so far. I even learned new things because of this series.
Found a Tigerhawk a few years back with no yellowing on his white plastic, no instructions, but he had all his accessories (2 spring-loaded missile launchers & their appropriate ammunition). He was surprisingly cheap too!

If you think about it one can consider Tigerhawk to be the son of Tigatron and Airazor due to them fusing their sparks together and taking over Tigerhawk.

One of the most underrated of all Maximals. He wasn't my favorite but when he showed up I knew things were serious and I did love his romance with Air Razor. She and Tigatron were meant to be.💞

Glad the Beast Wars Tigatron was as good as he was, considering the dividing opinions of the Kingdom cartoon. Now if Hasbro could only do something about the severe yellowing the Kingdom toy seems to be experiencing, that'd be grand!

The yellowing is actually on purpose, it’s not a bug, it’s a feature

@@draconic1802 Ah, alas then. I was sure of the implied sarcasm. The paint is, unfortunately, not the yellowing I speak of. I am talking about the actual white plastic underneath yellowing. Unevenly even, as different panels are yellowing at different rates. Just hold a Tigatron figure in day light, it'll be visible straight out of the packaging. And on the rare instance it's not: it will be after a mere 24 hours in a naturally lit environment.
To compare: I have a 25 year old Primal Prime who's stood in a naturally lit room for the past 8 years: not a single issue.

Tigatron has always been my favorite transformers ever since I got my first taste of the formers with beast wars. I love his look and personality.

Yeah.. When he and airrazor were taken you can tell Cheetor took it the hardest. He lost a big brother And what came back was someone familiar but very different. And then lost that one as soon as they reunited.

Tigertron did have a life on Cybertron before Beast Wars though. I've been rewatching random episodes the past few months and I'm 99% positive that all Maximals aboard that ship were active until the ship started going down, and Optimus ordered all but a few of the Maximals on that ship into stasis pods to be ejected, to keep as many save as possible.

I think the Zarak one would be very interesting due to the two different versions of him in Japan and America. Could also mention the Transformers Animated trivia that the Decepticons in that setting were a faction of the Destrons who were lead by Mega Zarak.

Tigatron is a mix between Springer, Hound, Mirage, Beachcomber, and Prowl not to mention him and Airazor are The Beast Wars Version of Springer and Arcee.
There is actually a "Tigatron Stadium" seen a few times in Animated. I'm surprised this wasn't mentioned.
