Annoyed with them?😼
Option 3 - I like the idea that there are points of interest at certain spots and one next to a door makes for a great spot to hang out and look before going into the next room.
I love that clear resin! The Victorian ghost should definitely hang out with the skeletons -- Victorians were obsessed with death. At first I thought that one plant was a piranha plant from the Mario games. If you want an interesting-shaped spaceship, check out the Defiant from Star Trek DS9 or the ship from Red Dwarf.
You need to start a project that requires hundreds of mat board triangles 😆 I think the Fairfield skeletons could certainly have a ghostly neighbor from the Victorian Era. Maybe he shows up periodically to tell them about the people who previously lived in the home. I love the HeyGears printer! My least favorite part is being exposed to the UV resin since it's toxic. I wear gloves but still end up cleaning up a lot. The feature that stops a print that's doomed to fail so you can fix it, is brilliant. You have made major progress on this huge progress. No more visible pink foam!
I definitely need a triangle project... just start gluing and see what happens😄 I agree with you on the exposure to resin! The less it's touched (even with gloves) the better! I am so glad you liked the video and the little ghost guy! Can't wait to introduce him to the skelly fam!
Every piece is an enhancement and not a distraction...you've hit a great balance. I love those adorable plants!! I think the ship display would be amazing sprinkled in all the sections, starting with 1 and then 4. The walkway and stairs are awesome! The prints from the printer are just beautiful and I want that printer so so badly LOL I'll have to convince my husband that he needs one along with a laser cutter (more incentive to clear out the garage!). Every video, I learn or am reminded of techniques to make builds more successful and I so appreciate that.
Thank you Rachael!! Interesting thought to have them scattered throughout... like maybe the Captain just installed them wherever she had room when she finished one! lol! OH yes they do take up space but are worth it for the help they bring👍 I am so glad you enjoyed the video!
I love it. The problem with the Fabri Tac Glue you had may be due to the acetone content of it. Most people don't realize it has it as an ingredient but it does. I bet the batch that bottle came from was slightly higher in acetone content than the others you've used in the past. Or if it is a newer bottle the acetone is fresher and hasn't evaporated as it does in the glue. That's what caused that glue to thicken and become nearly useless before you can use it all up, by the way. The Acetone in it has evaporated.
That makes sense! I have used it several times to glue foam to foam and it has never melted it away like that! It must have been such a high concentration of it in a small area that it reacted?🤷♀️

Yes, to the Victorian Gentleman Ghost! He is the original owner. At first, he didn't care for the 'redecorating', but then found himself listening to the best music ever. Now, he loves to rock out to "Inna Gadda Da Vida", and "Freebird".
XPS foam is the best! You can also buy it in different thicknesses. You got some great textures here as well. I've used it and the foam boards from the dollar store and built a cathedral and an inn. You can create some beautiful things.
I will definitely have to try out another thickness next time I get some. I think they have a .5 inch thickness and that may help with the process of cutting holes lol!
@@BentleyHouseMinis one more note - you can use spray paint as long as you keep it a distance away. The alcohol just needs to disipatate before reaching the foam - like 8+ inches abt? Yeah abt that. Your paint gun will work just fine.
If you ever want a column that's triangular, you can just stack and glue all those triangular pieces into a column. If you have the balcony extend to the right, I would put the spaceships at spot 3.

Great video. It changed so much from the pink board. Beautiful. I like 1 or 3 for the display of the ships. Thank you for sharing your talents. I always learn so many great things from you.
It looks incredible!! All the greebles and tiny, leftover bits make for an absolutely amazing feel!!! There are so many space ships you could choose from 😮!!! The USS Enterprise is a must have. The ship from Lost in Space and at least one of the many ships/shuttles from NASA. Any of those would be a great beginning for a modernized version of a ship collection 🤩! The clarity of the transparent resin is phenomenal!! I wonder though, like you mentioned, how it will sand out. Most "clear" items, when sanded or scuffed, have a milky appearance and no longer have that beautiful clarity. It's really cool watching the progress of the Captain's Quarters, I feel like I've been part of it's build even though I've never cut or glued a single piece of styrofoam. You have the ability to make everyone feel like they're included and involved, and that's an incredible quality that many people just don't have. Thank you for showing and sharing your world with us again! ❤️
Thank you so much Kelly!! It means so much to me that you mention feeling like part of the build! That's why I call this a channel project... it's definitely been formed and swayed by the voices of those in the comment section and that is what makes it more unique than anything my brain could create alone. Great suggestions for the ships! I definitely want a real NASA ship in there if possible!
