I somewhat agree, and somewhat don't. I do think that Jeremy's voice (or rather his technique) is more "pop esque", but I have seen clips where he does sound quite "musical theatrey", and I also think he has been cast in more "pop esque" roles? I mean, the kind of voice you need for Jamie Wellerstein and the kind of voice you need for The Phantom are totally different, so it makes sense that they would sound different, if you catch my drift. But then again, there's the chicken-egg thing; is he cast in more "pop esque" parts because his voice/technique are more suited to it, or does his voice seem very "pop esque" because he has mostly played such roles? (at least that's my interpretation) Anyway, I'm not hating on Ramin here, I completely adore Ramin. He basically dragged me into the musical theatre fandom seven years ago because I fell in love with him when I watched the 25th anniversary concert of Les Misérables.
Grace Face I think this is the version he uses at all his concerts because I saw him in September and this is the version he sung and it was just as flawless
Every time I hear him sing "close your eyes, come with me.." I legit close my eyes and can feel myself being transported by his voice to the world of Jack Kelly. Jeremy is quite something
When you sing higher notes in head voice /mixed resonance, you actually need less air and but more technique so that the vocal folds vibrate faster. That’s not to say this wasn’t fucking amazing though, cuz it was haha
Same. I made all his performance videos on RUclips into mp3s and now I have a Jeremy Jordan playlist on my iPhone that I have been listening to for weeks. No one else's voice compares to his incredible voice. He's all I wanna listen to. What an amazing talent!
Attractive? Check! Sweet? Check! Outstanding singing ability? Check! God needs to make more people like Jeremy Jordan, that is when the world with be a better place
Could you imagine admiring a character all your young life, only to grow up and become who everyone thinks of when that character is mentioned??? Icons
What makes this guy standout is that he not only have a beautiful voice and high vocal range, he has genuine emotions. He always get the emotions right. You can feel that he understands the song he is singing very well. And made a strong connection to the song.

I'll be there. Just be real is all I'm asking. Not some painting in my head. Cause I'm dead if I can't count on you today. I got nothing if I ain't got Santa Fe.
I love his introduction. Right now, I'm a kid in Texas who doesn't know how to lead, but who looks up to characters like Jack Kelly so much. Jeremy Jordan is such an incredible role model.
Best advice, dont try to lead, just do what you think is right, dont do stuff to please people, only do it if you feel it’s necessary, people strive for power to boost their ego but i believe true leaders don’t want to because they understand its a complete hassle, but also is whats needed for the better of your circle, dont do stuff for your agenda but whats truly best for you pack, instead of talking, truly hear people out and make them feel special, most people put others down cuz they think its playful but watch how much people light up when you truly listen without giving them feedback too soon, so they know its not just about you making yourself feel better by talking to them but instead you hearing them out then adding your input in afterwards, people will be drawn to you because youre so kind and caring but also dont let others push you around, just know if your ego gets connected with wanting to be a leader, it’ll get toxic and you’ll do it for the wrong reasons, aka toxic leadership, which you usually see in supervisors and managers with low self esteem that take it out on employees, finally, as you get older you realize literally nobody understands what theyre doing and thats fine, we function n survive fine like that, its nothing to freak out over just cuz you fully understand it now youre older but it gives you a spot to be yourself n not listen to losers older than you telling you your dreams are stupid,
"Don't be afraid to look back to your dreams as a kid for inspiration because there might be something there waiting for you to be rediscovered - something that could change your life forever." THANK YOU, Jeremy.
I came for nostalgia, left with goosebumps and a new crush. Newsies is my childhood, and you just gave me the feels in adulthood. THANK YOU. 9Years late.
I am twelve. I sing constantly every single day. I sing Newsies. I sing Santa Fe. I sing, I sing, I sing. And, I believe that I am a good singer and I have a powerful voice. Jeremy Jordan is my inspiration. "Look back at your dreams from a kid. Cause' there may be something there." Hopefully my dream to be on Broadway, my dream to perform, my dream to do musical theatre will come back when I'm older. I want to do so much, but I can only do so much. I really do hope that I can improve and by the time that I'm an adult and I can look back on these moments and think, "Wow. My dreams really did come true."
I wonder how many people have literally moved to Santa Fe because of Newsies! As a kid, I was right there with Jack Kelly because I didn't know whether Santa Fe really existed or not (I'm Canadian). Newsies was my favourite movie as a kid and I had the privilege of seeing my local high school put it on yesterday. I'm obsessed again, this musical has my whole heart.
He really knows how to use his instrument to sell the dream. I love that he has moments where hes like holding in a laugh. Of all those whove sung this song, he really presents hopefulness and discontent really well.

