About a year ago, this video inspired me to start skating again after over a decade. I have since lost over 50 lbs and I've gotten back to the point where I'm ready to relearn front and backside airs on miniramps/bowls (4-6 ft transition). My kids are 2 and a half now so they're not ready for the park yet but we skate the livingroom and back patio all the time. Anyway, I've seen every episode. I love the series. Thanks Jeff and Vans for the inspiration and entertainment. I'm going to the skatepark 😎

Loved the video! Laughed out loud a couple of times. But nothing wrong with a kid playing soccer. Oldes son has the same soccer drive as his dad with skateboarding. 2nd son loves to go out in nature.... but the youngest one skates. In the middle of June this year I will be reuniting with my ten year old son after not seeing him for eight years....he skates! What you think we going to do after a long hug and a mug full of tears? My dads 49 and him and i skate every weekend, we've been doing it for about 8 years and it has been the best, my dads the best, i cant wait to have kids of my own to follow my dads footsteps and skate with my kids and make memories

I skated when I was a teenager, but (to my everlasting shame) stopped. A couple years ago, I bought one to keep up with my 5-year-old on his scooter. He decided he wanted to skate, too, so we got him a board and we started skating together. He's seven now and getting better and better, while I still suck, but we love getting to the park together. And I have had more than a couple teens tell me they'd love it if their dads skated with them.
I can't help but think of what Mullen said about too much praise has the weight of the tombstone, and then also letting Oscar know his dad was a gigantic inspiration to me and wish for him to hear his style will do the same. For this reason though, I don't want him to go through this thing that drives him away from skating so well... whatever that pressue is, but please God do inverts as badass as can be. That's all.
Still totally excited bout this thing that's happening when your own kids grow up. Still not wanting to push em into something they might not like, even regret someday, but at the same time knowing, it probably ain't wrong cause you yourself still so into it. I'd really love to have them find something so, well, nice like skating, but fuck it's probably gonna be skating anyway haha

I started skating a year ago and just found out my dad used to skate but stopped. Its great because i was able to get him to let my build a quarter.
