When i comes to car salesmen, write EVERYTHING they say to you in the contract. If they refuse, walk away. If it's not written, it doesn't exist. Never trust them.
You aren't writing the contract. They are. As JJ has told us many, many times, if any changes are to be made to the original contract it Must be amended in writing and signed by both parties. The contents inside the four corners of the contract are the only thing that matters.

I think plaintiff is confusing payment plans versus just giving money anytime she can or is able. It’s not sinking in, payments are due on a schedule, if you miss it there is a penalty.

@@Nan-59Credit unions are way better than a bank. I recall when the banks tried to fight to prevent credit unions from doing all the things banks do. Big commercial banks are scams. I’ve worked in retail banking for years as a Personal Banking & Asst Branch Mgr. The mounds of paper work we would send a customer through for a simple car loan was ridiculous.
when i was buying... i set up the loan with the bank/credit union 1st. My CU actually had a buying program. if you wanted them to shop around for you. no BS, no bidding war, no hassle.

Maybe someone with more expertise can explain to me why he would do this deal if they agreed on the amount of the deposit, and she didn’t have enough. Why not subtract the amount she did have from total and finance the rest? If she is struggling to come up with the full deposit then she likely won’t be able to simultaneously pay the note and finishing paying the deposit. This sounds sketchy.
Some of them _want_ you to default so they can take back the car and repeat the scheme on another customer.
First, plaintiff decided after signing the agreement to change the payment date. Then did not make the agreed payments. Never buy a used car if you cannot afford the payments.
