Beyond act 2 I'm unsure because my friend group, myself included, haven't played past Act 2 at all yet! Take all the Time you Need! Dos2 is just fucking Amazing, im learning tons of Cheesestrats + other routes and playling atm 3 different Savefiles :D There is so much you can do, can't wait for Act 2. (Even if it takes weeks, i will be here!)

I think for the houndmaster I just bolted them all down with crossbows after jumping my characters to the high ground. Same with Kniles. Since that was what I did for the voidwoken deep dweller I thought it would be too repetitive. Luckily I'll get a ton of new skills in Act 2 to use!
I can't remember if I cut it mentioning it from the video or not, but she drops her mace too! Its a pretty strong weapon to have early game. You also get an achievement on steam for it
Used to be really easy to do with a Skelton character, you'd use the death fog from the ship Now I think you can't do that or it became harder, the kraken explodes everything too quick now
@@markjones1166 Death Fog is how I did it too. I was playing with a friend and I went “Wait a second, I can walk through this stuff.” And had us reload so I could try picking up the barrels. I think I got three? Maybe just two. I still have one in my inventory.
I did fight Dallis with Spiffing Brit strategy, stacking barrels inside the unbreakable chest then attack the enemies by using telekenesis to drop the chest to the enemy, although it only works with the an enemy that doesn't reflect physical damage, I did that with an enemy who can reflect physical damage and it one shot me 😆😆😆
Divinity is so deep and has so many interesting mechanics that I honestly don't even think that we can say most of these are cheats. The Barrelmancy in particular seems like they intended players to start destroying enemies with sheer weight alone
@@Fracture.Gaming yeah, funnily enough the entire reason that I got into Divinity was that combat is so versatile. I've always disliked turn based combat, and despised RNG that allows an opponent to dodge an attack, but divinity is great because while you can miss a basic attack, that isn't your only option at all. You CAN teleport an opponent into lava. You CAN use lightning on your opponent's blood to shock them with their own fluids. You CAN stand around for an hour slowly getting your incarnates to do all of the work.
Its like the epitome of a Video game replicating a TTRPG Asking your GM if you can do something insane, and the GM of Divinity is just like '.... Lets do it!' Every single time
I'm heartbroken seeing how easy he made these gruesome fights look... My first Alexander fight was so intense and he just drops a chest on him until he dies lmao 10/10 video 11/10 relationship jokes at 18:10-19:25 haha

my strategy for that fight on tactician mode was to just teleport alexander into the middle of my full party, cast dome of protection for continuous armor regen and mug him with physical attacks until the worm shows up to finish the job. Not quite as cheesy as this strategy but still, it was absolutely braindead and still somehow worked lmao
This was a lot of fun, please do act 2 too. My favourite early days silly mode of winning boss fights, was the guy who killed Alexander by only smashing him with those giant portraits of himself that are all around fort joy.
I'll definitely be doing act 2, though it will be a bit before I can get to it. And killing Alexander with his own portrait sounds amazing, I love that idea!

I'm surprised you didn't use the strat to grab the deathfog barrel from the tutorial to drop on dallas when they are doing the rp at the gate, i think if you sneak around the right side you can climb up the ladder and drop it down, it'll one shot everyone down there lol.

No matter what I see in this game that i'm surprised by there's always a more ridiculous way to do it. This video is proof. The devs must love how thoughtful and creative people are with the deep mechanics. I guarantee they watch these videos. Well done.

Awesome video :) If you want another fun strategy, perhaps for a future episode: Shackle of pain can transfer damage that you take from healing as an undead. A bottle of beer heals 20%. If you put all your points in constitution, take 5 star diner, at level 20ish you can be dealing over 5000 damage per beer. Kill enemies by drinking beers! Maybe not as insane as some of the strategies you showed but I definitely got a kick out of it when I first figured it out.

Both Radeka and the Voidwoken Deep-Dweller died to Fane’s bow. Run failed. 😜 For real, though, this was amazing. I’ve been playing this game for years and didn’t know about half this stuff. I’m now *very* interested in doing a Lich / Necromancer run with the strat you used against the crocodiles. 10/10, my guy! Can’t wait for part 2.
14:17 Yeah the AI in this game always goes for whoever has the least armor/health, I was playing a necromancer with a shield build, and all the enemies would just completely ignore me to beat up my friends, it kinda defeated the point of being a tank.

Honestly, some of these aren't even cheesing, imo, just very well thought well crafted strategies taking advantage of the battlefield which is very interesting and fun to watch. The fight against the Deep-Dweller was probably my favorite part of this video.

