As a relatively Intermediate artist lemme just say to all you beginners, you don’t have to do this many shapes and lines to get a body… but do study anatomy early on because it will help you in the long run (this is coming from someone that who didn’t study anatomy early on and now has to do it years later 😭)
I honestly think people should find their own ways to make a base instead of using tutorials. I personally use a triangle and circles or round shapes and that's all but I've seen people using more cubic shapes
@@tntgirl7820 the box method... Oh lord... I've seen so many professionals not recommending the boxes. Tho, if the person is training for hobby reasons, then I say it's completely free how you make your sketches.
For beginners I must say, keep in mind that the body connects to each part and its not just different pieces together Like how the collarbone leads into the shoulders or likewise, how the neck slowly flows onto the shoulders (on slim people at least) And another small tip, not a single thing is symmetric in our body, so don't torture yourself with perfection
This was a mistake Ive made a lot especially concerning the torso and the arm It's important to understand the necessary muscle groups, for example in my case when I was still a beginner I never learned about the pectoralis major, deltoid and serratus muscles so I REALLLY struggled with understanding how arms connect to the main body, and it made my art look not only flat but anatomically incorrect
The character has hips because he stole the technique from a Mikeymegamega video, where he had a tutorial on how to draw _stylized_ curvy anime characters, completely against the "realistic" body this guy is claiming.
I am a artist, and I have being drawing for 2 and a half years. This pose is very unhuman. So please don't use this tutorial. But if you want to try to get better at drawing do use shapes. It helps a lot. It helped me be how I am today. Try to experiment with your poses! :D
@@MimieBloxYeah I know, but I’m talking to beginner artist and just saying this isn’t really a good pose. If you want to be more realistic you shouldn’t use this pose, because this pose is very unhuman/odd. Sorry if it came off rude. ☆
Yep, every beginner should learn art fundamentals yes people ART HAS RULES. And you should first learn the rules of how everything work first and then you can start exaggerate/draw the body however you want, this is how all of your favorite artists got good
"full body anatomy" does not mean "realistic full body anatomy". You can draw the anatomy accurately whilst exaggerating the features. This is art 101 dude
@@pennyomega7421 Well in my opinion, this artist didn't do a good job in exaggeration and stylization. No matter what proportions a character has, there's always a balance in the shape of the body. In this case, the neck is WAY TOO SHORT and the shoulders too narrow, and then the body is long like normal. The length of the neck could have looked normal had the other parts of the body also been shortened.
@@inexistence631 everything you stated is an opinion and doesn't mean the person's drawing is wrong or is misinformation. Once again, he never stated it's "realistic human anatomy".

@@itsnottoolatetostart but this “anatomy” in the video is wrong, and I think it's also bad to teach people to draw something that you don't really know how to draw correctly
This is not for beginners, or for any artist. Real advice: skech out the head with a circle, the chest with a rectangle, and the hands with another rectangle. DO NOT use the line and circle method to map out the arms unless the hands are raised. The circle and line method only maps out the positioning, not the width of the arm, it can make your drawing stiff and lifeless. There's less things you can do when the arms are raised, and the shoulders raise with the arms, so its better to use this method sparingly. The arms are always a pain, but think of them as a triangle, (you can also wrap your fingers around your wrist and go up.) They're fat at the shoulders and skinnier at the wrist. Use similar sized ovals, and don't bent them perfectly in the middle. Elbows don't bend perfectly in the middle. I'm going to edit this later because I need get ready for something.
Let the shoulders slope a bit, the only time they’re that high naturally is if they’re raising their arms, pretty much perfect otherwise and I love how you did the torso and stomach
if anyone wants to learn anatomy and not get confused i highly recommend ethan beckers videos, he does a good job at explaining a lot of the more confusing parts of art. his videos are a lot easier to understand, unlike a lot of the “draw shape, draw shape, draw line, draw shape” advice you’ll see

Just a friendly art tip: the elbow is in line with the belly button, so the arm should be a little longer. Also, the fingertips should be halfway down the thighs 😉
Tip for beginners, trace. Go and trace pictures of what you wanna draw to get a feeling for the flow. Also sketching on top of the drawings of artists you like can help if you want to emulate their style.
Tracing can be useful for lineart and shapes, but lots of artists don't like or find disrespectful that their art is being traced so it's better to keep these kind of studies to yourself and not post them online
People need to realize that tracing basic poses and hands is fine and almost all artists do it, bruh how else u gonna build that muscle memory💀 u think I can just copy that shit with my eyes it takes practice

