      It really was a great playoff that year. I was in college. Went to a girl's apartment for a get together to watch the Rams Panthers game. Some girl ruined my new leather jacket opening up a 2 liter of coke that was dropped. Anyways had a great night and it was a great game. The Superbowl was awesome, my Patriots won. I missed the halftime fiasco because I was out of it, not paying attention. I was rooting for GB in this game. I couldn't believe they blew this game. Mike Sherman was terrible.

      I'm a New Yorker & Giants fan and I learned the whole Eagles roster just from those 2 big games a year vs Eagles. Division and postseason always on the line. I kinda liked watching Eagles play anyone else but NY, always rooting for them in playoffs. Because Rush Limbaugh that f__ calling McNabb an Affirmative Action QB who is only starter because he's black. White male hate and fear of black QBs is so transparently inferiority complex; Im Greek, we're proud of Giannis, but we don't try to explain away non Greek athletes and coaches success. Because that's pathetic. The "Black QBs/HCs/GMs suck and only getting jobs because Woke politics" can't even see what anyone working with teens can see; or really any adult with a brain: Inferiority and insecurity.

    As a packer fan this game absolutely broke my heart. Between this game and the nfc championship against Seattle, they were so close!! Literally both games took a miracle for the home team to win, and somehow both times the impossible happened to my packers.

    • @drewdrewski4188
      @drewdrewski4188 3 года назад +2

      Me too. That year's team had a real "team of destiny" feel for a while. There was the game in Oakland after Favre's dad died, then the miracle Nate Poole play just for the Packers to get into the playoffs, then the infamous Hasselbeck moment in the wildcard round. The day before this game, the Rams (who had GB's number those years) got upset by the Panthers, so it all seemed to be lining up for us right up until 4th & 26.

    This game is still painful because this was probably the best all around team the Packers had with Favre from 99 to 07. Plus Sherman firing Ed Donatell set back their defense a good 3-4 years. After yes Favre made a bad throw in overtime, but it never should have gotten to that point. Like taking the 3 points on 4th and goal instead of going for it, then 4th and 26 wouldn't have mattered.

    On that strip-sack, how could McNabb fumble the ball so perfectly that, despite the fact that his momentum was going out of bounds, the ball somehow managed to defy physics and roll back towards the center of the field, where it sat perfectly for the Packers to fall on it? Between that, the Packers defense giving up a 4th and 26, and the glorious ineptitude of Favre’s last interception, it looks like this was less a game and more of a contest of who could derp it up most. Which Favre won, of course.
