I loved this fight and i loved Watase, he is like the twin of Kiryu and i have a respect for him as a character because he believes in a fair fight, hand to hand, in combat and is willing to show respect when it's due, excellent leader for the Omi.
I loved his character since the beginning of the game when he said, "After this is all over, im gonna fight you man to man and beat you" I was like damn, this guy must be hot shit

In y2/yk2 kiryu proves to be a stronger dragon than ryuji. In y4 and y5 saejima as a tiger is able to go toe-to-toe with kiryu and resulting their fight to a draw.. not once but TWICE. So it's safe for me to say that saejima is able to defeat ryuji in fight
Satrio Piningit also Kiryu definitely gets weaker in 4 because Majima states to saejima he wasn’t trying against him and considering saejima went head to head with Kiryu

If I remember correctly in Asian mythology, the Tiger and Dragon are both equals so it only makes sense that the two with the dragon and tiger tattoo are on equal footing. So both are canon, you're just seeing the fight in a different perspective.
Off topic but the sound at 0:18 would've suited kuroiwa getting back up so much Now on topic why the hell "all dynamic intros" people didnt include watase and katsuya as dynamic intro, since its obviously ones, same thing with y6 someya 2nd fight and most of the dead souls intros
kiryu is more skilled overall and has a better balance of strenght, technique, speed, combat skills. in terms of gameplay Kiryu has the best balance of everything, Seajima is the strongest character, but also the slowest.