I think that option 3 would work well. It gives a purpose to the platform in that area. It also draws the eyes up from the transportation devices, across the entire back of the ship. The back is looking fantastic. I don't have your creativity or imagination to envision what to do with the back (pink foam). I'm glad that you are so creative. You are getting better at, in the short time I've been watching your channel.
Thank you so much for that! Thank you for watching so long to see that improvement😊 Encouragement and ideas from you all in the comments definitely aided in my growth as an artist! Great point about option 3!
Ship suggestions: The USS Enterprise is a must! X-wing Fighter, Millennium Falcon, a 'classic' flying saucer would be fun, Battlestar Galactica ship, and to keep things real, a space shuttle - like that Challenger, maybe the Int'l Space Station, and the lunar lander from 1969.
You should definitely add a spaceship display and include the iconic ships ... Millennium falcon, Enterprise, T.A.R.D.I.S, USCSS Nostromo, Red Dwarf, etc... I really want to see that now😊
I'm not sure how to describe this but you could make a revolving door from a pringle type box shape like a magician would use to disappear his assistant I hope you know what I mean? So that the captain looks like she's gone somewhere 🤔 x
Love serenity! The Star Trek ships or Star Wars Death Star. A real nasa space craft would be cool too. I like the large area under the short stairs for the ship display would look nice. I think the ghost would look cute in the Fairfield. And can you do an alcohol ink wash over the translucent resin. Most alcohol inks are pretty transparent too. Loving the updates! Looking amazing!
In the UK, back in the 1970s, we had a great sci-fi series called Blake 7 and their space ship was the Liberator. That would look really good in the collection too. Area 3 I think. There is always the Jupiter 2 space ship from the original tv series in the 1960s "Lost in Space."
You did great. That panel came out smazing! I love it. It inspires me to nake one and just display it on a wall. Or something. And a touch of "Firefly" never fails!!! Edit: Wait!! On my someday/maybe never list I am making all the characters ftom Firefly in 1:6 scale...and that wall ( or something similar) would be a great backdrop. Woot!!
I have a space ship 'sampler' on my wall that I framed! It was fun to play around so I definitely say go for it! And having it double as doll display is a bonus!! That will be amazing🤩
What a huge improvement to the back of the project! I love your new little plants, too. 🥰 I like option 4 for the spaceship display. They would be easy to access and admire, but out of the way, similar to the display alcoves inside the quarters.
😮Amazing Ara!! 👏🏽 👏🏽I'm not really a sci-fi fan ... but this project is so interesting and super fun to watch😊 I thought of your Victorian ghost too..and wondered if you could print the clear pieces hollow so u could add a light inside?!? Maybe you could create the Starship Enterpise or some of the StarWars Ships for display in the collection...again not really a fan ..but those ships are nostalgic🥰💖
Thank you my friend!! I do hope I can print more transparent pieces and play with the lighting idea like you mention! I just wonder if this one is too transparent where you can see the bulb lol!
Did a Star Wars ship. Like any ship from anywhere from Star Wars. And some classic one from War of the Worlds or The Day The Earth Stood Still. Loving the Captain's ship.
Wonderful as always! Very spaceshipy looking 😊. I’m always amazed at how good builders foam and a load of off cuts can look in the right hands! I think area 1 for the spaceship collection. I like that idea as a further tie between the two areas of the ship.
Thank you Min!! I never imagined when I first started this project that there would even be a 'back of a spaceship' so it's just to try and mash them up to make sense now ;)
Love how the panel turned out!! I vote option 1 or 3... & would love to see the tardis or an x-wing in the display! 😊 & Man every time i see you make cool stuff with 3d printers it makes me want to level up and get one even more 😅
I'd love to see The Liberator from Blake's 7 in your space ship collection, and maybe one of the space shuttles for a pinch of history amongst the science fiction. I think a mix of well known and obscure would be great, so that most people would know a few, but (almost) no one will know tham all.
A great way I've found to cover lights and create a strong colour is nail polish. Jelly polishes give you a similar effect to glass paints because they're transparent but pigmented. They stick to plastic, glass, and acrylic, and they don't have any issue with the small amounts of heat that string lights or small LEDs create.
