The price of hotel rooms in Ghana are crazy. I even heard that some tourists who come to Ghana travel to Lome in Togo to lodge there every night whilst touring Ghana. The hoteliers should convene a meeting and reduce their crazy prices drastically. Some hotel rooms in The States are even cheaper than hotel rooms in Ghana. Crazy!
It's crazy! I just found out that this area is home of the Akwamu people. Oh goodness! I am connected to Akwamu people. My maternal ancestors came from the Akwamus who settled in the Akwapim Mountains. The Akwamus went to the mountain to fight a war, and after the war some of the warriors remained on the Akwapim Mountains. My Akwamus ancestors were brought to Jamaica during the slave trade. When I visit Ghana, I would love to visit the palace of the king 👑. It's such a beautiful place. I can't believe I have roots at that place. Oh God! I am feeling emotional!
Gorgeous 💖 truly amazing. Very pricey, but for westerners and diasporans like me aching to visit the land again we can make it work... probably just won't stay more than a week, and stay somewhere cheaper the rest of the time.
Beautiful resort but the road upto the resort and getting around the place is treacherous. The concierge drove you around in the resort itself on horrible roads. But thee place is beautiful, even though I'm talking about roads, I truly love the resort itself. ❤
I really want to support Ghana and its emerging tourism sector. However, the prices of rooms are too high - no need to be so. Also, there must be price regulation.
Hey Jasmine ... fantastic resort. I was getting dizzy on the canopy walk, just watching on my phone, well done for completing the canopy. Not cheap, but high end, both rooms and chalets are very well presented and spacious. Thanks 😊.
I literally never considered Ghana cuz it reminds me of Atlanta in America where all the people go to do nothing. However after watching your last I literally was intrigued by this place it would actually love to live in the town. After this video though I have a lukewarm feeling because of all the resort's but it's still a great place. That Chief ownership sound suspect but anyway.
Ive been here a few times, this complex is amazing. Purchased land down the road from this resort. The road has been widened and is "supposed" to be paved at some point.
So I just started following you as of this post and I truly thank you for the videos that I've seen thus far. The Resort looks absolutely beautiful!! Perhaps they'll recalculate their prices a little per night and my family and I could visit from the States. 🇺🇲
Love the video. Beautiful views and nice resort. I would love to connect with you. Arriving in July for 90 days hopefully longer if I can get a work visa.
Helloooooo beautiful African Queen/sister 😍 🤩 I just stumble upon your blog and I really enjoyed and loved it. Especially the food and the warmth loved from people 💕 Sending love ❤️ to you from Houston Texas USA. I am a Liberian/American living in Houston Texas 🇱🇷 🙏🙏🙏 Hopefully I get to visit Ghana 🇬🇭 someday and get to meet you 🙏 ❤️ God bless you and thanks for sharing our beautiful African culture with the world 🌎
Just a tip for people who still haven't figured it out. The reason the prices don't make sense is because they are selling things in dollars under the guise of cedis. When they say 2700 cedis, that's just whatever the converted rate it, the owner is really saying to you they are selling it for 219 dollars. None of the calculations Ghanaians are making anymore is in cedis, don't be fooled. Of course this is pure greed and avarice trying to get paid at the same rates at a nation neither you nor the majority of your would be customers live in. China's economy is a million times bigger than the entirety of Africa and average rent there when converted to dollars is between 300 - 600 dollars. Meanwhile Ghana with no industries is charging 2000 dollars for subpar wannabe western apartments. lol.
Thank you for speaking truth! I've been watching RUclips videos on Ghana since January 2022 and at least 85% of diasporas and Ghanaians confirmed what you spoke. I'm from America but have been led by the Almighty to get ready to go back home. But according to many in the videos, within like 1-2 years, housing prices has gotten out of control in Ghana.
Lovely resort, the price per room is way too high for a standard room how much for deluxe..lol. At least $80 -100per night at the highest. Considering it's not near airport.
Damn most of us expats can afford a night there if we desired but with that kind of price the average working Ghanaian can only dream of a night there. Nice place and surrounding.
Helloo i just subscribed to this channel. Good job Jasmine, i wld be moving to the continent soon. Hopefully i can stay in one of these places. I might need your help.
First time hearing of this resort.I know of other resorts around the Akosombo area. The MINISTRY OF TOURISM and the GHANA TOURISM BOARD are NOT doing ENOUGH to MARKET and PROMOTE NEW RESORTS.
@@JasmineAmaa because of you, I am planning to visit Ghana. I hope to be able to meet you in person as it’s all because of your videos. You are an inspiration.
220 dollars for a standard room. Regardless of how appealing something in Ghana is, there is almost always an element of pure mindlessness associated with it that completely turns you off. Granted the place is nice but charging that much for a night is even out of reach for middle class people from rich western countries. I guess the people who build these resorts only have their equally rich friends and cronies in mind as the target patrons. Unbelievable.
Africans lack business mind and there is no one to advise/tell them.Only twenty percent occupancy yet the price is that ridiculous. The last time l was in hilton hotel here in England l paid 80 pounds for a standard room per night. But my point is even if the rooms are free and customers pay for drinks and food they'll probably be making more money, steady and constant cash flow from the foods and drinks instead of empty rooms,no customers due to price.Ten pounds a night for example multiply by 80 rooms is 800 pounds daily, every night, better than empty rooms and a ghost environment. Most importantly,it will generate more indirect employment for the locals due to constant visitors.Nice one jasmine!Thank you.
Jesus died on a cross for us, so that whoever believes in Him will go to heaven (John 3:16). We are only saved by grace (Ephesians 2:8). Confess your sins and believe in Christ, and you will make it to heaven (Acts 2:38). God bless you all! (feel free to ask questions or scroll if these bother you)
200 dollars a night is absurd. That's over a 1000 dollars if you want a week getaway time with your partner or family. Its Crazy! And I don't know why these resorts and hotels are so obsessed with charging in dollars whiles we spend cedis in the country. The president has spoken countless times against it but still these people won't stop. Why won't our cedi depreciate against the dollar? I don't blame them. All they think about is their pockets and the insane profits they'll be making
What a freaking joke for the prices listed, LOL!! Tourism can be an insane source of revenue anywhere that does it right. Places like Las Vegas alone generate as much, if not more, than the GDP of Ghana! Places in South/Central America, Asia, North America and Europe will continue to take the lion's share of the "regular" tourist market as African businesses continue to overvalue what is offered. I bet those rooms are often left unoccupied for many days in the year. Go watch videos of pricing in such places and compare the value.
Love how #LadyJasmine👑 ask the right questions," Who Owns It?" That's important to us in the diaspora.

I concur. Maybe they should have prices for locals. This is truly beyond the means of many Ghanaians.
Miss Ivy, be smart as I know you will be and do some research with like-minded individuals in support of this beautiful country. Wishing you Well
