    I can’t wait to try this. Question: do I have to do double yarn? Only reason I ask, I don’t have two skeins of the same color and I’m trying to avoid a trip to Joanns.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  3 года назад

      Nope, you can use whatever colors you want. You can also change the yarn size to a sport or DK and still use the same hook size.

    I really like your pattern. Was wondering if you used double yarn for texture in the pattern or for size of yarn?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  5 лет назад +3

      Thank you! I used double yarn to make it thicker. That yarn is a size 1, so it’s really thin, and they don’t make it in thicker sizes. It’s one of my favorite yarns, so I adjust the size by doubling or tripling it, depending on how thick I want my project to be.

    The pattern is so pretty. I do have a question. On the 2nd row, there are to ch that were skip, when go back to do the crossover triple crochet which ch to do first?
    And why don’t we work the hat in circle instead of the straight rows then sew them together? Thanks for your tutoring.

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you! On that second chain you asked about, you triple crochet on the post closest to your hook first. So the one on the right (if you're right-handed) first, then the second post (on the left).
      You can work the hat in a circle, however, I found that it would have been much to difficult to show on camera since the posts get a little difficult to see. In order to make it easier for a tutorial, it was just easier to make the square pattern, then sew it closed.
      I made a slower-paced version of this tutorial where it's easier to see how to cross over the posts. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/3QRLLYxSNUE/видео.html
      Give it a try, and let me know if it helps?
      Thank you!!

    Have you tried to do it in the round so you don't have the seam ?

    • @ModeBespoke
      @ModeBespoke  5 лет назад +1

      I have, and I wrote a blog post on how to work a Celtic weave in the round, it is just a little too difficult to film and properly show on camera. It’s also a little easier for folks who are not as experienced, or have not worked a Celtic weave before. So I went with this instead so more folks could try it. 🤷🏽‍♀️
      The post on how to work the stitch in the round is available at: modebespoke.blogspot.com
