McNabb had competant recievers only two seasons in his prime 04 (TO) and 08 (Djax and Curtis/Avant were solid). Wish the Eagles just payed TO but oh well 😔
More penalties today though. Illegal contact can be very annoying at times. And I hate it when players cry to the ref for a pass interference call when it clearly wasn't.
Wish they had Meryl and Mike Quick’s commentary. Aikman and Buck’s comments about 4 & 26 is telling. An iconic play and Buck explains like a robot “he might be short.” That would be like during the immaculate reception if the annoucers were just like sitting there saying “probably incomplete” with no emotion lmao
I like how instead of going "WOW THEY JUST CONVERTED A 4TH AND 26!" Joe and Cowboy Troy try and discredit it immediately "I don't think he got it" these announcers have always been a joke
Now that i look back. Akers missed a lot of big kicks in the playoffs. In 2010 Vs the packers he missed twice that game. Finall score GreenBay 21 Eagles 17. Smh.
This game is still painful because this was probably the best all around team the Packers had with Favre from 99 to 07. Plus Sherman firing Ed Donatell set back their defense a good 3-4 years. After yes Favre made a bad throw in overtime, but it never should have gotten to that point. Like taking the 3 points on 4th and goal instead of going for it, then 4th and 26 wouldn't have mattered.
James Malm you don’t see Brady Manning Rodgers or Brees throwing up on the sideline during a Super Bowl McNabb was great but I think if it was Wentz he’s way more clutch than McNabb so I think we’d have 2 instead of 1
On that strip-sack, how could McNabb fumble the ball so perfectly that, despite the fact that his momentum was going out of bounds, the ball somehow managed to defy physics and roll back towards the center of the field, where it sat perfectly for the Packers to fall on it? Between that, the Packers defense giving up a 4th and 26, and the glorious ineptitude of Favre’s last interception, it looks like this was less a game and more of a contest of who could derp it up most. Which Favre won, of course.
And he was so ready to take his helmet of after the play and the thing that is crazy it looked like he just wanted to go home and leave that behind him outside of 2009 NFCCG

They hit harder today, if anything. No need to to be delusional.
you're delusional
More penalties today though. Illegal contact can be very annoying at times. And I hate it when players cry to the ref for a pass interference call when it clearly wasn't.
If you took one hit from a modern NFL linebacker you'd probably cry for mercy.
I'll always believe that if we won this game we would've at least made it to the SB even if we ultimately lost.
If we kept it on the ground with Deuce we would have
I happened to be walking past a tv on the 4th and 26 play, I stopped and watched. I’ve been an Eagles fan ever since !!! 🦅
My God, even back then, Collinsworth was biased against the Eagles. Really annoyed he had to call our first Super Bowl win.
Just like Troy Aikman is biased against the Green Bay Packers.
Must be a die hard Philadelphia Eagles Fan.
Norberto P. Niebres he also always biased for the Cowboys and against the eagles that’s why I can’t stand him
Wish they had Meryl and Mike Quick’s commentary. Aikman and Buck’s comments about 4 & 26 is telling. An iconic play and Buck explains like a robot “he might be short.” That would be like during the immaculate reception if the annoucers were just like sitting there saying “probably incomplete” with no emotion lmao
Donovan McNabb's redemption game
Wow we will never be that good again
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) yeah we will
Hawkeye gamerguy I hope so
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) that was with ass recievers!!!!
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) how bout now 🤔
13-2 baby, best record in the NFL
I need 2004 NFC championship game
I was at this game.. I remember it being soooo cold! lol I think it was something like 15 degrees out with the wind chill. Worth it though!
Nah it was about 23 they show it near 5 minutes left in the 3rd
this is close to 20 years ago but the broadcast team hardly changed
Just came for 4 and 26. We called him FredEx cause he delivered...I want to thank his hands for it all possible.
Freddy Mitchell doing the discount double check before ARog 😁
"Notoriously venomous eagles fans"
Fourth down and 26 yards for the first down and it's like they didn't even talk about that unbelievable I can't believe that they made it
Donovan McNabb is a legend.Look at the widereciver he played with Medicare at best.Still make it to 5 NFC championship and Superbowl. That is amazing.
that's more a testament to reids offensive genius than mcnabbs playmaking abillity
@@salamipitza haters gonna hate no matter what. You are hating mcnabb your whole life. You are weakling
Fox should go back to these scoreboard graphics.
I like how instead of going "WOW THEY JUST CONVERTED A 4TH AND 26!" Joe and Cowboy Troy try and discredit it immediately "I don't think he got it" these announcers have always been a joke
Zach Kressler that's y we need Gus Johnson lol
Actually it was Chris Collinsworth, not Troy Aikman. But you're absolutelly right!
nobody says this tho
they gave them a much better spot but he did get it
Nobody said "I don't think they got it". They said they were surprised by the coverage
BRUH! I REMEMBER THIS CLASSIC GAME!
Holy snap! Chris AND Troy calling the game?! Woah thats really cool my 2 favorite guys to listen to
Favre pissed away MANY playoff games with game-ending interceptions.
You can't blame him for this game. How can you defense give up 27 yards on 4th and 26. That's ridiculous
Freddy Mitchell still talks about this at every Philly bar lol he always asks for free drinks as well
Now that i look back. Akers missed a lot of big kicks in the playoffs. In 2010 Vs the packers he missed twice that game. Finall score GreenBay 21 Eagles 17. Smh.
Gonna fly now! Flying high now! Gonna Fly! Fly! Fly! Fly!
besides 4th and 26. Eagles were also down 14 points in the first. that was also major
Donatell is a joke lmao
McNabb was a really good qb, his career ended terribly though
Polarizing personality who also was a hidden drunk.
stonebrooks 12 too bad he threw up on the football field during the Super Bowl which makes me lose all respect for you as a player🤷🏾♂️
Same with Culpepper. Daunte wasn’t as consistent as McNabb, but both had promise
John Omalley yup, john knows a good football player when he sees one.
James Malm you don’t see Brady Manning Rodgers or Brees throwing up on the sideline during a Super Bowl McNabb was great but I think if it was Wentz he’s way more clutch than McNabb so I think we’d have 2 instead of 1
34:20 the ref is faded
THIS GAME WAS INTENSE !!!!! AAHHHHHHH I remember screaming when Fred-Ex caught that ball 4th and 26! But Im here for the entire game!
Buck Aikman and Collinsworth are pretty good together
I was at this game and I still don't understand how Favre chucked it away like that in OT
Favre lost so many games with his final drive ending with an int. Most notably the 2007 and 2009 NFC Championship
And he was so ready to take his helmet of after the play and the thing that is crazy it looked like he just wanted to go home and leave that behind him outside of 2009 NFCCG
