    I'm sorry, but if you broke a cement block on someone, they would have multiple broken bones from the impact. That's about like getting hit with a sledgehammer.
    They alternatively are humans, and superhumans in the same scene.

    • @quentin9251
      @quentin9251 3 месяца назад +1

      For the same impact velocity, the sledgehammer will be approximately 3.49 times more dangerous than the concrete block. This means that, under similar impact conditions, the sledgehammer would exert significantly more force, increasing the risk of severe injuries. Concrete blocks are indeed hard, but at a certain speed, they break, allowing the impact to be partially absorbed. This fracture helps dissipate some of the energy, reducing the overall force transmitted to the target.

    • @13shadowwolf
      @13shadowwolf 3 месяца назад +2

      @@quentin9251 I used to work construction, those cinder blocks don't fracture very easily. Drop one on your foot and it might bend steel toe boots a bit. Hit someone hard enough to make them shatter like that, and there's gonna be serious internal injuries and broken bones.

      He’s not a master of a martial mart, however he’s extremely proficient in boxing, kickboxing, karate, taekwondo, Krav Maga, wing chun, jeet kun do, aikido, wrestling, judo, Brazilian jiu jitsu, hapkido.
      In addition in the books he mostly uses head butts, elbow strikes, kicks to the groin, throat punches or eye gouging. The majority of his fights are based on realistic approaches and he fights smart and intends to finish his opponents fast and clean.
      In conclusion Jack Reached is highly skilled in martial arts and he fights smart and calculated.

    • @alertgasper
      @alertgasper 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@SaxyNiNja14 Back when the Jack Reacher character was growing up on military bases, those serving in the Pacific seemed to pick up martial arts a bit more--esp. with the Philipines offering some real amazing arts. Krav Maga, for example, was probably more in this century than the last.
      not to say he can't be a warrior monk and do his research. but the best student tends to be the interested one, and i'll guess someone of Reacher's size probably did OK for himself with what he did know, to go learn something else.
      not that i'm disagreeing with you--the books make a good case against using your fists in a fight (then do anyway, but oh well). but it's interesting to see where a fighting skill comes from, usually organically--someone learns what works for them and is happy with it.

    Why can’t writers do a little research about what they are writing. It would not have taken much that concrete would not be that wet. All they had to was have Reachers dusty shoes show tracks on new concrete, and just pound is face into it at the end. It doesn’t take much to avoid these kinds to problems. Overall Reachers is a very good show, I just wish writer would do just a little more research across all movies and shows when they write scenes…

    Never actually watched any of these, but it seems the whole thing is about this guy violently obliterating hordes of bad guys and always coming out barely winded and with only a scratch or two. Otherwise, though, his fight scenes pretty much give us what we wanted to see. The girl, however, is a very unconvincing "badass", and her lame "cool" lines just detract from things even more.
