      Safety Record does not automatically mean a total hull loss... I am not disregarding Aer Lingus's Safety record I do work as Cabin crew for them and we are all extremely dedicated to our jobs and to the passengers safety that is our No.1 priority. However if we are being real that does not mean everything will always go smoothly. For example 2005 Logan Airport near runway incursion, Aer Lingus Flight 164, 2023 Tail Strike incident probably being the most recent. However even though these things have happened most of them you can really see are not due to crew error or maintenance of the Aircraft. But there are other airlines that have had better safety records. Qantas is probably the best airline with the best safety record out there.@@TheHorsebox2

    Here where I live in Edmonton I believe all flights to the US also have pre-boarding customs is very helpful to walk away when you arrive in the US! Also, I will say border personnel in a foreign land are MUCH NICER than the ones in the US. It may be because I am from Brazil and they hate us but in general every time I did the immigration in Canada it was super easy took seconds how ever when I am flying from Brazil and doing the immigration in the US I was bombarded with questions and it takes 10 20 minutes sometimes. And even on flights from Canada, where I did the immigration in the US they were much rougher than any immigration I did for the US at a Canadian Airport.

      As a Canadian who grew up in the States and have traveled many times in and out of the US. I agree 100% with you.
      And imagine I am a White Male, Traveling on a UK or Canadian passport and at the time had a US Greencard.
      I actually found the easiest entry spots before 9-11. For myself (a white Male). Was at the Mexican border.
      The agents wouldn’t screw with anyone white and who spoke perfect English.
      That shows you how they are (for the most part) a bunch of Racist M.F.s!

    Glad you enjoyed your flight. Aer Lingus is one of the oldest airlines in existence, since 1936. It’s safety record is outstanding, 87 years, 12 accidents, one hijacking and “only” 87 fatalities. (RIP😔) it’s our world Ambassador and we’re all very proud.
    U.S. customs & immigration pre- clearance is also available at Shannon airport though it’s important to note that filming is strictly prohibited in the U.S. clearance areas and being caught could ruin your day and vacation, I strongly advise against that, once you’re through and in the departure lounge, you can go full Spielberg! Ireland is also the second largest market for commercial aircraft leasing and maintenance services, Airlines around the world trust us for our rigorous standards.
    Use Aer Lingus for a visit to Ireland and we’ll all make sure you have a great time! Safe travels.

      I worked for a large semiconductor manufacturer in Ireland and I had to take early retirement being unable to keep up with the rigourous demands of a highly regimented and heavily defined work place and conditions. While sorting out my next career step I met up with people from the aviation servicing and maintenance sector. Their tales of workplace oversight and inspection made my workplace look like free thinking libertines in comparison.
      Many of the workers were subject to endless inquiries and inspections in which a negative result could have meant instant dismissal at very short notice. Every move had to be signed off and much time was spent ensuring no mistakes or omissions were made. Not a place for an absent minded person with a low attenetion to detail.

    I have one remark tough, could you use another colour for your teksts. White is hardly readable against a licht background, perhaps you could use yellow in the future?

    Just a quick note ,Ireland is the only country to have American pre clearance at the airport, a passenger does a US immigration, operated by US border/ customs officials, in effect the area is considered as US territory. You arrive as a domestic flight, No checks done in America,

    Awesome trip report man.. Really enjoyed the video ..I have a question which i being inside me for a longtime why do aer lingus does not flights to Asia and why most of its international destinations are only in US ..Can anyone reply

    • @congresssux9766
      @congresssux9766 11 месяцев назад +3

      The relationship between Ireland and the US is way different than Ireland and any Asian nation.
      That’s the biggest reason.
      That and Americans love to travel to Ireland more so than any Asian nation.

    • @TheArthurvs
      @TheArthurvs 11 месяцев назад +4

      Aer Lingus doesn’t have that many long haul planes in their fleet. The ones they do have are enough to cover their US and Canada bound flights, which are quite frequent given the sheer amount of Americans and Canadians visiting Ireland every day and vice versa. Regarding Asian destinations, Middle Eastern airlines such as Etihad, Qatar and Emirates tend to do well servicing passengers flying out of Dublin to Asia and Australia thanks to their strategic hubs in the UAE and Qatar.

    • @Mugdorna
      @Mugdorna 11 месяцев назад

      All of its destinations are "international". Aer Lingus doesn't operate domestic flights.
      Ireland doesn't have routes to Asia as it is more efficient/cheaper to fly to a European hub (LHR,CDG,FRA,MUC,HEL,AMS) and then to the Asian city.

    • @gerardacronin334
      @gerardacronin334 11 месяцев назад

      Aer Lingus operates chiefly in the European and North American market. It would not make economic sense for them to operate in Asia.
