Outside the knee issues, and the bizarre outcomes of the game accuracy, I wish he was a little larger? I haven't played WFC or seen enough to be an expert here, but he feels a bit too small compared to the other GE figures. Over all, very strange, I'd argue it's like the ROTB mainline Bumblebee when it comes to Megatron toys
As TTG said, Megatron scales almost perfectly with the other SS GE figures. He also scales pretty well with the 2010 WFC Starscream. Having played the games, especially the sword duel with Optimus at the end of the second one, the shot at 3:32 shows that they're almost perfectly sized for one another. If he feels small, it's probably because even Siege Megatron is about a head taller than this version. But it feels really solid and chunky in-hand, so I'm not complaining.
He scales pretty good with the other GE figures actually, and tbf, this is a young megatron, so I actually don't find his size too much of an issue, unlike a figure lik OG DOM Megatron-

Honestly like this figure regardless of its nitpicks and problems. But it does feel like they may be using too much budget for other lines, like what happened w rotb prime's truck bed. like the rotb ss line(good thing) and legacy line (good I guess?)
Sucks because I def don't want them to scale down but I've noticed there's been more compromises than usual with the new releases. Like mirage and especially nightbird recently (regardless of licensing). Guess I wouldn't mind if they put a hold on the Gamer editions until they can work things out.
@Blackw1ng Or even slightly less figures from their subIines or even a little less figures from legacy. But I do agree that we can wait for more GE if they put more time and effort into it. Especially because of possible section A figures being leaked, which is again, another subline. Too much budget is being spread out
@Blackw1ng It's apparently a new subline for Studio Series, I believe primevsprime and a few other youtubers talked about it in their 2024 list leaks(taking this w a grain of salt), called Section A. That's all I know, unfortunately. It may entail popular characters by demand like Optimus prime and bumblebee. I'm not fully confident about it yet.
@@dinobotslug5422 Ngl if it is true I can kinda see it as being like a vote "this" figure type of deal. Sounds cool but would probably take forever to release figures if it isn't just a line for voted rereleases, which ngl we kinda need
I don’t even think it’s the size of the cannon itself, it’s how it’s placed on his arm. The port is right in the middle of the barrel, so it feels short compared to where his hand is. If they move that plug just a half an inch or two down, so it hangs lower, I don’t think it would have looked as bad.
For me, the original toy just looks more appealing overall. This guy feels too skinny, hate the treads kibble on the legs, and I think the head is ugly. Even if the details individually are technically more accurate, the original toy feels more true to the spirit imo.
What we really need is a 5MM compatible version of the deluxe’s fusion cannon. It was a fantastic sculpt that isn’t compatible with anything This figure looks really solid and I definitely want one
I wouldn't like it if they made changes to the design like adding treads or a cannon that sits on top. The thing that appeals to people about studio series is accuracy, so I don't care if it can't roll, I don't play with them like a child, I'm happy they didn't take such design liberties. Keep it accurate to the game and no one can complain. Tbh I also have no issues with the arm cannon, it looks more like the FOC trailer version but i don't mind. Megatron used both ultimately. I don't see it as a problem.
I've seen Gamer Edition at Target I wanna pick it up, and mod it a bit, especially the knee fix, not sure about painting, but I love how this figure looks
I only have two issues with this figure, one being that you cant have him hold the mace from higher up the handle, and two being that the feet don't angle inward far enough. Everything else is pretty nice (of course after you remove those thigh pegs, but mine has been opened, last owner was smart enough to do it themselves)
i think the complaints about the size are another "it's accurate, but do we care ?" moment (and also warped expectations) : lots of people wanted a Megatron that wasn't just the Siege one to go with their other figures, and are just disappointed in this one because he looks odd being so small alongside SS38 or 102 among others. then there's also the way some could misinterpret the size because of FOC Megatron being bigger overall, while in WFC he was shorter also, the cannon looks a bit cooler if you turn it around, baltmatrix did it and it was really cool
No offense to anyone who genially thinks the canon is an issue. But in my opinion the canon is game accurate and that's okay with me, he didn't have a huge G1 type canon in the game he had a wrist sized cannon like on the toy
The problem with the cannon isn't length, but mass. The cannon could probably do with being a tad longer but its main problem is that it just looks too thin and would benefit from being thicker. This is most notable when you try to use it as an arm weapon instead of simply attaching it to his arm (Though from what I remember WfC Megs never uses the Fusion Cannon in this configuration).
The cannon screams "hit me with a coat of gunmetal gray!" I'd also add some rust wash to look it all kinds of messed up. Let's see how it takes to some acrylics when mine arrives tomorrow.
Knees aside I think this figures greatest design flaw is that the gun is just way to smooth and clean. It has way more little details on the game model that they could have molded in. Would have made look a little less like it’s just a tube on his arm.
3:35 Are you kidding? He is too small! he's thinner and shorter than Prime and the tank characters in the game are some of the biggest! Dude should been Leader class.
