One of my favourite quotes, "the best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago", you have so much lovely material to work with from work you did a long time ago. Great to see as always, thank you so much for the video!
Thank you for your time showing us your bonsai skills. I have a question, I have a juniper with a long trunk which is about 2 inches thick can you airlayer a trunk to shorten it.?
I was always told, that coniferous trees should be replanted, ot root-pruned in February or early march, how do you manage to keep them alive after repotting in summer? Any secrets, or is it just California climate?
@@yuriideneha9243 perhaps it's the climate, when the difference between winter and summer is less than noticeable. In rougher climate it would be lethal for almost any plant, except for indoors tropicals 🤔🤔
You are right. It is best to disturb roots of all trees during the dormant season. I do it to do video demonstrations for you guys! I just have to be careful not to destroy too many roots. I do notice setback especially in conifers, though.
What you are planning in the future grouping should, in my humble opinion, include a third smaller/shorter tree. It would give it more of a three dimensional and pleasing look. I seem to remember you had such a third tree. Then the group will be balanced. Love the trees.
Nice work Milton always looks great