For translucent colored plastic in front of lights, I'd recommend theatrical gels. You can get them in a wide variety of colors from theatrical supplies stores or photography supplies stores. They're used in front of stage lights to change the color and they're quite heat resistant. If you aren't worried about heat (I wouldn't be with LED strip lights), you could also use colored plastic report covers (from a business supplies store, a craft store, or your local Walmart or Target). Those are easy to find, but your array of colors is less extensive. ... With clear resin, you can use translucent paints (like Badger's Ghost Tint line) to change the color after printing if you want. With any translucent miniature, I'd recommend doing some details (shadows, veins, eyes, whatever) in opaque paint. If it's all translucent, it tends to look like it has few details. Once you add in some sharp details with paint, the piece tends to look much better. Also, you can use clear gloss acrylic top coat if you want a less cloudy look for clear resin prints. It will fill in the small surface details that tend to scatter the light and give you a look more like glass. Not always the look you need, but when you want it, that technique can help.
If Stormi liked it, then it's perfect! ❤❤❤ For the ship display I would choose 1 or 3...1 seems nicer because it would be between the two levels of stairs.
Love all the updates! I was excited to see you not just finishing that “back” side but really build so much more. For the mini spaceship display, I immediately thought “space 1” but I think a few added to space 4 under the bottom stairs would be cool too. The transparent prints, especially the ghost, is very cool! The plants turned out awesome with the funky green soil. For the support marks, have you tried a heat gun? It might have to be a step before curing, not sure. Otherwise maybe a dremel with a sanding bit?
Thank you Kerri!! I hope to make a couple more ships and see what might work. Not sure how many I will be able to pull off lol! Interesting idea on the heat gun... not sure how resin reacts to that so I will make sure to try it outside if I do!
Awesome work as usual ! Option 3 looked good to me seems natural to enter the back side and have a point of interest! So fun to see you work, you are in my opinion the best out there, creative, cleaver and artistic!
A ghost living with the skeletons in the Fairfield is a great idea. I wanted to name a few ships but Ellen beat me to them all. Except the Ships from the Lost in Space movie (Proteus or Jupiter, either is fine), I think the Captain could appreciate the movie. ;p The back is going to end up looking very fine indeed. And those plants are pretty. :}
Thank you Yezzy!! I agree that the Skeleton family will welcome in our Victorian guest ghost! I am trying to keep a list of all the ships to look up so I will add this one too!
What amazing products! (one day!) Great additions to your build! I think if you just put some sharpie over the LED lights, that would work too. This is such a massive project. So much gluing, painting and drying in between!
Love the Serenity! Captains ship is looking awesome ❤ I think the millennium falcon, the death star, the enterprise, klingon bird or prey ship thingy and maybe something from babylon 5
Sweet just like the captains quarters in Star Trek where he has a display of every ship named Enterprise over the centuries, including the sea going ships on his wall😹 I am a huge fan of Firefly bought all the DVD’s as a pressy for Hubby who fell in love with the show😹😹 Love the printer and the safety of transferring the cleaning fluids, this one area that’s forgotten in the whole schema of things. I still want buy on as well as the laser cutter but it’s on hold for now. The back wall is definitely coming together looking forward to Part II of the back wall😊😊😊
I like Option 1 and 3 for the Space display! Millennium Falcon for sure should be there, or maybe a Tie-Fighter? Something Star Wars, should also be easier to find a download for. Also, not sure if it's new information, but I know that many other 3d printing miniaturists remove the supports before the curing process, Tabletop Time specifically are very good, but also use different types of printers. Not sure if it's a feature of the HeyGears that the supports are extra sturdy, because their end result seems to be?
@@BentleyHouseMinis Thingiverse awaits! After carefully sanding off the supports, dip the ghost in Future/Johnson's Klear. It's a cheap, tough acrylic clear paint... you can add colors to make lights etc. And ghosts do look best with a bit of blue... Poor Stormy... "Mommy's talking to boxes again, maybe I can distract her!"
Sometimes I can have difficulties figuring out the next step. That's why I have built 'parts' along the way, even if I don't always install them right away (like the stairs) At least they are done and when I do need them they will be ready! Thanks Cindy!

Could you maybe add the triangles to your store? I'd love to buy some. These small things are hard to cut out for me due to arthritis. Even the scraps!
I have had an idea to add miscut laser sheets to my store (I already have a good sized pile) that people could just use the shapes and sheets in random builds. I will have to work on getting that into my store. It would help me recoop a small fee on the messed up cut and people could get creative with pre-cut sheets!

