My self-worth has often come from Accomplishment, which, over the years, I'm realizing it is toxic.
Realization is the first step to change all good
@@MediaMunchies495 The problem is now I have given up on life
@@DariusExplains pls don't .
@@DariusExplainslisten, I understand completely. I too let my self worth come from accomplishment, because when I was a kid I lived in a dysfunctional household and being on the autism spectrum, constantly embarrassing your parents or angering them because you seem like you can't do anything right. It's ok though, my relationship with them has improved immensely throughout the years and they have made up for it, and I still love them, but I spent years of my life struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts. I felt like my life was a joke and I lived in a more sheltered environment until my teen years, wondering why God hated me. Turns out I was wrong, God loves me more than I can even consciously comprehend. No idea what your stance on that is, and it's ok if you don't believe, but there are still ways to overcome your traumas and insecurities by healing these wounds. The more self reflection, healing, and self love you integrate into your life, the better your life gets. I recently went through hell and back metaphorically speaking, but after it was over, I managed to quit smoking and things are starting to look up for me again! I promise, anyone can accomplish this, and I wish everyone the best of luck, and much love ❤
@@DariusExplainsWhy Bro?
Benson might have some anger issues, but it's Mordecai and Rigby who don't even do the minimal parts of their jobs. If you just work without wasting 90% of the time slacking off, Benson can be a great boss to work under.
Yea benson isn’t a bad boss at all
I remember in the first episodes he was pretty chill with Mordecai and Rigby but as the episodes went on as he went on with dealing with their lazy shenanigans (dooming the world yet again), he becomes the known furious dude we usually know at the surface.
This really brings out how much Benson really cares about his job
Yep
He has nothing without...
No home
No wife
No family
No stability
It's alright Benson we'll find more opportunities
This actually helped me realize that getting fired from a job I hated was one of the better things that could have happened to me. I hated that place because I got no respect and it ground me down to the point I stopped giving my all. Now I don't work nearly as hard as my new jobs and my stress levels are down. I don't think there will be any job or business worth my sanity, especially since I'm single and don't have the weight of a wife and kids to contend with.
Feeling trapped in a job is one of the worst things I've experienced. To hell with it.
It's great to hear that getting fired ended up being a positive turning point for you. Sometimes, losing a job can feel like the end of the world, but it can also be an opportunity for a fresh start. It sounds like you've found a better balance and lower stress levels in your new roles, which is really important for your overall well-being.
Your perspective on not sacrificing your sanity for a job is very wise. It's crucial to prioritize your mental health and find work that respects you and aligns with your values. Being single does give you the flexibility to make choices that are best for you without additional pressures.
Feeling trapped in a job is indeed one of the worst experiences, and it's good that you've managed to break free from that. Keep focusing on what makes you happy and what maintains your peace of mind.

Benson is a saint for giving Mordochy and Rigby ALL the chances, even though they ( literally) at times made the park a hellscape by-weekly!
Yes he’s not bad at all very forgiving