MY main nitpick is (yes the cannon) but also the back. yeah, the old one was based off the concepts but the back itself was at least game accurate. i do like the faction insigs on the back of the wfc/foc designs
I know that I’m late to this but your Canadian jokes of saying “eh” comes out so naturally and it is hilarious. Who am I am to say, I’m from west coast of Canada. Also I wasn’t at the time when I saw Megatron at my local stores if I should get him or wait until they go down in price because when I saw him in box as I call every toy, “they’re strapped in for surgery” because I have to get them out of the box. I bought wfc starscream at full price because he looked the best. Technically, I’ll buy anything even gunplay so long as there isn’t any plastic fractures and they sand the nibs where they clip off from a runner down before painting it. That is win for me.
I for one am mixed when it comes to toys being better or worse than their predecessors. Key example, Combiner Wars Ultra Magnus and WFC Ultra Magnus. While I like the size of CW Magnus, I love the classic gimmick in WFC Magnus. But that doesn’t mean I think one is better than the other. They have strengths and weaknesses that I feel balance each other out. I enjoy CW Magnus for his massive size, and WFC for being two toys in one. Also, I agree with you and Vangelus. That definitely sounds like a stability decision. I remember a mainline toy I got that had such weak knees that I had to use a good deal of floor polish to tighten the joints. It would just fall backwards at the knees every time. The floor manager most likely handled an improperly tightened prototype and thought to improve it based on that.
That was one of the smoothest intros you've ever done, nice job! also that canada joke in the intro was pretty funny as a fellow canadian edit: what version of Anxiety did you use, since the one in the desc (the automatic one) doesn't sound the same
Funnily enough my copy has the same problem you mentioned about the left thigh and the wobbly waist. I swear I have to be super careful with this figure
Most tanks in the high moon games did the hover treads then switch to roll for speed but yeah megatron is one of the few that didn't in wfc. I think this figure is closer in more ways than the old deluxe but there's still plenty of things that are worse than the older one. The mace not having a proper pole like the recent Optimus sucks, the fusion cannon is a near impossible task to get perfect cuz it isn't the same between the two modes in game. I think they should've based the cannon on the bot mode design instead just cuz robot mode is where this figure does better in the most . I'm not a fan of the dark grey cuz I think that in the first game his base color was so bright, almost white, it stood out against that first games other mostly dark characters and dark world. The opposite happens in the second game where Megatron's new body has dark colors contrasting with Fall of Cybertrons heavy use of chrome looking colors, brighter skies and just more color variety in general
The little clips on the back of the knees could be there to help replicate the slightly crouched look that characters had in War for Cybertron during gameplay.
I did play FOC recently and when we meet Megatron in Iacon for the first time, its exactly how the figure looks including the cannon, altho the cannon should add just abit more square bits but overall the shape and legth is the same like the original design minus some square bits on the canon, its not exactly Riot Cannon.
I found this guy for 10 bucks at an entertain-mart. He's missing his mace but for 10 bucks im happy. I genuinely didn't know he was a voyager. I thought he was a deluxe so that's a bit surprising. Ill snip those knee tabs eventually but for now, I'm digging him.
How did you enjoy Fan Expo? Also what day were you there I was there but didn’t see you if you were there on the Saturday. Did you get any signatures or photos?
Despite its flaws, he is still selling pretty quickly. Where I get mine from, they have almost a dozen Cliffjumpers... but only the 1 Megatron. I was lucky to get my copy.
I’m not gonna defend the knees because the first thing I did was sand the pegs. But that is the only complaint I had. I personally love it more than the original
Im so torn on this figure. I really want it to go with my gamer prime and other gamer edition figures. He just feels slightly too short next to prime which is the only thing really stopping me from getting the figure. Ill probably wait for a sale
Feeling a need to defend yourself is a symptom of a disease. Have more faith in what you feel, and then the wisdom to know when to act on it. Also, yeah, people who never want to give things a chance bother me, too.
I honestly like him I think most of the complaints are coming from wanting an updated version of a toy that’s nearly as old as I am, rather than wanting a war for Cybertron Megatron
Me personally I had to get the figure myself to say whether or not I liked it. And I gotta say I love it. The only issues I have are the knee but that’s easy to deal with and fix. The other issue I have is the cannon, I wish there was a bit more detail on it instead of having a smooth look, I’d just want more detail. Overall good figure
I tried to understand why those tabs exist. Looks like they were stoppers or gap fillers for the alt mode, but they are as useful as a freezer in Antarctica.
The thing that dissapoint me most of this toy, is that it didn´t carried the correct cannon, this Megatron is using the Fall cannon instead of the War for Cybertron cannon
I just got my first Gamer edition figure being Cliffjumper. And I love it. The gimmick with the removable arm is awesome. But I hated the Transformation. I don't know why it was so hard but it was. So I decided I'd just keep him in Robot mode.