Thank you so much!!
Great video. It changed so much from the pink board. Beautiful. I like 1 or 3 for the display of the ships. Thank you for sharing your talents. I always learn so many great things from you.
Thank you Lisa!! It feels great to have all of that pink foam covered up now😊
It looks incredible!!
I like option 3. The Enterprise from Star Trek next generation. Millineum Falcon from Star Wars. Puddle Jumper from Stargate.
All great suggestions!!
The old ship could have a ghost. A passenger or sailor that has stuck with the ship all the way into space.
I like the idea of the ghost. It’s very realistic.
I would think that the ship display should be in Option 1 above the stairs.
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 Oh, almost forgot: option 3 for viewing Serenity!
😊 I am glad I made your favorite first!!
Well done! I think I’d go for option 3 for the space ships.
You should definitely add a spaceship display and include the iconic ships ... Millennium falcon, Enterprise, T.A.R.D.I.S, USCSS Nostromo, Red Dwarf, etc... I really want to see that now😊
I like option 3, by the door, for the mini spaceship display.
I'm not sure how to describe this but you could make a revolving door from a pringle type box shape like a magician would use to disappear his assistant I hope you know what I mean? So that the captain looks like she's gone somewhere 🤔 x
Hmmm... That is an interesting thought!! I will think about that!
@@BentleyHouseMinis I think it would be fun xx
@@jojosmumdorothy2829 Great idea!!
@@beverlywalker8215 awww thankyou very much xx
Maybe the plants could have a glowing light effect
I might see if I can find some glow in the dark paint!
I want you to put the ghost in the Captain’s library. It reminds me of the episode of Star Trek when Moriarty was running around the ship.
I need to find that episode and watch it!
@@BentleyHouseMinis
(TNG: "Elementary, Dear Data")
(TNG: "Ship In A Bottle")
I didn’t know about this episode of Picard PIC: "The Bounty
My truck is called the Serenity. I have Wash's dinos on my dash and River is my co-pilot. (My daughter's name is River)😜
That's so amazing!!
Its looking fantastic!!! I vote for location 3 for the spaceship. ❤
Option 3, I like the idea of the corresponding ship displays!
Wow! So fantastic and creative. No wonder you have a piece in the museum of miniatures.
Thank you for the ideas!! I will have to try out some alcohol inks and see how they look!
Those triangles left from the railings might make some interesting roof shingles on another project 😊
Option 3 they would fit nicely into the box areas
Option 3. I need that 3D printer. ❤
In the UK, back in the 1970s, we had a great sci-fi series called Blake 7 and their space ship was the Liberator. That would look really good in the collection too. Area 3 I think. There is always the Jupiter 2 space ship from the original tv series in the 1960s "Lost in Space."
Jumping up and down!!! So Awesome!!! Thank you for the fabrication link!!! This takes the build to a whole new level 😮!!! Off the hook!!!!
😊😊 Thank you so much my friend!
I believe the space ship display should go in option 1, between the stair flights.
@@BentleyHouseMinis Thanks for that! I for sure will get that done- probably the same ND of the year.
I think a set of futuristic shelves with ship models would be perfect in the #3 spot option. This is looking so good!
Browncoats forever! Lovely work as always!
What a huge improvement to the back of the project! I love your new little plants, too. 🥰 I like option 4 for the spaceship display. They would be easy to access and admire, but out of the way, similar to the display alcoves inside the quarters.
Thank you Laura!! It had been too long since I visited the plant room so it was fun to add something new in there ;)
I have absolutely no interest in space stuff, but I like watching these videos of this. This piece you made is so neat!
Option 4.... More of a display area.. 😊
😮Amazing Ara!! 👏🏽 👏🏽I'm not really a sci-fi fan ... but this project is so interesting and super fun to watch😊
I thought of your Victorian ghost too..and wondered if you could print the clear pieces hollow so u could add a light inside?!? Maybe you could create the Starship Enterpise or some of the StarWars Ships for display in the collection...again not really a fan ..but those ships are nostalgic🥰💖
Thank you my friend!! I do hope I can print more transparent pieces and play with the lighting idea like you mention! I just wonder if this one is too transparent where you can see the bulb lol!
Did a Star Wars ship. Like any ship from anywhere from Star Wars. And some classic one from War of the Worlds or The Day The Earth Stood Still.
Loving the Captain's ship.
