Hey everyone!
With all of the Genesis 2 Chronicles having been released, I wanted to make a "cinematic" type of video in an attempt to perhaps bring them to a life a little bit more. Enjoy :)

Hey, I need to be completely clear with this video to avoid confusion -- my voice actor in the Sir Edmund Rockwell Survival Story is NOT David Tennant. His name is Elliott Crossley and he does a good impression of Tennant. The Rockwell voice in this video IS David Tennant, as he is heard in the game itself through the Genesis Chronicles 2 Notes. I do not work for WildCard, nor do I claim to -- this is merely a cinematic that shows off content within the game. Thank you :)

I absolutely love David Tennant as Rockwell, I love how friendly and carefree he sounds in some of these notes, and then how fast he can get more aggressive
I'm fascinated by Ark's lore, but I'm far too lazy to collect and read the explorer notes, so thanks for making amazing videos about them.
Also I could listen to Rockwell speaking forever.

@@A5tr0101 there is a lot of lore. The whole game takes place millions of years in the future after a massive war using a alien metal called element ravaged the earth killing plants corrupting animals and machines, creating kaiju, and forcing humanity to build the ark and the genesis simulation to survive. The reason we have animals from all over the world, past, present, and future, myth or fact is because of element and the advanced tek of the arks and the genesis simulation. Why do you think there are rexs and laser weapons in the same place.

I still don't really see him as the character. Would have liked Pedro Pascal or Diego Luna especially since Santiago was latino.

Bruh ark's lore is so amazing. Started from dinosaurs, then turned into aliens and robots
then turned into a Halo simulation complete with the Flood and Gravemind xD
@@vit-t680 yet, but you can maybe consider Rockwell one, or a super-evolved being thats no longer human
@@vit-t680 but Ark 2 is hinting at another Ark (or series of arks, who knows) outside of the solar system or at least where the current Ark network is

I honestly kinda wish it just stuck with dinosaurs. The few creatures that got added in scorched earth and aberration were cool, but once extinction released I just really felt Ark had distanced very far from its roots

Was gonna make the joke "That Santiago voice actor is great!" but people are already making that joke so I'll instead say I am sooo hyped for David Tennant as Rockwell. IMO the best part of genesis part 1 was the inside and cleave cokes with HLN-A and I love that there keeping that going with at least Rockwell with his remarks about Scorch earth being "Disappointing" and "how small it looks now" as refence to A: how small SE is compared to every other map and B: how CRAZY stuff gets after SE. I am so hyped for gen 2!!! Should also clarify I love SE but many people consider it a "disappointment" which sucks D: but hey they have the same opinion as the main villain of the story. Take that as you will

I remember hearing years ago that they planned to add Ascension and a cinematic for Scorched Earth in an update. Shame that never got to pass.

I actually really enjoy ned as santiago. I was surprised at first but would actually really enjoy seeing the extinction notes for Santiago voiced by ned as well.

Is it me, or these Santiago notes don't really fit Genesis 2, but more Ark 2. Unless there will be another clone of him on Genesis Ship
Yeah I'm not entirely sure why they went with adding some extra notes for him.. I wonder if it was just an after thought or if it was intentional.

I thought it was a little weird too, but then I remembered that Genesis is setting up to Ark 2, and since in the trailer for Ark 2 clearly takes place on a new plant and has what looks like the remains of the Genesis colony ship. so based on the info we have, it looks like one of the only ways Santiago and the dinos could get to this new plant, is by the Genesis colony ship, and if this is true then I think there is a small chance we might actually meet Santiago in Genesis 2, but that’s unlikely.
I think real Santiago never died to ice titan. It was clone. Santiago is going to be anganoist of ark 2 or ark 3. He literally said see you soon. There is also reason why he can be antagonist. Even as a Mortal he was skilled and very smart. He created meks and mega mek. Hacked entire aberration and save it from self destructing. His clone we saw is most likely helping us on our new journey.
@@rockwell5960 well, real Santiago died few centuries ago, in this global tek world war, and I know that Santiago from notes was already clone. I'm saying that these notes were either teasers of ark 2, where new Santiago clone has big role (?) or he'll be somehow someway on Genesis Ship

So can someone explain to me again, why/how does the player end up in the genesis simulation?
I have a theory that the beds in the Ark 2 preview have something to do with it. Especially seeing ad Rockwell references genesis as "you're dreaming again"
You also have to save a colony ship in Gen2 and in Ark 2 there's a colony ship.
Probably way off but that's what I got from it.
The ending cutsceme for extinction will show how you got to genesis

@@beautyanime594 nah, it shows Rockwell landing on earth which is where extinction place.Gen 2 takes place 1000 years after extinction. So in gen 1, we are actually on the ship of gen 2 the whole time, but within gen 1s simulation.Hell, we could've been in those beds from the beginning of this whole thing, except extinction is actual earth......

My personal theory is HLNAs ”voice box” is actually Helena herself talking. Maybe she’s talking through HLNA. Trying to guide you on what to do? Also, am I the only one that believes the purple Rockwell isn’t actually him? He might be buried underneath all that mutagen.

We all started on the right ARK...The Island. We all tamed and survived around but then one day we found their notes..maybe back in 2015 when scorched was planned..maybe they were already there..after it launched maybe they ascended already. We followed them and read their notes more to know what's about. We arrived on the broken ARK too...We saw already what they built...we read the notes..one of them got crazy and tried to stop anyone who wanted to ascend..we stopped him too..Then we arrived finally on earth..we didn't knew that it was earth but later we found out..all those stuff what the earlier survivors did..they tried to save earth..and delete the one who tries to stop them. One of them showed us an important task: Beat the titans and save earth...and we did it. One day we woke up in a Simulation. Someone's familiar is coming through our journey. We found glitches and errors...seems like the crazed one made it too,but smarter than last time...We tried to kill him,we thought we were done. After we woke up,he became real...we took our new federated armor and trying now to end everything from where we started!
please please please do all the Arks story chronically....... i am so amazed by the lore but its too much a hustle to read every random note

Yep, I voiced Santiago Da Costa's 5 Genesis Chronicles 2 Notes, though it is not set in stone that I will voice him in the future -- Just didn't have anyone else :)

I feel like I’m the only one who seems to enjoy Extinction. I think had they left Rockwell dead after Aberration and ended the story at the fall of the King Titan it would still be a good ending to the storyline. Granted we wouldn’t get really cool creatures like Magmasaurs or trailers that give me genuine chills like Genesis 2 but still. What would Ark 2 be like had the story ended after Extinction or what would be the dlcs after Extinction if the story was over?
Extinction is the end of ark. Developers said it. Although story is over we do plan to have 2 more DLC-s in future. Ark genesis is new story and most likely new survivor as previous one is homodeus.

In ARK 2 he will be, and same for the animated series. I voiced him in this video because his notes are not voiced in the game.
