Crossbred Tangtai Shrimp!

I crossbred shrimp to make Tangtai shrimp!
These are some of the most interesting shrimp to come out of my mixed caridina cull tank.
My cull tank has all kinds of different shrimp in it and these are a culmination of the crossbreeding going on in that tank. I am thinking these are from a Caridina Serrata and a Caridina Cantonensis. Most likely a tangerine tiger and taiwan bee or crystal shrimp cross.
I decided to separate these guys into their own tank and add a few tibee shrimp that have come out of this tank as well.
We will crossbreed the two together and see what we get!

Since you wanted to breed purple shrimps at some point then I can tell you that you have to set up a tank with aura blues and red ruby extreme's. Got this from a trustworthy source, so I thought of letting you know🙂😉👊👍.

They were actually bred in the new tang tai tank! So it should be a pure tangtai. The tibee shrimp are still juveniles I don’t think I have any that are old enough to fertilize a female.

Oh good! I’m glad you found it. If they are a Neocaridina like blue dream or blue velvet they will not crossbreed with the crystal shrimp. Crystal shrimp are caridina.

@@ausjay5574 if your crystals are doing good you can always add more or wait to see if you have a mix of females and males. They will make you more 😉
