I'm a Colts fan, so I loved this season ultimately. But to be fair, our defense was pretty thoroughly hurt for most of the season. We ended up getting Bob Sanders back late. He was called the "Eraser" because he erased gouging runs that the front seven couldn't stop. The reason our run D was so bad was because he was hurt for most of the season. When they got healthy, they were good enough to be Super Bowl champions. Peyton actually had lackluster stats in the postseason, but it ended up not mattering because we had a great run game and a finally healthy defense for the playoffs. Adam Vinatieri helped a lot too, especially in the Division round lol

When the Rams were in St. Louis, it made no sense to put them in the NFC West while the Cowboys were in the NFC East, despite the Cowboys being farther west at the time. Not true. Just a bad run defense. Sanders, Bethea, Jennings, June, Brackett, Freeney, and Mathis all ended up as pro bowlers.

Sadly the Jaguars would collaspse after this game losing their final 3 straight to miss the playoffs they would make it to the divsional round next year. Very underrated years in Jacksonville in the mid-2000s

Jags had a nice run of success from 2004-07.
    04: 9-7
    05: 12-4 (Made WC)
    06: 8-8
07: 11-5 (Won WC, Lost Div)
They haven’t had a stretch like that since. Maybe Meyer and Lawrence turn it around?

Pretty insane this Colts defense allowed 375 yards rushing in this game...then allowed just 331 over 4 games in the postseason on the way to their only Super Bowl in the Peyton Manning era. Another example of how valuable Bob Sanders really was.
