I had a choice between a 23 TRD Off Road, double cab, 6’ bed with the premium and technology pkgs or an identical 24.
I chose the 23, as it has the proven, reliable and durable 3.5L Naturally Aspirated (NA) engine.
Historically a Turbo gasoline powered engine simply doesn’t last as long as a NA engine.
I drive 6-7K miles per year and at my age in 20 years I’ll have less than 150K miles on my Tacoma.
By that time either I won’t be able to drive or I’ll be dead.

Just got a 2023 Taco SR5 less than a week ago and I love it. Wanted the practicality of a truck and the reliability of a Toyota. I’ve done some simple mods, but not sure how far I’ll go with mods. Just found your channel. Enjoying the videos!!

Hey man, just found a channel pretty cool. I have a question I currently drive a full-size F150 crew cab. I’m wondering your opinion on me making the switch to a taco and I really want to because I live north east of Nashville and I commute to about 50 miles south every day, I wanna get something that’s a little better on gas but also super reliable What are your thoughts?

Taco wasn’t for me. Way to small. Cool truck if you don’t need a back seat

Hey your one of the only ones that I see support and have success with the RIPP coils I just put a KN77 CAI with the coils; it runs great but here everyone say there no good and will go out. Also I was told by a OTT tuner they won’t tune it with the coils on truck.

I don’t know about tuning because that will void my warranty. But I have not had an issue with my coils. It might be an issue of having old spark plugs or not putting on the coils right.
