Hi Igor, Miles has written your 350 does 135 kmh on the speedo. But what about the 114 kmh speedlimiter ?As far as i know every 350 Meteor and Classic has this limitation.Have you been able to remove it?
      Greetings from Germany 🙋

@@nedflanders4699 Hi there! I think Miles was able to get to 135 on a seriously downhill section of the Highway! :D
I'm unable to push it past 114 on a level road, it's slow and once you accept that you'll be cruising, it makes it easier for you. :)

    Two years with my classic.
Had a Kawasaki Vulcan VN900 custom cruiser .
The 350 is twice the bike.
Not quick but more soul and character than nearly any other bike currently on the market.
And the best retro out there.

Been riding for 54 years and my Classic 350 is my current daily rider. This is by far the best overall bike I have had. Traded my GS 310 on it and the build quality is hands down Honda quality. Had a W800 and the Classic 350 surpasses the riding experience of the W. Highly recommended!! Great video thanks!!

Welcome to my home country Serbia! :) Enjoy your stay and hospitality. I had RE Classic 350 for some time, it was chrome red queen. :) I sold it unfortunately because I had no garage at the time and I wanted something a bit stronger and I could not afford two motorcycles. Man I miss that bike. I tested over 50 bikes and that 350 is still for me one of the best bikes I have riden, power aside, just the feel that bike gives you is something special, relaxing, stress eater, and like you said is fast enough I don't now how, the gearing is perfect, even better then om my current moto guzzi V7 classic. Even with my wife on it, and we are not light people :9 it goes 80-90km/h easily, like I was driving my self.

Thanks gents for a really enjoyable, laidback look at the classic 350. I’m limbering up to buy my first bike and trying to decide which one to go for has been beyond me until now. I’ve flirted with the Interceptor , the GT 650, the Super Meteor the Shotgun, the new Himalayan, the new baby triumph’s and even the MT O3 , but thanks to this video I think I have come full circle back to the Classic 350. I think it’s a simple and fun way of getting into Motorcycling without breaking the bank.

My Classic sits alongside my Ducati Monster 937 in my garage. But despite loving it, the Monster hasn't turned a wheel since I got the Classic. Yesterday I explored the back roads and lanes of the Peak District National Park on my Classic. It's absolutely the perfect bike for days of exploration. I took a seat and camping stove and chilled out with a view over the Hope Valley having a coffee and 'pain au chocolat'. Only on a classic!!!

Regarding the ntermitent instrument cluster blinking out, Royal Enfield uses a thick white lithium grease in all of the electrical connections, such as relays behind the side cover and the electrical plugs inside headlight bezel. I have watched other owners disconnect these plugs and carefully remove this grease with a fine pointed tool. Doing this, along with using contact cleaner. most often resolves your problems.

I have a new ‘24 Bullet 350. Currently in the middle of a three week holiday in Canada 2,700 kms one way Saskatchewan to Southern Ontario. Bike a got 74 uk-mpg on windy days doing 102 kph on the prairies and 89 uk-mpg doing 95 kph through Northern Ontario. Have been able to get 103 uk-mpg riding around the Muskoka’s doing 80-90 kph.
Heading back home next week via the USA below Lake Superior.
Surprised at how well the suspension handles bumps while loaded with my luggage. Hasn’t used any oil and the chain maintained its tension to this point without needing adjustment. But probably will before I get back.
Overall happy with its performance so far, only add-on I did is the DNA intake.

I've been riding about 50 yrs and I'd still luv one of these. One of my favorites to look at for sure. My problem is I ride a lot and 3k maintenance intervals are way too frequent for me. If RE ever figures out hydraulic valve adjustment, I'd have one for sure, if only to ride about town. I luv the comfy passenger ergos for my wife, but I wouldn't feel safe riding on faster roads with this with her on it. People are too quick to anger these days. They'd probably run us over for going too slow.

    • @andytopley314
      @andytopley314 7 месяцев назад +2

The 3k 'service' is actually just an inspection that is about what I would do every 1k. Oil and valve checks are at 6k. You should check out Coastrider Scotland 10k owner review.

Even washed out and threw myself in a ditch. Damn good time. But i can't deny my frustrations going uphill or even on even roads with strong winds. Won't go past 49-52 mph in 4th or 5th gear. Even so, adore this motorcycle. Makes me wanna keep going.

I have the classic 350 in Matt grey, can confirm it is always fun to ride. I've had big bikes (bandit 12) and smaller 125/250s. This 350 is the most fun and comfort I've had on a bike on any ride.
Recently added panniers and a windshield to do some touring. Will pull 72mph on the motorway but is happier at 65 which is enough to get you to where you're going but when you get there you're on a fun bike to explore

I bought a Meteor 3 weeks ago. It can be your first bike only if you ride in relatively empty roads or streets. In a big city with heavy traffic she is not agile, and with it´s almost 200 kilos you´ll have to exercise your patience a lot. Choose well, I intend to ride her mainly on the road, slowly but with some charm too.

@@FreeMilesMC Turning Radius? What´s that? 😀I wish I could install a resting place for both feet behind stroke/ rear break pedals. If I could I´d change it´s position. When I see a depression or salience on the road (there are SO MANY in Brazil, where I live) I like to separate my body from the seat and let the bike (not my spine) absorb the impact. It can be done, but takes a lot of effort. I´m not a Harley guy, for shure!

    Nice area, where was that?
I tried out the somewhat older Classic 500 a few years ago - the EFI variant with 27hp. It kinda felt like riding a tractor, both due to the ergonomics and the long-stroke engine and its sound. It was kinda fun but the engine was very unwilling to rev, which made overtaking an endeavour that really needed planning. What I really like about it is the old-school construction, with lots of metal and very little plastic. There were some other quirks, like dashboard lights so faint that for most of my test ride I thought there weren't any, and had to shift into neutral just by feeling. The bike felt most comfortable at 80kph, while at 100 the vibrations were just crazy. All in all it was a very "special" feeling. The new 350 seems to be somewhat different, would you say the engine revs a bit quicker now?

My meteor was slow at first but i didn’t mind that as i was running it in anyway but these bikes are not as slow as people think , a little old fashioned know how and less than £200 Stirling and it is way faster and cleaner on the throttle and has gone from wheezy and breathless on hills to a proper hill climber once im doing 35 mph or more i very rarely run any gear but 5th up hill n down dale which for me is very important as i live in wales and it doesn’t matter which direction i head i’m bound to come across a huge climb, top speed is restricted via the ECU to 72 mph but i have managed to navigate around that issue though I can’t promise the same trick will work for the classic as I haven’t tried 👍😅

429 lbs is heavy! I'd like to have one though. I'm 67 and have owned many bikes in the last 55 or so years and just bought a Honda XR 150L

You can buy a good BSA C-15 250 for much less than the RE 350. More hp and much lighter. I have 4 of them in both street bikes and dirt bike versions. My BSA C-15 250 goes 60 mph 2 up with throttle left over. Big enough for 2 people, reliable and dependable transportation. You won't lose money 💰 ever. Holds it's value. Great beginner bike.

@@FreeMilesMC l love my Triumph TR25W Enduro. Light enough for me and fast enough for me as well. I bought my whole collection of BSA C-15 250's and my BSA 441 Victor for the same price of a new RE 350. Love them all. My 250:s are easier to start than the 441. So l love them more.
