Yessss.....so we had my sister's wedding at Afrikiko resort at Akosombo....I took a drive around the town and OMG....I just fell in love... Clean, organized , good roads....nature rich...just mention it....will love to own a home there where I can go relax..
I was born and raised here. My grandmother moved to Akosombo and lived there for over 70yrs before she passed in 2020 at age 102. My whole family lives there. I am working now in Volta region and I sometimes miss there. Its a beautiful and quite place to live.
Please show more of these towns! I am African American and I am looking for small towns like these to buy land and live permanently. I became very excited about this video because it showcases what Ghana offers other than Accra. I do not like large cities, I dealt with in America. I want to live in a small town or rural area of Ghana. Can you also include the institution of how to buy land in the Volta River Area or any other area you visit ? That small town seems perfect for someone like me.
Check out Migrating Cultures on youtube. They're building a sustainable estate especially for African Americans in the somanya area about 1 ½ hours aside Accra.
I saw the town from the Volta hotel and thought it was a school campus because of the uniform building built in the 1960s style which i find very attractive.
My type of video. I'm interested in areas across Ghana outside of Accra, Kumasi and Tema. I've convinced myself and now hopefully some business partners that Ho or somewhere in the Volta region would be perfect for an amusement park.
The wli waterfall in the Volta region is the tallest in West Africa and a BEAUTY. But 8t doesn't get the patronage it deserves, being far from Accra etc. If you can direct tourists there, you'd do well
Akosombo is in fact a very well planned and beautiful town owned by VRA for its hydroelectric power plant workers. There are hundreds of foreigners such as African Americans and Europeans living in the Akosombo- Senchi area permanently.
Akosombo seems like a nice quaint place. It certainly has a lot of beautiful natural scenery. 👍 Of course, it wouldn't be a West African market without a West African Auntie. LOL
Akosombo , Eastern region has always been the best place to live in Ghana especially the Aburi metropolis. What makes Akosombo so Appealing are the lakes and the rivers
@@hro8899 i visited Ghana’s Volta region and Akosombo specifically and never saw a mosquito in August of 2018. The high temperatures were in the low 80s at most
I agree this area and drive is so picturesque and calming. We pass through to the village and always stop by. Great to see the road is almost complete when we came in April it was underway. Would love to see more of this. When we finish our house build I will rarely go into central Accra Ghana has so much to offer.
Great video Jasmine,I too would like to know more about Akosombo. I visited there in December and fell in love with the beautiful scenery. I went to Dinner at Bridgeview and also I did Abseiling along the river off some cliff. The views from The Bridge view resort of the Adomi bridge and surrounding landscape is truly amazing.
Thanks jasmine, am just overwhelmed that we have such a beautiful and tranquil town in Ghana, thanks for sharing, am waiting for the next episode, bless!

Very impressed with the tranquility of Akosombo and it's one of my favorites in Ghana. Definitely will be considered if and when I decide to relocate from the States. Thanks.
Really loved this video! Glad you showed another option to those in the US wanting to move, besides Accra This town seemed so peaceful and quiet. Would love to see more videos of this town 20:25
I'm surprised that you have never been to Kwahu district since you moved to Ghana 🇬🇭 and explore Abetifi Kwahu area and I understand you hail from that area. From Washington DC with love ❤️/Obomeng Kwahu.

This was a lovely introduction, now seeing the surrounding area with homes available land etc, would be great especially for diaspora's that want that type of peace to live and grow off their land. How far is it from Accra? Is there a shopping district there besides the market?
Hi Jasmine. You have just been the best with showcasing Ghana over the years. Please let me know how I can donate to your channel. You are truly an inspiration.🥰
Jasmine, is the guy still selling the land for 15,000, and he gives a discount of 2,000. Thank you for doing so much to help people make the transition to Ghana. 👌
He is the one selling land on a mountain in Ghana. He also said the land was selling for $15,000, but he would only give your subscribers a $2 ,000 discount...only because we are your subscribers. This might further help to remind you...He said he would sing "good morning" to you each morning, and you replied...that's okay, I don't think that's a good idea! lol 😄 You both chuckled after that.
