People take advantage of customers they assume are poor and also uneducated. They probably would not have pulled this if she was paying with a cashier's check or money order. Cash payments are harder to prove.

He's such a liar. There's been some dodgy business going on at his place for sure. He's repossessed her car even though she's fully paid up, and he's lying about her not paying. Travis is his problem. She paid his business colleague and has receipts and an email to prove payment, so the guy should give her all her money back and apologise.
