    The FAA Drone Zone is asking for information such as serial # .. The number is on the bottom of the box and is the serial number to enter is normally with letters and numbers. That is correct that it has remote ID.
    The Fly app takes forever and sometimes even crashes. Thank you for the information. Great work, thank you.

      To those that say 'only if you earn money', wrong. The "INTENT" of the flight is determined by the FAA, in other words, they decide to fine you, you have no recourse. The Part 107 crap is a means to keep the dying FAA created infrastructure alive, at $175 per license, $5 a drone they are milking it. The 'Testing Center' PSI was booked two months ahead, someone cancel a 08:00 slot three days ahead so I garbed it. Three days of 14 hours a day for the Pilot Institute online course ($159), 200 mile drive at 05:00, passed with a 93%. The examine is a cut and paste of the standard general aviation pilot, there is little to do with a drone. They really do NOT understand using technology to fly, they just want you using a 1930 mind set. I've got numerous drones, RC aircraft, an Ultra-lite plane, and 150 hours solo time logged in a Cessna 172, never got my license since they wanted me to spend another $1,200 on their flight instructor to approve my taking the test. And they are short pilots... go figure.

    I'm going to register mine here soon, but I've read that once you register a drone as a hobby drone it can't be switched to commercial.
    So I'm afraid to register it as a hobby drone, If I ever take the 107 and try to find work my drone will be improperly registered as a hobby drone and I won't be able to change it to commercial.

    • @TheProCut17

    • @richardcarlisle6692
      @richardcarlisle6692 6 месяцев назад +2

      You don’t need a license to register under 107. The main difference is that under 107 you have to register each drone. Each drone will have a separate tail number. Under recreational, you register one time and use that number for all of your drones. There is no real downside to registering under 107 other that a separate $5 fee for each drone.

    Apparently you have no experience with drones. You are just like many others who sees this product and want to fly a drone. Flying a drone takes time to develop the skill but people like you that think I’ll just buy this drone and fly out of the box with no experience well this isn’t the case. Develop your skills in a simulator then begin in beginner mode. It’s people like that ruin the hobby by flying with no experience and make dumb mistakes.
