Just traded a late Jeep Cherokee on the CX-5 turbo version because more powah is always good. While I'm happy with the CX5 it certainly jiggles around when you give it a boot full, hello torque steer. The Cherokee felt much better, a more rear wheel drive feel, solid on the road with no torque steer.
It’s amazing how in different places in the world we get different options. In Canada you can get GX, GS and GT only. On GS and up you can get most safety features at least on CX5, on CX3 safety features are locked to the GT only. I wish Canada also got the diesel; we only have 2.0L for GS and all others are 2.5L. I agree the screen could be bigger as well, and I don’t understand why manufactures are giving a wide screen now, makes no sense to me for Navigation. A screen that’s tall is better for navigation because you can see what’s up ahead, only Tesla seems to be doing that. If Apple CarPlay comes to CX5 I will have no reason to try the CRV or RAV4 now
i bought cx5 because it was so smooth .you should see it in person its very beautiful.the only thing i misses was paddle shifter .the only car thats beautiful in mazda line up
Mazda Canada has confirmed that Apple Carplay and Andriod Auto are coming later in 2018. 2018 and earlier models can be upgraded at the dealerships to include Apple Carplay and Andriod Auto. I expect that it would be the same in Australia and the US.
Is there a source for this? I have the 2016 CX5 GS with the same entertainment unit as the new CX5s. I love the knob to control the screen, no finger prints. I forget it’s a touch screen because who wants fingerprints on a screen
No Android Auto/Apple Carplay is an absolute dealbreaker. Also the fact that Mazda officials have been blatently lying about it "It'll come in a few months..." for years.
Nonsense review. Just because the reviewer isn't aware of the changes doesn't mean there isn't any. Mazda says there are over 200 changes in 2018. The very first thing a brief google search turned up: www.cars.com/articles/2018-mazda-cx-5-whats-changed-1420698043903/ Sound deadening is a huge one. Don't listen to this guy that you can barely hear. Also, it really grinds my gears to constantly hear everyone compare this vehicle's cargo space to ones that cost 10K more. I really wish all these reviewers could just review whats there and not mope about whats not.
logitechmk350 I respect you for having your opinion but perhaps you need to learn more about the reborn Alfa. If you had said German twin, may be BMW is a match, but you said European and than German brands in the EU :)
Japanese = Simple, ethical and reliable German = Sophisticated, refined , luxury The bridge to german and japanese is Volkswagen Vise versa it is lexus
Japanese... ethical? Mitsubishi emissions scandal? Takata airbag scandal? German = austere and brute. Not sure how you associated "sophisticated, refined, luxury" only to them, and how VW is possibly a bridge. Unreliable cars and unethical engineering. Last but not least, it's "vice versa" ... not that your Lexus reference makes sense either.
I'm with you Alireza and I meant to point this out in the video. Yes it's not a sports car, but paddle shifters add a little more engagement to the driving - I'm a big fan of them on any car. Richard Berry
Lol hahaha just drove my sister in laws and this engine has no balls. Revs like it doesnt know what revs its in. I thought my nissan quishqai was a slug. Now i know ill stick to the refined beautiful drive of a VW .
One of the most popular vehicles in our showroom. Great video - thanks for sharing!
Mazda Cx-5 absolutely stunning SUV.
The landscape helps a lot! And personally, red is the most beautiful color for cars! A little bit more serious, but, again, an awesome review!
Thanks D J. Yeah that Soul Red is pruuuuty. Richard Berry

Marcin Kawa volvo
I think it looks a lot better than the previous version even though there weren't that many updates

Yup - I agree paddle shifters would be good. Richard Berry
Does Apple CarPlay come with the 2019 model????
Who is richard berry
Great review!
Thanks mate. Richard Berry
Great review Richard.

JCA for an additional cost on top of the top of the line optional stereo. Paying twice.

Once the 2.5T engine comes to the CX-5, I'll trade in my 2017 KF GT
Don't think it ever will, and don't think a family car needs a turbo.
FlameNGames not for the speed, but torque. Try living in the hilly suburbs of melbourne or seat 4 additional adults or both.
That's why they have diesel, high torque, high speed at low rpm and it's turbo.
FlameNGames that's why I have regrets hahaha
@@user-oe1nt4pp8n lol its here now
Love mine.
My parents own one! I love it. We got AWD Grand touring with a package (forgot which one).
for US... GT trim only has 1 package which is the premium package.
ABC Yes that's the package.
I have a low hanging garage door ,only 70 inches, will it fit ?
@richard berry : vw Tiguan 162tsi or cx5 Akera ?
VW u will realise how ahead the car is in the way it drives so smooth with its twin clutch transmission
No Android Auto/Apple Carplay is an absolute dealbreaker. Also the fact that Mazda officials have been blatently lying about it "It'll come in a few months..." for years.
They've added it with a software upgrade, but it's being rolled out slowly

Would have been perfect if equipped with Apple Carplay and/or Android Auto.
Well, they have AC and AA now on the CX-5.
Europe : BMW = Japan : Mazda
logitechmk350 no, Mazda's European twin would be Alfa Romeo given their sensual styling and almost niche branding.
nes suno Alfa Romeo has very old style and minim of technology

Actually 54k for akera
This guy is so dramatic 😂
I know! I can't stand him. Richard Berry
I wish Mazda had added paddle shifters behind the steering wheel in this update!
Alireza Ahmadvand it's not a sports car
Its a gimmicky useless toy....
Alireza Ahmadvand buy a car

I got hyper just watching this. So rushed
He looks like Logan...! 😮
Ha! Yeah I'm constantly accidentally slashing apart the upholstery of cars I drive. Richard Berry
carsguide Haha ! Lol
Wished they would have changed those ugly ugly wheels and add a 2.5L turbo engine option. This is a heavy girl now with all that sound insulation
They aren't the best looking wheels. Richard Berry
Lol hahaha just drove my sister in laws and this engine has no balls. Revs like it doesnt know what revs its in. I thought my nissan quishqai was a slug. Now i know ill stick to the refined beautiful drive of a VW .
Is I the first?
I don't think so. ; ) Richard Berry
DIESEL all the way biatches
Он люфтованный ? Через чур корма при поднита
Вы называете меня толстым? ; ) Richard Berry
carsguide No. Я про машину
Ах! Является ли автомобиль тяжелее, чем раньше? Нет, машина весит то же самое - почти. Richard Berry
Man don't review another Mazda that's it don't do it
Huh? Richard Berry
