Good review. I'm driving a 2016.5 CX-5 which I purchased new. I'm very happy with it. Agree with everything you said. It's a base model, so no leather, no AWD, no Bose. Don't think AWD is important in L.A. It's holding up well with 115k miles on it. No major mechanical problems. The power window switches on the driver side started acting up about 6 months ago. I replaced the entire bank of switches myself. The part was inexpensive, and I enjoyed doing the work. I did it by taking the door apart following RUclips instructions. In theory it can be done by only taking the cover off the switch panel. I didn't find that video until I had finished the repair. But I learned a lot by taking the door apart. If I had to find something to complain about with my model, it's that the sound insulation could be better. Road noise is too loud when driving on freeways. @@momobandicoot3757 not all CX-5s are built in Japan either… make sure the VIN starts with a J - those are the good ones!

Are you driving straight up a mountain? Lol
I get 25mpg combined and mine is the 2020 CX-5 Signature with the turbo. And yes, I use premium fuel.