@@MediaMunchies495 I’ll take a look. Thanks.
Oh yeah Benson does remind me of Squidward. I just realized that.
I think Benson as a character also speaks to the pressures we put on ourselves to be someone- just ANYONE. He puts these expectations on himself of what he thinks a boss should be like and whenever something went out of line of these boundaries of ‘the perfect/best boss’ he would feel like a nobody.
that episode of benson holding in his angers gotta b one of da best. funny that pops is the boss in that one
Definitely one of the best
This really spoke to me. Especially at the 3:18 mark
Bout 10 days ago I was in a horrible car accident. Car flipped 2-3 times while driving to work. Miraculously, I only had a slightly broken nose. I can’t show pictures on RUclips but looking at that car, I should’ve died, had brain damage or been paralyzed
I told my boss I wouldn’t be able to come to the event that we was having that day and she asked me (after being surface level being nice) could I take a Uber to the job. She saw the picture and still asked me that only a hour after the accident while I was at the hospital.
I emailed her boss what she said later that night and the next day. I was fired. They never cared for me and fired a person that could’ve died the day before. But In a way, I’m glad it happened, I don’t think I wouldn’t have gotten out of that job without that accident. I already bought another car and got a few interviews lined up. Im not going to get obsessed with a job like that ever again or tie my identity to it because in the hospital I almost relented and asked my parents to drive me there after I got all my X-rays (and if nothing was wrong with me).
Wow, that is a truly powerful and moving story. I'm so sorry you went through such a terrifying experience, but I'm also incredibly inspired by your resilience and positive outlook. It's shocking how some employers can be so heartless, but it's clear that you're stronger for it. I'm glad to hear you're doing better and have new opportunities on the horizon. Your perspective on not tying your identity to a job is a valuable lesson for all of us. Thank you for sharing your story and reminding us of what really matters.
@@MediaMunchies495thanks man I appreciate that so much. For the longest I was tying it to my identity and my family was telling me from almost day one, to get out of there, and that I had already proven myself (the commute itself was like 3 hrs a day and I was there for like 9 hrs so it was 7am-7-7:20PM days depending on traffic).
Honestly wish I listened to them sooner but yea weirdly glad this happened. I wouldn’t have had the strength but now I think I would if I found myself in a similar situation
I’m really glad you’re alive and here to share your story. It was definitely a lesson.
Benson definitely deserved better!

In hindsight regular show is a pretty clever and meaningful show
Very clever indeed
I think everybody needs someone like Benson in their life honestly. I really wish I had someone like Benson when it counted because I spent the majority of my teen years and half of my adult working life slacking off, being "good enough" to not get fired. Which I mean, is fine for a dead end restaurant or warehouse job. Its not like you're changing the world or anything, it's just a job, especially in your teens and early 20's. But then after rewatching a lot of Regular Show later on and getting a promotion, I tried to be a boss like him when I had a managing position. Always did my best to be human to my guys so they didn't feel like a human barcode in the workplace and so they felt heard and respected.
Sometimes that harshness is necessary though, but as a last resort, which is something I originally didn't like Benson for. He would immediately jump to "do it or you're fired!" and I always thought he was a terrible boss for it, until I became a boss, and as it turns out, some people really just don't cooperate with pleases and thank yous, sometimes you have to be the immovable object and Benson was doing just that, since Mordecai and Rigby just don't get things done without the threat of their jobs. As a supervisor, you will encounter a lot of Mordecai and Rigby type of people, and your work ethic and people skills will be tested a lot.
But ultimately I realized that Benson is not a bad dude. If anything the majority of the negative stuff that happens to him and around him makes him a victim of circumstance and has him picking up the pieces of a lot of things that should not unfold the way they do. He's very down to earth, chill, likeable, and overall just human. He's just a guy who gets frustrated at work a lot, which is something I related to so much before I left the supervision position.
I completely missed this entire era of television, but there is so much content that it's hard to justify sitting down to watch it. Not to mention that since it's no longer on the air, not many people are talking about it anyway.
Yea I really love this show whenever I’m in a bad mood it’s my go to comfort show also why I wanted to make a video on it

Only critique I really have is the idea that the episode he gets replaced is the one where he finds self worth…..cause that actually comes up *before* all that other stuff even happens.
It’s like a mid-season 2 episode…pretty early on before any developments start really happening

I can relate to Benson because I have no idea what I want to do in my life now, tomorrow or ever and to add to that I have learning disabilities, Asperger sindrum and autism and God and Jesus are my mordiky and Rigby.

