    So great to see you back on the road Warro! The red chrome is one tough looking dirt machine. The beauty about the classic 350's are they have a low centred weight. Not top heavy. Great for us old blokes!
    Enjoy!

      thanks, i was really only out today to try that trick of running the camera from the top of the crash helmet. never used any of the footage but is was good apart from the wind noise. easy to score angles too as i use the optional extra watch when purchased to see whats in the camera. so i look at picture in watch on handlbars and adjust the helmet camera...very easy!
      these tyres work great too. was able to sit it on 80 kph on one section of dirt. very stable too.
      seat hight has increased about an inch but looking back to when i had that suzuki drz400e -all bikes are low...lol
      all the best!

    I've already used the playlist twice Warro. Once for removing the seat and I've watched the gear lever change over to heel and toe shifter. I'll hopefully get the heel and toe shifter done tomorrow along with the crash bars so I don't have to remove the bolt on the down frame twice. Cheers for all of your information and work.

    Warro black guards look good, the nobbies look great but I'm obsessed with that blue one you had haha. How's the crickets and frogs out in that bit of lovely bush.

      that area was once the pine forest but those pines were cut down say 18 months ago. new pines in and starting to grow, further along the track what was once bare hills now have a spash of colour.
      i heard a few birds while i was there. maily crows and you know how they call.....lol

      Yeah I like that Halcyon Grey 1950's pastel blue colour scheme magnificent.Those new Aurora Meteor 350 colour scheme's look good too & they have a bigger fuel tank.

      @@ruahinesrider at the moment i have not ruled out a classic 650. that will depend upon how it looks in real life and does it go close in body lines to the original.
      guess time will tell there but i will be watching...lol

    I imagine those tyres are less likely to puncture out there in the rough. Thorns are a problem on my mountain bike but it's easy to repair those tubes.

    • @ridewithwarro
      @ridewithwarro  Месяц назад

      thorns no issue this way i think its more possible to score a nail. both tyres are tubeless so thats good and i have purchased a couple of tyre plugging kits should i require one urgently
      all the best!

    Since you seem to do quite a bit of riding, and I don’t think you’re the type to bullshit anyone, let me ask you. How do you think the Classic would do on a long tour, roughly 9000 miles? Would you trust it? There’re obviously better machines out there, but I think it would be fun to take a small bike across the country. But not if it was going to break halfway.

      how far per day do you think you'd travel and at what speed

    • @elwood62
      @elwood62 Месяц назад +1

      400-500 miles a day. 65mph tops, no freeways. Wonder if could take the stress of running 8-10 hours a day for 3 weeks or so. And would I have to adjust the valves roadside on my return trip lol.

      @@elwood62 Sorry to butt in here. There's a video here on YT about a man and his wife traveling 9,630 miles in 90 days down from Cape Town to Cairo. The bikes they used were 200cc Chinese made. One thing that stood out was that every man and his dog owned a similar bike, which meant parts were very easy to find, along with plenty of people who knew how to fix them. Point being, any bike can be used for touring, some do it better than others. Cheers.

      @@dashamac I do appreciate the input. Unfortunately in the US parts for Royal Enfields can be hard to come by, even at the dealerships. Countless people take Honda 125’s around the world, but I haven’t come across anyone going cross country and back on a Classic 350.
