    Would connecting to the existing 6A lighting circuit avoid the 'new circuit' situation and only require a MW cert?

      It would yes, but always better on its own circuit if you can

      @@toolboxtalking - fair comment. Using the existing circuit loop prevents someone turning of the breaker due to nuisance alarm (as in 'tenants') as they would have no lighting.👍