The original is fine I just don’t like the colour of the original and they’re an upgrade kit Which makes the gun on his arm bigger and makes it much bigger and if this can. Be a bit bigger
Can you explain what you mean by ‘people going into this as an experiment?’ Also totally disagree on the size of the cannon, any larger would look out of proportion.
I just got my hands on this dude. I really like him. He’s not perfect and I don’t like that he’s as short as he is, I’d be satisfied if he was at least Siege Megs height, but that’s honestly my biggest complaint about him. I haven’t found any of the other GE figures for some reason so as of right now he’s probably a stand alone figure for me, like he probably won’t get paired with anything. He’s a very good toy all things considered
I read that the tabs on the knees was a product of misinterpreting or misalignment of the CAD model during the process. How no one caught this error is astounding.

I cut the tabs and gave him the deluxe head, now it's a perfect figure
The knee things, the rumor is a misassembly issue
Poor Thunderclash.
Mate lost his head. :/
Appart the knee thing, I find this Megs pretty nice and solid.
Bicep Swivel + waist swivel >>>>>>>>>>>>>> accuracy
That was one of the smoothest intros you've ever done, nice job!
also that canada joke in the intro was pretty funny as a fellow canadian
edit: what version of Anxiety did you use, since the one in the desc (the automatic one) doesn't sound the same
1:41 thank you soooo much. I know like this figure 31% more
I do wish he felt more solid and was a tad taller like the original one. Plus the Canon looks sus and the back doesn't feel right but he's OK still
Not picking him or Barricade up till they go on a good sale, like 10 bucks off each one.
Bro really likes neffex and im all about it
Funnily enough my copy has the same problem you mentioned about the left thigh and the wobbly waist.
I think they should've based the cannon on the bot mode design instead just cuz robot mode is where this figure does better in the most
If a figure’s not accurate, people complain. If a figure is accurate, people complain. At this point, what do ya’ll want toy designers to do?
there was no reason for the intro to go this hard on an ok figure HAHAH
The little clips on the back of the knees could be there to help replicate the slightly crouched look that characters had in War for Cybertron during gameplay.
2:17 the ultimate life form
Bro knows all the good neffex songs
I did play FOC recently and when we meet Megatron in Iacon for the first time, its exactly how the figure looks including the cannon, altho the cannon should add just abit more square bits but overall the shape and legth is the same like the original design minus some square bits on the canon, its not exactly Riot Cannon.
Also I don't know if it was in both of the games, but I do remember that he would stand with his knees bent
This intro was hard asf also hyped for new bb movie megatron
My only issue with this video is that you didn't address the mace that this Megatron comes with.
The knee tabs face a totally different direction in the instructions. Totally unclear why or when they were changed to face down…
I have this toy. The left shoulder hinge is upside down, meaning i cant tab in the arm when im transforming it.
Be carefull cutting the back knee tabs if you go too far it could snap but if your calm and chill its posing is increased by 25 percent
You went to fan expo with ultra primal? Well i could still wait for her reviews. Can't rush a lady.
I really hope we get a gamer edition warpath my buddy needs some love!! His design was Soo frickin sick too
I used i knife/ snippers basically the same way for skullgrin so his legs could kick out
Duuude that intro song slaps when doing some higher education
Feeling a need to defend yourself is a symptom of a disease. Have more faith in what you feel, and then the wisdom to know when to act on it. Also, yeah, people who never want to give things a chance bother me, too.
Wait your alive?
Hopefully DNA can fix that Fusion Canon. It's way too small for my liking. Otherwise i do like it.
Broooo the music to the intro 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What is the name ?
BTW 10/10 intro ones again
I honestly like him
I think most of the complaints are coming from wanting an updated version of a toy that’s nearly as old as I am, rather than wanting a war for Cybertron Megatron
Those treads are what happens when people demand complete accuracy from Hasbro.
I wonder if it's miss-assembled. Like it looks more like those are on the wrong legs. and that the Tab should face forward. but IDK
Nice intro man
Atleast I did the same thing to use a tool to cut the peg on his knees so he can pose better so he can kneel
I just got my first Gamer edition figure being Cliffjumper. And I love it. The gimmick with the removable arm is awesome. But I hated the Transformation. I don't know why it was so hard but it was. So I decided I'd just keep him in Robot mode.
They announced games edition starscream figure for next year but this is just beautiful 😍
Now i will wait for DNA design kit for this guy
Bro that intro was fucking clean
Please do a review on the SS Deluxe War for Cybertron Gamer Edition Cliffjumper next 🙏
The original is fine I just don’t like the colour of the original and they’re an upgrade kit Which makes the gun on his arm bigger and makes it much bigger and if this can. Be a bit bigger
Can you explain what you mean by ‘people going into this as an experiment?’
Also totally disagree on the size of the cannon, any larger would look out of proportion.
Intro goes hard🔥🔥
What did you use to cut the knee thing off?
Only downside to me is the fact that Australian he's only available at EB Games and is nearly $70
Does cutting the back of the knees make it look like it's going to break? Looked like you could see the pin inside the leg on another pic I saw.
