I really do love that ceiling and the decking and the map table and that door is gorgeous. It's nice to know you re-watch your own videos to remember what you did so things match since I do that too. The sweet kitty cat needs a cat tree and scratching post at least LOL Can't have her scratching things up in there! This is all coming together so beautifully and I can't wait for more!
It is really great to have a record of some of the things I made so I can replicate it again in the future ;) Especially when I have to make something match lol! I plan to fully spoil the Captains cat but its good to hear suggestions. I've never had a cat in real life! Thanks Rachael!

The top floor is my favorite. I love how you faded it! Super cool!. And the white paint made me think about salt water bleaching the deck.

What a beautiful ceiling. These spheres, planets, are very beautiful and decorate perfectly this part of the ship. Sailors and space travelers use the stars to navigate. This adds to the poetry and dreamlike dimension of your project. Well done and nicely executed. I am a big fan of science fiction, I Asimov, R Heinlein, P K Dick... but I must admit that I am more seduced by this old part of your creation. The last details you finished in this video are particularly well done. I love the detour of the little dressing table. The bridge, your aging of the wood is admirable. Seeing you do it seems simple, but having done it for myself, I know it's more complicated than it looks. So that it is neither too much nor too little. I usually leave this part to my husband and partner, I don't have enough confidence in myself yet.

I think the door looks great and I like the moon you chose. The ceiling looks fantastic. What a great addition to the Captains ship room. The upper deck level turned out really fabulous in the end. You said you didn't get as much done as hoped for, but I think you got a whole lot of things done! I love the door you made! And the constellation on the ceiling! I actually would mind to install something like it, in live size in my living room! Also, I love that your sister is pouring those little spheres with leftover resin! I really enjoyed this video, I love the planetarium ceiling! I also think that the roof looks so good and the map table is the cutest thing ever, it looks just like one of those old desks that opens to have a bigger workspace and can be used for storage. The doors also look really good. Good job!

This was a great update on the Captain's Quarters. Just love that ceiling. Reminds me of the solar system ceiling you could get for your bedroom. I think it is a cool addition with so much character. The top decking looks so realistic you would never know it was paper. Love that technique!!!! Can't wait for part 2. Thanks so much for sharing😍

I just think I'm in too much of a hurry as well and forget to add measurements😁 and it could also be maybe bc its not my fav part of creating.. so it gets overlooked very easily for me😂

Centauri needs a cushion in the bottom of the map book stand thingy. OR a pile of maps, rolled and flat that have been crushed with a suspiciously asleep cat indent.
He has some cushions coming for sure! He is going to be one spoiled cat lol! Kind of like the crushed idea too😄

Nice to see more progress being made on this one, Ara! I love that you're working hard to get things done. Life often gets in the way of fun stuff, and things that we want to do, but when we set aside time to do the things we want to, accomplish what we set out to do, it's such a great feeling! I really believe in you and your channel. You do such fun and creative things! Even though I'm not someone who needs a dollhouse, I had playsets as a kid, like the Star Wars Deathstar Station, and I truly appreciate things in miniature. Your channel is tops with me!

My husband and i were so impressed with this. He absolutely loved the ceiling. I told him it was just typical Ara fashion, which is always awesome.
I feel like there might be some rolled up maps stashed on the lower shelf of the map table, perhaps in an old basket? I’m a new subscriber, so I’m watching various projects all out of order, but I’m loving them all! They are nothing like the project I’m working on, but as someone completely new to making miniatures, I really appreciate the way you describe the materials you use, and include the failed attempts as well as the final results. I love the solar system ceiling! Very, very cool! 😎 The top deck turned out great, too, especially the way the white evokes sun bleaching and salt stains. I love the moon door, but Centauri will probably always think he's on the wrong side of it! 😸I had thought the map table was finished, but you worked your magic, and now it looks even better.
I am so glad that you like it all! I definitely have a plan to give Centauri plenty of access to the ship ;) I have never owned a cat before but from what I understand, they are pretty much the boss lol! This was great! I love the ceiling. It's nice to see progress on the Captain's Quarters, but then it's nice to see any of your projects getting attention. I love them all, but this one seems to really get to me.

So excited to watch since you posted the photo on FB and of course was not at all disappointed, all of it looks so well done and your idea for the decking on top is truly inspired, wow! That little map table/wash stand turned out perfectly, oh and I believe the 3 hole thingy you removed would have held pegs for towels to use after washing up ;). The planetarium ceiling is the perfect vibe and again so inspired and unique, your imagination is really something to behold. I love watching your visions come to life

If you find yourself needing another sailing ship model for one of your projects, you might want to take a look at GHQ Models. They have a line of 1:1200 scale sailing ships that are really quite nice and that should be about the right scale for at least some dollhouses. (1:1200 would be 1:100 scale in 1" = 1' and 1:50 in 1/2" = 1'). You would probably want one of the smaller models unless the model was intended to be a centerpiece of the scene.

Phew, am I glad you planned the moon door so exactly, with the added height so that it would fit the bigger frame correctly. It would have been so bad if the dimentions were wroeng... 😉Sorry about that. Nice addition though, I would certainly not spot that it was added after the fact, just looks like a part of a taller door made in the same style. 😀
While the space-ship part has been fun to watch as well, as I AM a sci-fi fan/nerd, I am glad to get to see the OG model again, even if it was only for some touch ups and addition. That being said it seems like there is still a lot to do, but that is fine. I have plenty to look forward to watching then. Good job as always. 🙂
