I am thinking of buying either the salmon or one of the saltwater field kits. Which would you prefer for someone who recently moved to Alaska? Thanks in advance!

Hi Josiah, what size of water are you fishing and what size of fish do you typically get into?

Hi, what do you think between this and the Orvis Clearwater?

Hi Thomas, thanks for the question. Both are great kits and very comparable, however the biggest difference in our opinion is that the Redington kit has a nicer fly line, as it comes with RIO's RIO GOLD trout-specific fly line. Take care and tight lines.

I’m thinking about grabbing the tropical one for largemouth bass/and redfish. It’s a 9ft 8wt. But it has the behemoth reel instead of the run for the same price. What would u suggest?

Behemoth is a great reel. I have 7/8, drag is phenomenal for large fish.

Don't you mean Rio Gold fly line, not Redington Gold?

Is the Salmon an 8wt line?
