The craziest thing I learned today was JG Quintel/Sam Marin (Regular Show), Pendleton Ward (Adventure time), and Alex Hirsh (Gravity Falls) all went to the same college together, all knew each other, all worked together, and all worked separately to create my 3 favorite childhood shows of all time. It must’ve just been something about that group that was special, because they figured out and accomplished something that no recent animators or writers have been able to accomplish in the current age of cartoons. CalArts is where it’s at I guess if you wanna get big into making cartoons, and you should probably become friends with a lot of people in your classes because that seemed to be crucial in the end. Without that, we would’ve never had these shows.
I think cal arts has a better animation department. not alot of colleges have the same resources that cal arts might have. if they do then its probably expensive. thats just my assumption.