Honestly before you can draw you need to understand how anatomy and perspective works, for that you can look up reference pictures online and trace the joints and puppet-skeleton thing (like in this vid) and go crazy on the shapes, do different more unique body types (broader shoulders, skinnier, fat, thicc, flat, short, stubby, you name it!)
As an artist this could be better in a anatomy sense, plus the pose itself is very tense seeming. I'd recommend trying to do more fluid poses and show a full drawing of the body because just the base sketch can really confuse people ( such as me, I could ever do these cause I didn't know what the body would look like ) but this is all lighthearted!!!
the guidelines and basic shapes are good, but id change the porportions a bit so the pose would look less stiff and more natural, but bc this is probably a stylistic thing keep doing you👍
hey!! this is looking super good :D a few tips tho: your sketch here is super stiff, try not being so precious with your lines! instead of doing a bunch of little ones to create the exact line you have in mind, do a bunch of long strokes to get an idea of the shape and then go back in with a second sketch on top to refine that shape :) 2nd, id recommend having a little less curve in the spine structure. that shape would be good for a side profile, but from a 3/4 view like you have here the spine doesn't curve as much as your sketches here does unless theres something wrong with the spine, like scoliosis finally, for a more relaxed look/when youre drawing the arms down, move the shoulders down too! your whole shoulder structure is sort of like a triangle shape from the neck to the shoulders, so for a relaxed look the shoulders and neck should form a sort of pyramid shape between them your art is really good though!! keep at it, id recommend drawing from pictures of real people to help you understand the muscle structure and all that, or a live person if you can!! sending you good luck on your art journey ❤

But i would recommend a way like this and not just draw a head then the body
As long as your body is correct
Excemptions to Inner Workings-Kate😏
It all depends on you
pixar called, they want their pixar mom illustrator back
I'm an artist, and I always used to make (No matter if it's a man/boy or a women/girl) the person standing straight up, one hand behind the back, then the second hand waving, and now I draw people's faces. I hope to maybe start drawing people's pfp's (profile pictures) and ask people to give me random things and I'll draw it. This certainly will help beginners draw, hopefully you become famous one day. And everyone remember this, you're not bad at something for failing. you're great for trying. ~Olipoll (Olivia)

@@Whenwhereeverywherereplying to remind you of this hopefully embarrassing reply
@@MontCerene no but thank you
@@Whenwhereeverywhere hm, guess some people don't mature over time. You're welcome though
Good
It's soo beautiful 😍😍😍😍
Very good anatomy! My only suggestion would be to make the arms a bit longer maybe? Idk from this angle the left arm seems a bit short.
yes!
That’s probably because the video was shot at a certain angle
I think it might be how the shoulders are too bunched up, if they were a bit looser the arms might look a bit better
I'm sure it's just their art style 👌
@Æ I don't want to seem mean, but you can't cover up mistakes with art style all the time. The arms are too short and I don't think anybody wants that.
Me who has a whole damn wooden mannequin and hand statue things: THANK YOU. I NEVER COULD HAVE DONE THIS WITHOUT YOU
This is AMAZING🌝💖
the spine looks a bit broken but over all great work🙂
How are u not viral? Get this dude 1M likes
this is not correct, the person did not deserve this
@@jojojoey91 thats bc u dont know how to do it
@@skybeadsco lol what's up dude
@@jojojoey91 im just saying the truth.
@@skybeadsco its not the correct anatomy
Fun fact: this SPECIFIC video is what started my main art journey. Funny seeing it again

*easy way to draw a full body*
Step 1: make a masterpiece
Step 2: done
Very helpful tutorial, 5 star
It’s ok, no one can draw good arms or hand without practice
The art is so good 😊
man really said ‘easy’ in the title
cool except for the fact that no one is built like that and the human body is incapable of holding that pose 💀 dont give advice if you dont even understand what youre doing
its pretty easy for me to stand like that
@@Bseaz i said HOLD the pose. no one naturally stands like that unless they have scoliosis.
Exaggerated proportions exist and the anatomy may be off but you won't believe your eyes when you see those magezine covers bending their back like jojo characters.
@@sugoi694 ok? i dont like those either, in order to do believable exaggeration you need to base it in something physically possibly LMAO
@@goldenmolelover It doesn't really matter if you like it or not. Bro, live a little. And there's not really such thing as "believable exaggeration", exaggerating poses helps your art look more dynamic and interesting.
And I probably will keep arguing with you if you keep responding because I have nothing better do in and this is entertaining
You draw so GOOODDD OMG
New subscriber
it looks so stiff and uncomfortable 😭
Incredible ❤
I need these videos to a concerning degree, my anatomy is awful 💀
This won't help with anatomy.
look up proko and do figure drawing exercises! there's no quick shortcuts for this stuff. tutorials like this are way more likely to slow down your progress and limit your poses :'l
Like the others said, go look at figure drawing. Don’t use this tutorial. It won’t help at all and can even set you back.
Nise
Okey
I find this really helpful so thanks!
blud doesn't know what full body means ☠
Not to mention but the video is atleast over 20 seconds long, the limit on shorts is atleast 60 seconds (1 minute), this person could've have taken the time to draw the full base and if it really took that long they can crop out some parts a little or sped up the video a little, but they somehow decided not to
You make it look too easy🥲
this drawing is amazing!

Omg I love this it was SOOOO helpful!!
THAT LOOKS SO GOOD :D
Every day this channel is improving in quality.
Wow😱😱you draw like same 😍👍

This is gonna change my whole life tysm
There’s just something about having a character’s back arched/chest out that's just so fun to draw