My strat for the Alexandar fight that I actually did once was to teleport the Metamorph down to where everyone else is, then immediately chunk Alexandar’s health from the high ground (which causes the worm to spawn), then just hang out up there and watch all the Magisters fight the worm. As it turns out, they won’t even come for you if you’re farther away than the worm, and the worm will usually kill most of them but will end up dying to them with 1 or 2 left at super low health, making it easy for you to finish off. Depending how they all position themselves, it seems like the Ranger is most likely to survive unless the worm uses drill to get up to that platform, so you can even use some teleporting to maneuver them around instead of just skipping your turns all the time (but I never had to actually attack any of them)
Sounds like a good strat... I unintentionally did that a little by getting one shot, with the downside of not getting the exp for the magister the worm killed while I scrambled to revive Fane. In other words your way is better :)
This is my absolute favorite game, and seeing all these nonsense strats is just so eye-opening to how dumb this game can be sometimes. 700 hours, and still there's new ways to play just waiting everywhere. My friends and I usually just chest/barrel nuke or barrelmancy if we want to cheese, but these will definitely come in handy.
Doing that on lvl 1 is a nightmare, a single mistake and you DI... i mean reload! XD Me on the other hand, i collected every oil and poison barrels and made a 4 tall circle tower around Alexander, had my skeleboy send him straight to hell with some fireworks!
Sooooo truuuu!!!11!1!1 it's like da elder scrolls v skyrim, it's very underrated. Same with diablo 2 and metal gear solid v. Feels like no one had ever played those games fr
Gotta admit, that Totem strategy in the beginning was beautiful. The only one in the video that I never thought of trying. Also, I had no idea Dallis woud nope out like that in the early skirmishes. (I'm actually not sure if she does that when the ship gets attacked, as I never managed to take her down there as well.) The cons of refusing to play not as True Lone Wolf I guess. Some things will always be beyond my reach. And just as an added P.S., don't worry about making long videos. You did great for this one, can't see it going any poorly.

Ah dang, this definitely makes me want to get back into this game. I made it to act 4 but put it down... but it looks like there are a lot of strategies and craziness I just never even thought of. Also, RIP Slane. Watching that fight admittedly made me pretty bad for him.

I have not, 350 hours of divinity and have no idea what lies beyond act 2. I’ve played with multiple friend groups and they all seem to run out of steam about halfway through act 2.

Yeah the line between exploit and strategy can be pretty murky in Divinity, and that makes it really fun! Everybody can play their own way

2nd battle, the companions turned into unsuspecting living bombs, Kurotsuchi Mayuri will be proud of Fane.

This is my absolute favorite game, and seeing all these nonsense strats is just so eye-opening to how dumb this game can be sometimes. 700 hours, and still there's new ways to play just waiting everywhere.
My friends and I usually just chest/barrel nuke or barrelmancy if we want to cheese, but these will definitely come in handy.

Doing that on lvl 1 is a nightmare, a single mistake and you DI... i mean reload! XD
Me on the other hand, i collected every oil and poison barrels and made a 4 tall circle tower around Alexander, had my skeleboy send him straight to hell with some fireworks!

Gotta admit, that Totem strategy in the beginning was beautiful. The only one in the video that I never thought of trying.
Also, I had no idea Dallis woud nope out like that in the early skirmishes. (I'm actually not sure if she does that when the ship gets attacked, as I never managed to take her down there as well.) The cons of refusing to play not as True Lone Wolf I guess. Some things will always be beyond my reach.
And just as an added P.S., don't worry about making long videos. You did great for this one, can't see it going any poorly.

I'll try to break it down better in the next video! I think doing all of act 1 as a single video was too much, I felt like I had to trim a LOT out to stop it from being an hour and a half long...

I tried to do the infinite totem summon cheese.
But after like 10 totems, the turn ended and set it to act from first to last. Which made it a no go.
Ah dang, this definitely makes me want to get back into this game. I made it to act 4 but put it down... but it looks like there are a lot of strategies and craziness I just never even thought of. Also, RIP Slane. Watching that fight admittedly made me pretty bad for him.

Absolute ultra cheese. Top quality cheddar. I expected repeated deathfog incidents, instead got a variety of hilarious strats. Great stuff. And you haven't played past act 2??
I have not, 350 hours of divinity and have no idea what lies beyond act 2.
I’ve played with multiple friend groups and they all seem to run out of steam about halfway through act 2.
@@Fracture.Gaming It sadly is really difficult to keep groups together through a full playthrough, and act 2 is very long. 350 hours without getting there is still astonishing though. I look forward to seeing your future shenanigans.
@@Arkenai7 Yeah I really wish I'd gotten further. 3 different friend group attempts have all ended in act 2, and I've played solo to act 2 twice but didnt' want to go on because I really wanted to experience it for the first time with friends
I'm surprised you didn't show the arena fights in Fort Joy. Some of them are kind of tough.
I don't remember what I did for that fight. I think I was worried about the video getting too long. Tbh, I was worried about everything since it was my first video.

I have a lot of fresh ideas for act 2 using new skills, but I actually haven't played past act 2 yet with my friends & haven't wanted to bolt ahead solo so I really don't know!
