Just to let you know. I have fitted the GRT720 panniers to my 450. I have ridden 500+ miles in past 3 days. There is no issue with heat from the exhaust. The temp on both bags is identical after 150 non stop run. So happy happy! They look fantastic.
That's a very interesting feedback thank you! Have you also tried them with a passenger? Maybe the weight of someone in the back could get the bag closer to the exhaust
@@guidoguida8875 I haven’t, but I loaded up with tents and camping gear. Cranked up the preload and all was fine. The bags are outside of the exhaust, so they wouldn’t touch.
@@HitchcocksMotorcycles Last post on this. I have ridden a further 500 miles with the panniers, the one over the exhaust doesn’t seem to even get warm. So my testing is done! 😃
There are a couple of posts in the RE owners forum where 450 owners are using the Canyon GRT720 panniers and advise that the exhaust heat hasn’t caused any issues for them. I would still like the Hitchcock solution though.
Derek, nice presentation. What I love at HMC is their love to the brand Royal Enfield. They are offering solutions developed by themselves. They know what bike riders looking for. Compare this to HD, you will find parts not as useful as they should be, partly with low quality and extremly overpriced. I wish there were more companies like HMC. Ride save and regards from Austria.
I have the Givi Alaska 36L with the Monokey frame on a Moto Morini X-Cape. Good that these panniers are universal with the Monokey system. Thinking of getting a Himalayan too. The Alaska would look very good on the Himalayan.

Hi. You mentioned you are working on a solution to allow the use of the Canyon bags on the 450. Do you have any ideas on when you may have something available. I will be needing some panniers soon and would love to get the mounting, bags and any exhaust solution from Hitchcocks. Thanks.
I have used the givi dolomite on my Himalayan 411 across 7 countries and 45000 km, ou guys sent the boxes to me in Indonesia several years back Can u advise how to take the top box locking mechanism off the old frame. I assume the two circular caps are covering bolts.?

What a well presented video..!
Only the Canyon bags look good on the 450. Who wants ugly plastic boxes? There must be a simple solution to install exhaust guards onto the frame.
Just need the low seat now ?
Hi Derek ace video👍 what is the Hitchcocks part number for the fitting kit to convert the monokey system to take the 36litre Dolomiti case ?
Excellent video. What about luggage options fot meteor 350 cheers

I wish Givi did a soft clip on expandable case.

Curious if you guys are planning any performance parts for this bike, like a decat pipe and better silencer. Cheers.
Yes, these are all items we plan to offer in the future for the 450 Himalayan
Less is more.
