I bought my 2017 sr access cab RWD for $22.300 6 years ago and have been offered $20,000 this year
I like the tint job! Wished factory did it 5% but you know how that goes. I’m not a big fan of chrome and mine just had chrome badging around it but it stands out pretty good with the magnetic gray. Love the darker magnetic gray seats that came with it. Your truck looks nice and gray color would’ve been my second option. Good work so far! Keep up the excellent reviews.
Cool video. I got a friend who has a mid 1980’s Landcruiser, he’s the original owner. 540K miles, truly amazing how the older Toyota cars/trucks were built
I also have a 2022 sr5 in celestial silver king bed. Bought it with 10 miles a month ago. Have 2k miles on it now. The paint job is si nice. So many flakes pop up when the sun hits it.
Truck is looking sharp!! Black emblems & lettering will look sick with that color. You should look at doing a clear protective 3M film on the front end to keep rock chips from messing up that nice silver paint👍🏻
I had a 2006 Taco SR5 Prerunner until daughter totaled it last year. I had to buy at the worst time ever. I got a 2022 magnetic grey SR5 with the 6 cylinder. I have moments of doubt but I have never needed a 4x4 in the past. I can’t understand why there is a big movement to blackout the chrome. I hear people complaining about wind drag but like the fake hood scope. I ditched the below the bumper chin strap. I had to put the window louvres on (NC heat), the Retrax cover and step bars. I am looking forward to changing out the fog lights and adding the bed lights as well as the window tent as you suggested.
Nice video brother
Nice
I got a 2021 magnetic gray metallic SR5 Tacoma. I love the truck. The only mods I've done are a TRD pro grille, replacing the chrome bumper caps for color-matched, and blacking out the badging. For some reason, I'm getting 26-27 mpg combined (30mpg highway, and 21 city) -- I think because I still have stock 245/75/16 tires on it, and drive it like a grandpa.
Hi,
Do you have the 4 cylinder version? My 2021 OR 4x4 is giving me 16-17 mpg city , and 18-21 highway (I don’t really drive highway).
Mods - wildpeak tires (same size as stock) + pedal commander
@@krazylilman09 No. I have a 6 cylinder. It's an SR5. I'm in North Carolina, for reference.
@@northwolf i guess that weight difference helps a lot haha
Is replacing the chrome bumper to color matching is that easy or not really?
@@rodfarva633 It's pretty easy to replace the chrome bumper caps by yourself. There's many videos on RUclips showing how to do it for a Tacoma. I did it myself just by learning how to do it from some RUclips videos.
Need some advice, I’m stuck between getting a Tacoma and a 4Runner, I enjoy hiking, biking and going on road trips , the biggest deciding factor for me is interior space and cargo room, just thought I’d ask someone and get there thoughts from it, just been having some trouble deciding what will be best for me, also just fyi I am a 19 year old , so I don’t have any kids to hall around I’d just be halling friends as well as a bicycle and everything else id need to hike and go on long road trips and etc.
Honestly, Tacoma all the way. You will get better mpg and you can haul a lot more stuff.
I got my Trd sport for 42k out the door with a bunch of options.. I got white but I actually wanted the silver you got lol
I don't know if you still have your taco man, but I swear I got your truck lol. Exact same color, engine, four-wheel drive, black rims, blacked out logos (If you ever followed through with that, I'll have to go look for your future videos lol), and a bunch of other features exactly the same that aren't generally standard on the SR5s. Just picked it up used yesterday in California lol.
I still have it. 50k review coming up soon.
man makes the truck, truck doesn't make the man.
With those MPG numbers you must live in a flat state? Here in Cali stock I was getting 19 freeway 16 city
And with windshield tint that dark he must never drive at night lol
I live in Cali as well and I'm getting the same mileage as you. I just picked up my 2022 taco, with the same setup as the guy in the video(down to the color lol), "certified Platinum" from the dealership. So hearing his numbers made me worry that something might be wrong with the mileage I'm getting lol.
I just recently purchased a 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE in April but plan on trading it in for a 2022 TRD Sport Tacoma
Bad idea 😂
@@lauragrace3270 ok? Nobody asked you to comment a rude ass remark and it’s my decision lmao I already traded my gmc in for a 2018 off-road 🖕🏻
Slick truck bud
Dude that gray color is so sexy. I’m stuck with getting a regular sr-5 edition of TRD sport. People say it’s easy to upgrade sr-5. Is it cheaper to get a SR-5 and cheaper to upgrade?
Upgrades will cost the same for either truck but the initial cost of the truck will be cheaper for the sr5
@@TrucksandWater so I can basically make it into off road or TRD sport. Where do you usually buy those mods and upgrades? Is it easy to find?
@@CaptainFatfuk just google search. Their are so
Many companies out with parts for the Tacoma it isn’t even funny. Or watch some of my other videos
@@TrucksandWater will do bro. Do you use your Tacoma for business and work related matters too? You think flipping couches in Tacoma would be great?
Oh and the mud flaps which i added
Silver or white with black is the only way to go.
You have a nice house
Don’t think it’s his house
Bro how can you see at night
I have led headlights. And the tint you can see out no issue.
you can always pay for a color change:)
lol “it’s a girls truck”
Way over priced chap.. these trucks are way over rated grant it they are long running though but built very cheap with lot of plastic junk & the dealerships have gotten very greedy in last three decades deliberately marking prices even above the MSRP is completely outrages & I would never cave in to these dealerships prices regardless of their lies about chip shortages totally bogus story yet people bought into their marketing scam for their reasoning to raise prices significantly...
