We use Aer Lingus for our transatlantic flights and, fingers crossed, haven't had any issues and always find the crew friendly. We'll be taking the same flight as you later this year as we do a Toronto-Dublin-Edinburgh jaunt. I prefer the old livery but the new looks alright too. We've just found your channel and look forward to catching up.
Hey Tim, great video! Looks like things have improved a bit since my last couple of trips with Aer Lingus - a few more shops open in T2 and you managed to get one of those weird-to-drink-out-of coffee things on the flight! I think you must have had a better crew than my grumpy lot too - maybe the sense of things improving has lifted everyone’s spirits a bit! Oh and thanks for the shout-out at the start mate - much appreciated. Keep up the good work, really enjoying your content lately 👍
Hey Tim awesome wee report! I prefer the traditional livery, but that’s probably just me, I’m the same with other airlines too. But I guess in reality they need to update things occasionally and keep those designers busy! I’ve often avoided Aer Lingus after hearing they are not very friendly towards vloggers, but it would certainly not appear to be the case :)
Steve, I wasn’t aware of the vlogger thing, but that would make sense given the experience I had on my BHD - BHX flight recently. Another thing to bear in mind in the future I guess 👍
Good review Tim . I like your style of presentation , no pretentious comments and down to Earth honest opinions . I agree , an airline is only as good as it’s staff , and the little things that set them apart cost nothing . I look forward to seeing more of your reviews . Best wishes from 🦘🇦🇺
Excellent video Tim. Wee question, don't feel you must answer if you'd rather not.. what equipment do you use to film? I assume its a go pro and not a mobile phone?
Hi Jamie. Cheers for watching. Aye, I invested in a GoPro last year to try to improve the content quality. I’m still working on improving the equipment I use. A few more bits and bobs will help.
It is indeed. Stobart Air operated Aer Lingus Regional flights and flew ATRs but with their collapse Aer Lingus and BA CityFlyer took on the regional routes hence the change of aircraft used.

I hope you have a fabulous transatlantic flight and enjoy your time in Scotland. I'm glad you enjoyed my video and thank you for the kind words.

Cheers Mark! I was pleasantly surprised by how cheerful the crew were, I was fearing the worst! Thanks for watching and I appreciate your kind words.

I’ve heard the same thing about vloggers and Aer Lingus, maybe i just got away with it! As always, thanks so much for watching.

Can’t believe the Northern Irish accent is still so strong, you’ve been away so long 🤣
You can take the boy out of Belfast but you can't take Belfast out of the boy!
@@Timstravels01 so true! Hope you’re keeping well, it’s been a long time x
Too long!

It’ll be a railway one but I’m not sure exactly what yet. It’ll be released in 2 weeks time. 😀
@@Timstravels01 ok
Isn’t the route usually served by atrs?