Benson on a good day
Mordecai and Rigby.
Man I been rewatching this show and wow it really hits different now as a working adult. I feel like black folks in the workplace can especially connect with Benson---feeling like our mistakes will cause us to be labeled and stereotyped as lazy and incompetent and possibly cutting us off from opportunities and upward mobility. Feeling like we need to put in twice the amount of work as our peers to prove ourselves. I feel this way and I've heard from others who do as well. Its wild how so many cartoons can entertain us as kids and speak to us as adults.
Hold the FUCK UP. That animal crossing music was GOLDEN. More of that pls

@@MediaMunchies495 I have a second channel trying to make videos like this huge inspiration
How to describe it. I can't do it well. But i live in hell at the moment, build by myself out of everything surrounding me. In other words I'm over stressed, over anxious, very depressed, there's a war in my country. I lost my friends. It's was an world ending event. And currently i have no respect towards myself showing off inadequacy to absolute strangers on the free chat platform. That's just mind their stuff like creating AI pictures or chats. I posted alot of songs by group called Citizen soldier. Ones that's was more towards hopelessness like "i hate myself" good lyrics read don't listen. "Surrender" and etc. Just lyrics was exactly what i wanted to tell. Oh, i also attacked people who's where trying to help me out. Because felt they were not honest and truthful in their messages. I stopped believing in good nature. And in existence of good people. Completely broken. Couldn't even walk half an hour to try and get a job to pay for bills and loans family have... because not even my mom believed i could receive it. Well. *Hell is better place than Earth* summarise my feelings about everything. I want to go to hell. It's feels like an nicer place...

What kind of statistic is "90% of people die with regrets"? How do you possibly measure that?
I it’s a general population census that some not all filled out
@@MediaMunchies495 Can you link to that? It doesn't really make any sense to me from what you're saying. Is it filled out from people who are near death? Because if it's from a general population then it's really just a ton of people speculating on if people die with regrets. That doesn't actually prove it.
Look I love Benson since day 1 but I can never understand when people say
“Benson is a good boss because he gives Mordecai and Rigby so many chances.”
What kind of dumb statement is that? It’s not Benson, it’s the writers! If Mordecai and Rigby were fired from the park there would be no plot. If those two were fired or let go from this park job they would get the job back by the end of that episode; the whole “YOURE FIRED” stuff is just a running gag.
Think of Alvin and the chipmunks. Alvin finally realizes how much of a pain he is to Dave and at the end of the movie he goes back to being that pain in the ass as if he learned nothing of what he had realized. Why? Because if there was no longer that formula, there would be no plot for movie or show ; so they leave him that way.
Same for Mordecai and Rigby. They could blow up a planet and still have their jobs. There is no Benson giving them many chances; it’s the writers that need the main characters to stay at the park because if there is no park for them there is no plot. I don’t mean to sound condescending but come on guys, use your heads. If Mordecai and Rigby were fired and were still unemployed for like 10 more episodes or for an entire season than it would be more realistic but since they always have their jobs, it’s the writers not Benson.
It's weird how benson was hated in the show, for many seasons, even though, he was the only character that i can somewhat relate.
I have been on Benson’s side since this show’s debut back when I was 15 and I never hated him. I don’t understand why people had to grow into adults to understand where Benson is coming from.
I never hated Benson since the show's debut. I like him because he reminds me of the teachers I show high respect for.
I was bullied relentlessly back in school. I'm a martial artist but refused to fight back because it is the responsibility to make sure students are kept in check. If I fought back against my bullies, the teacher would be blamed for not keeping things together. I wasn't going to jeopardize my teacher's job just because I wanted to make myself feel better or defend myself. Students don't take into account a teacher's well being but I do.
Therefore, I am completely on Benson's side.
And it drives me nuts that when people wish to be the responsible one, people calls that person someone who hates fun. Which is why Mordecai and Rigby have been driving me nuts since I was 15.
No Money = Shit Life.
Stop taaaaalking ‼️‼️‼️_🦝

Love the video, but where are you pulling theses stats out of man? 90% of people die with regrets? What, did we ask them afterwards 😂
Jesus is the way the truth and the life he died for our sins and he took the punishment that we deserve which is heII I hope you give your life to Jesus and repent and turn away from your sins The Bible says if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him out from the dead, you will be saved., I have honestly enjoyed your videos and all the great advice you have in them so thank you I love you bro but Jesus loves you more.