Wow! I was needing those words for sure. Now I need the talent to move on...
Whenever I watched this video I feel myself tear up and relate myself so much to Jeremy because in the beginning he sort of describes me growing up, except I found out about and watched Newsies quite later on when I was around 12 or 13, but I love Newsies and I realised, when I was younger, that's all I wanted to be, confident, out going, a leader, someone to look up to, a role model, and as I got a little older, I also became more of a realist and shrunk into my shell, didn't talk to many people and was quite the loner. When I discovered this wonderful man, my life was completely changed and I realised holding onto your dreams is important and carrying them out even more so, Jeremy Jordan is one of the most down to earth, loving, kind and inspirational man I have ever seen and I'd love to meet him
Whenever I see him perform this song I cry... since the first time I saw him in New York as Jack Kelly, his performances have changed me... I don't know what it is but there's something about Jeremy that inspires me to be the best version of myself and feel like I can do anything... thank you so much for posting this
I used to listen to this song about 30 times a day (not exaggerating) and it's still one of the most beautiful and personal performances I've ever heard :)

I think Jeremy Jordan is one of the best male singer in musical theatre. He puts so much passion into performing any piece.

Freddie Miller same here he is my inspiration
Freddie Miller you'll play him in a biography movie about him
HECK YEAH BUDDY!!!
Freddie Miller Same!
I literally love him so much
As soon as he starts singing Jeremy disappears entirely and only Jack Kelly remains. Very few performers can do that out of context.
A tip : watch series at Kaldrostream. I've been using them for watching a lot of movies recently.
@James Roland Yup, I have been using KaldroStream for since december myself :)
Agreed he just kinda snapped into a completely different person
Jeremy is better at being at jack jelly than jack kelly is
Jack can't even TOUCH Jeremy X'D
Wait
(jack kelly actually wasn’t a really person btw)
Johnny Janke wowowow ok so he is like AMAZINGLY AWSOME AND HOT but cristian bale is the jack kelly just in my opinion my very strong opinion

He did that last phrase all in one breath🙌🏻
I wonder how many people have literally moved to Santa Fe because of Newsies! As a kid, I was right there with Jack Kelly because I didn't know whether Santa Fe really existed or not (I'm Canadian). Newsies was my favourite movie as a kid and I had the privilege of seeing my local high school put it on yesterday. I'm obsessed again, this musical has my whole heart.
The way he says want at 2:36 makes me convulse in the best way
He really knows how to use his instrument to sell the dream. I love that he has moments where hes like holding in a laugh. Of all those whove sung this song, he really presents hopefulness and discontent really well.
Here I am again in 2023 watching Jeremy sing his heart out and me falling in love over again lol
The speech, the face that Jack Kelly was is inspiration, the hotness, the humbleness, the HIGH NOTE! Uuuuuggggggggghhhhhhhhhh! 🤤
How can 22 people actively dislike this when there is so much emotion and talent on screen
I love his voice. But more than that, I am going through a lot right now, and hearing what he said, and how he sings this song..oh man. so amazing.
For someone who’s still in high school and terrified of being on stage but loves singing the beginning was very inspiring:)
I love how happy singing this song makes him
I love Jeremy Jordan since I discovered him in Bonnie and Clyde He always makes me cry when he sings songs like this and even though I have heard this song by him millions of times since I have it on my iPod but I still cry when he sings it

how hard i cry while listening to the opening bit where he’s talking is unreal
His passion in this song makes my heart pound every time, but perfectly connecting the prelude and the full song.. holy cow.
His face when he finishes I can't breathe
He’s literally like the best singer and actor and PERSON but so underrated. I can’t get over his voice
Okay but someone needs to write a musical specifically for him so that he HAS TO COME BACK TO US. ALSO I NEED TO STOP CRYING
He just so much passion in what he is singing
Whenever I see him perform this song I cry... since the first time I saw him in New York as Jack Kelly, his performances have changed me...
