For me 0-1 was super tough on my mental health. Now my oldest is 2 and I just had another one 2 months ago. Had some mommy rage, am exhausted, but I see the oldest giving him kisses and think about how they'll play together later on. I'm an only child, so it brings me extra joy to see this bond.
You guys are great! My wife is pregnant with our second and there is just SO much negative, gross stuff about having a second. I know it’s supposed to be empowering; but, it seems discouraging and a self-fulfilling prophecy. This is such a nice video. Thank you.
Just wanted to add that transitioning to 2 was also harder because when we had 1, if one parent was burned out or tired, the other parent would take over. One parents could go away for work / personal trip etc but now its much, much harder.
I’m currently pregnant with my second child. This video has helped me feel a little better about it. My daughter will be two years old when her sibling is born next year. She is already really helpful and she gets along with her cousin great. Her cousin is 8 months old. I watch both of them on the weekends so that helps me feel a bit better about having two kids. My sister is also pregnant with her second child. She is due in April and I’m due in May. I feel a bit more confident about this pregnancy but I’m still a little scared to be honest. You guys are awesome 🤩
👏 👏 👏 well done to both of you!!! This gave me more hope that when we have a second it won’t be so challenging with the transition (Also loving those wine glasses)
Transitioning to 1 kid was harder, but it took longer to adapt to the 2 kid life. The 2 year age difference between my kids, as well as my oldest’s “spirited” nature, made the first couple years with 2 kids so incredibly hard. Now they’re older and such buddies. I’ve heard and agree with the statement that having 2 kids is like having 1.5 in regards to the amount of work
Thank you for providing a positive story about what it’s like (and even some benefits to) having a second kid with a bit bigger than normal age gap between your first. Helps me feel like our personal family planning has more flexibility!
Hey Queen, can you create a video letting us know your birth experience with your first? The reason I ask is because many of us have had crazy pre and post pregnancy experiences and also crazy birth experiences. I would just love to hear your story.
I just came across your channel today and am so glad I did ... this was extremely reassuring, I am about to be a mom for the first time in just 3 days (scheduled cesarean unless he comes earlier) and ironically we have also decided to name our son Kai! I've been a bit panicked about everything from will I do things right to how will my marriage change and appreciate how open and honest you two were during this video. So thank you. And I look forward to following more of your journey and videos!
@@nekoleamber I am happier than I ever thought possible.. so grateful for this little man and to watch my husband become the most amazing father I just feel like the luckiest woman in the world 🥰
So true about babies evolving. I thought my daughter was such a good sleeper but now at 6 months she’s waking multiple times and napping for 20 minutes per nap 😅😅 keeps life interesting
We had our second about 8 months ago and I agree with a lot of what you shared. I especially love the comment about judging other people's parenting and kids' behavior. I saw a funny quote that y all might enjoy "as soon as I say my kids would never, there they go nevering like they've never nevered before" 😂😅.
This video is so comforting. Your story is so relatable to mine. Currently 10 weeks in with a 3 year old and a little intimidated but you give me peace when it comes to my son having a sibling and surviving. Tink tink 🥂
I think it helps to see parenting in phases or chapters. There are certainly more difficult chapters than others, but one day (it comes faster than we think) your little one is more independent and needs much less constant attention/supervision, which allows you more apace to breathe, rest, reset, etc. It won’t always be this difficult. That is something I wish I knew/could lean into the first time around. 🤍
*What are your biggest struggles or wins in transitioning from 0 to 1 or 1 to 2+ kids?*

"Children bring with them their own wealth." That statement is incredibly profound and true! Thank you both for this beautiful video. ❤️

Uff. So good to see this. I've been debating over having another child, this helps my decision to give him a sibling. Thank you!
No regrets, love! Glad this helped you!

Thank you for being here!!! 🙏🏾🤍🤍🤍
how does going from 1 to 2 kids more than double the parenting? It feels relentless. 1 feels like a breeze now.

There aren’t many videos like this.
Thankyou
Thankyou
You guys are so cute! Did your husband mean “DGAF” and not “Degaff”?! Just curious....hahaha 🤣
Lol DGAF is exactly what he meant. I think the subtitles struggle at times 😂
♥️♥️🥺
This white boy lucked up 🙄😂
