I talked to DJI and ask how that Speed Limitation works. It’s controlled by GPS. If the drone recognises that it’s in the EU it’s switched automatically to the slow setting and outside to the fast setting.
Yes that's correct. It's an EU EASA regulations and rules only thing even noticed in the most underrated publication of all times my little mother says 😂❤🎉
I've read that the speed limit is 19m/sec in the EU (68.4 km/h), and it's independent of CE/FCC mode. Is that true? So in manual mode the max speed is limited from 97km/h to 68.4 km/h?
The lack of a manual mode is one thing that kept me from pursuing DJI. I have never flown FPV except in a simulator like Liftoff. One more thing I have an avata 2 start with motion 3 mate
Mine doesn’t fly this fast at all wth lol I have the fpv 3 controller what am I missing. I cap out at about 35 mph
did you not do a speed test check before you tampered with the modification ..
And I would've thought having a ham radio license would I have nothing to do with it ..😂😂😂
The controller does not use goggles to fly. Antenna is now the large grey block.
Looking at the teardowns the general consensus is that the remote controller has a low power bluetooth connection to the goggles and the goggles provides the RC control link alongside the video link.
beautiful location, beatiful drone and beautiful flying. I really want one but I'd keep it on the nice and gentle for a long while. Have to say my buttocks were clenched when you were doing flips over the tree haha
Wow I’m absolutely amazed by your great FPV flying ability in this video! Wow! I just bought the DJI FPV controller 3 which I’ll only start flying slowly with after developing proper skills by practicing a lot with flight simulators before hand! I purchased the Avata 2 fly combo which is arriving in a few days! ❤️❤️ I live north of Montreal Quebec Canada where we have FCC so i know in manual mode I’ll be able to fly it super fast! I have the Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3 for almost 2 years so I’m good in camera drone flying but I know that FPV flying skills is on a much more higher challenging level! I’ll do all the proper steps to help build up my FPV skills! This will be my first FPV flying so I’m aware of the risks and the proper educational process to be able to do it!
Bro say less, I am on that same journey. Just maybe about 50 hours on the simulator ahead of you :P
Andy just out of interest is there anything you don't flog maybe you could put together a video that combines keyboards, e-bikes, radios, drones and anything i may have missed out.
Nice flying, Andy! Looks great 👌
So the fcc hack works with avata 2????????
in EU works only for signal, not speed limit :(
Why are you saying FCC Hack ?
Looks so much fun!
whno kmh?
What's the max distance???
They report over 10 kilometres (6 miles) but that’s no obstruction. I’ve had mine on the far side of a forest about 2km away with decent video quality!
If you take into account what the flight time of that thing is, 60mph is not bad.
Yes exactly!
Quick tip how to know if your Avata 2 is not speed limited: Are you using MPH -> Not limited. KPH / MPS -> Chances are it's limited.
