As smooth as changing from second gear to third gear. Superior pilot, superior airplane, superior landing. Captain Boeing always engages in the best landing ever because he is a superior pilot and anticipates any problems that may arise. An under prepared pilot is not prepared for all potent problems. Captain Boeing is always ready for ANY possible situation in the landing sequence. Love him today and always.

I still remember the first publication in a Dutch magazin about the 747. I was in love with this plane and still am. I live close to Schiphol airport and still they come over. So Beautiful to watch it.
It was in the 2nd half of the 60s, I read about this majestic jumbo. Since then I have taken the jumbo flights ✈ on many occasions to traverse the world. Always it has been very comfortable and great flying with the 747s.

I rarely fly but a couple of times once the plane had landed everyone stood and applauded the pilot/copilot just to express 'thanks for the safe trip'....... very cool!!!
I have been binge watching anything that has to do with airplanes for months now. It takes a special kind of person to even have the nerve to WANT to transport people, let alone knowing that their lives are in their hands. Pilots deserve more respect than what they get. I certainly appreciate the crew and tell them so if I have a chance when disembarking, they got me there safe!! Taking another trip soon, can't wait because I love to fly!! Props and kudos to ALL of Pilots and Co-Pilots (even the cabin crew for taking shit off of people, you don't deserve that either)
For all it's mass the 747 is very buoyant. It took a while for pilots to get used to this. It can also perform a perfect auto-land. It was my favorite aircraft to fly on. Triple redundancy systems, plus 4 engines. Briefly the flight engineer inputs the flight plan waypoints on the keypad and it pretty much flies itself to it's destination.