Thank you Roxanne! I will definitely need something from Star Wars!
Option 1- center stage.
& Man every time i see you make cool stuff with 3d printers it makes me want to level up and get one even more 😅
Both of those ships are on the top of my list to hopefully find a model for!! Thank you so much Hannah!
For the ship display I would choose 1 or 3...1 seems nicer because it would be between the two levels of stairs.
So cool to see all the pieces come together! Beautiful work!!
😊 Thank you!
You always amaze me with how you take common things and make something very uncommon. Thanks
Maybe an electric nail file with a sanding bit will take off the leftover connections for the clear ghost guy.
You could create the TARDIS from Doctor Who, Moya from Farscape, The Enterprise as well as the Milllenium Falcon.
All great suggestions and ones that are at the top of my list! ;) Hopefully I can find them!
Awesome work as usual ! Option 3 looked good to me seems natural to enter the back side and have a point of interest! So fun to see you work, you are in my opinion the best out there, creative, cleaver and artistic!
A ghost living with the skeletons in the Fairfield is a great idea.
I wanted to name a few ships but Ellen beat me to them all. Except the Ships from the Lost in Space movie (Proteus or Jupiter, either is fine), I think the Captain could appreciate the movie. ;p
The back is going to end up looking very fine indeed. And those plants are pretty. :}
Option 3 is what I think would be a good placement
Love the Serenity!
Captains ship is looking awesome ❤
I think the millennium falcon, the death star, the enterprise, klingon bird or prey ship thingy and maybe something from babylon 5
Option. 3. I love this project
Sweet just like the captains quarters in Star Trek where he has a display of every ship named Enterprise over the centuries, including the sea going ships on his wall😹
I am a huge fan of Firefly bought all the DVD’s as a pressy for Hubby who fell in love with the show😹😹
Love the printer and the safety of transferring the cleaning fluids, this one area that’s forgotten in the whole schema of things.
Oh this looks so good! That printer is amazeballs. You're going to have a complete blast with that. The whole ship is just is just incredible!
I like option 3 the best
Thank you Ara, you are so creative and so talented when you trouble-shoot. Great job. You make me smile 😊
Looks great! Maybe a copy of one of the Federation ships? I like space 3.
Yes if I can find a good file for one I will have to add a Federation ship! I don't think I am 3D design talented enough to make one lol!
Maybe you could add a mini tardis to the spaceship display.
We will definitely need a TARDIS!
Option 3! This looks so awesome!!
OMG Ara, you are most talented and creatively. You are amazing lady.
It's looks sooo fabulous!!👏👏 Love that reusing " trash" pieces!!!-Rock on Ara Darling!!
Thank you Olivia! Projects like this are always great for encouraging me to keep more trash pieces😄
Everything looked amazing. I love the different colours of the metal.
Would love to see Moyà from Farscape…. fab seeing this part of your build, maybe spread the ‘spaceship’ display between option 1-4? ❤🏠❤
Yes! Before you even mentioned it when you showed the ghost, I was thinking about the Fairfield.
Its so exciting to see you doing finishes and the end part of projects can be the hardest because your thought process can mess you up but not you.
Sometimes I can have difficulties figuring out the next step. That's why I have built 'parts' along the way, even if I don't always install them right away (like the stairs) At least they are done and when I do need them they will be ready! Thanks Cindy!
@@BentleyHouseMinis I agree and I need to start the finishes on the pandemic project but I have a block and since neck surgery I am so much better . This block is causing havoc and waiting on results from MRI a ct scan showed a lesion or a calcification so waiting to hear and where its at Im not sure its a small one and I dont if it controls brain function. I was building parts and stopped
@@cindyfinn4845 I hope it all goes well with you!
@@MaryGatdula Thank you Hun
Could you maybe add the triangles to your store? I'd love to buy some. These small things are hard to cut out for me due to arthritis. Even the scraps!
I have had an idea to add miscut laser sheets to my store (I already have a good sized pile) that people could just use the shapes and sheets in random builds. I will have to work on getting that into my store. It would help me recoop a small fee on the messed up cut and people could get creative with pre-cut sheets!
@@BentleyHouseMinis that would be so awesome! You could just do random packets until you run out
Great idea!!!
I like the triangular area by the stairs for the spaceship display, and I think it would be cool if they looked like they are in flight. Clear rods maybe?
Super cool work on this build Ara! I love it!
Lisa
Option 3 . your soooo talented !!!
